TRS leaders are worried that former Deputy CM Rajaiah would sabotage the party in the elections and work for TRS defeat and cause embarrassment to Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari in his own district.

In this way, he is planning to take revenge on both Kadiam Srihari and TRS party leadership at a time for insulting and humiliating him by stripping him of Deputy CM post.

Nellore Girl Crowned ‘Cutest Vegetarian Next Door’ By PETA

Nellore: Ishita Jain of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh has beaten out nine other female finalists to win People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s ‘Cutest Vegetarian Next Door’ contest, with 2,330 votes.

The 24-year-old will be featured on PETA’s website and will receive a certificate, sash, trophy, a vegan starter kit and a DVD of “Glass Walls”, PETA said in a statement. Jain was quoted as saying, “I have been a vegetarian all my life. I don’t want to kill someone just for taste”.

“Ishita is healthy, kind and caring, and that makes her even more attractive in our book”, says PETA India nutritionist Bhuvaneshwari Gupta. “Whether it’s to improve your health, fight pollution and greenhouse-gas emissions or save countless animals from the suffering and terror of factory farms and slaughterhouses, going vegetarian is always a winning proposition.”

Abhijit Waghmare of Ahmednagar is the male winner of the competition. Winners were selected based on several factors, including vote count, the statement added.

Only Mega Hero Who Failed In 2015

This year saw the releases of 5 Mega films. The only near possible Mega release, Varun Tej’s Maa Amma Seethamahalakshmi, completed its shoot yesterday, but the release date is still tricky as some say that it is set for a December 18th release while many argue that a January 24th release is also on the cards.

Firstly, it was the most popular of all the Mega heroes Powerstar Pawan Kalyan who kickstarted the Mega campaign this year with Gopala Gopala during the Sankranthi season in January. The film opened to rave reviews but the collections dipped drastically and the film ended up as an average venture at the box-office.

Then, Stylish Star Allu Arjun set the summer on fire with his family entertainer S/O Satyamurthy. The film opened to mixed reviews but surprised everyone by collecting huge bucks thanks to the summer advantage. In the end, S/O Satyamurthy ended up as a hit film.

Then came the Mega Menalludu Sai Dharam Tej’s Subramanyam For Sale. The film got Sai the much-needed acclaim as a performer and his dances were also appreciated. Trade wise, SFS was an average venture, due to the high production costs involved.

Recently, Varun Tej’s Kanche released on Dasara and got rave reviews for the film’s emotional content and also Varun Tej’s mature performance. The film is going steady at the box-office and trade analysts are predicting that Kanche willsettle itself in the above average category.

That brings us to the only disaster of all the Mega films, Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee. The film was released with heavy expectations but disappointed the fans bigtime. Incidentally, Bruce Lee also marks the comeback of the one and only Megastar to silver screen. Bruce Lee is the only Mega film that flopped big in 2015, leaving an unforgettable credit to Ram charan.

New Delhi: Stressing the need to keep the spirit of gentleman’s game alive, Indian limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Monday said Indian Premier League (IPL) has helped players from across the globe connect with each other and taken “ugly sledging” away from cricket.

Popularly known as ‘Captain Cool’, the Chennai Super Kings skipper has hardly lost his bearing on and off the field and the humble cricketer from Jharkhand is of the opinion that the IPL and all such T20 leagues of the world have led to a good on-field environment in international matches.

“We play a gentleman’s game. We want to win, but have to do it in the right way. IPL has taken the ugly sledging away from cricket. Friendly banter is good and that’s what these T20 leagues have done, really helped the cricketers in streamlining in what was known as sledging,” Dhoni, who shared the stage with West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, said at a promotional event.

“IPL has helped us a lot to deal with it (sledging). IPL has helped different players from different cultures come together and share the same dressing room. IPL got me closer to many individuals, whom I might not have interacted with otherwise,” Dhoni said.

“I don’t even interact with Indian players in IPL fearing what their team’s policy might be, so I take care of all these things. But my equation with many players has improved just because of IPL,” the wicketkeeper-batsman added. Gayle, who shares a great rapport with Dhoni, not only mimicked the batsman’s patent ‘helicopter shot’ on stage but also agreed with the the skipper on IPL easing tension between players.

“IPL has done wonders for the entire cricket fraternity. Yes, there is friendly sledging, like I enjoy with Pollard (Kieron, who plays for Mumbai Indians), but otherwise it’s cool,” said the destructive Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener.

Giving an example of IPL camaraderie, Gayle said, “I got to know Starc (Mitchell, who plays for RCB too) through the tournament. He is a totally different player in the dressing room. He is very quiet and very reserved, but it was good to know him.” Getting away from cricket, Gayle also talked about his friendship with Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt, joking that someday he can outrun the 100 meter sprint king on the track. Also at his wittiest best, Dhoni gave a fun trivia of Bolt becoming a sprinter after running and catching sixes hit by Gayle on a cricket field.

Four revenue officials suspended

Guntur: Quite a few people complained against revenue officials at an interactive meeting here on Sunday, leading to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu ordering the suspension of four revenue officials.

Mr Naidu, speaking during the second phase of the Mee Intiki-Mee Bhumi programme at Mulukuduru of Ponnur mandal, said citizens had to approach the Revenue department for 67 certificates, including birth, death, nativity, life etc. But for this, they had to make several trips.

He added that the department was known for harassing the public. “I have worked as a revenue minister in the past and observed the anomalies and have tried to change the system but in vain. This weird culture is still continuing in the Revenue department. I want to reshuffle the Revenue department and I am starting an online system to ensure transparency and accountability,” he said.

Mr Naidu added that at one time karanams and munasabs used to handle the land records and write sales and purchase agreements. No one could follow the writing so they were forced to visit them again to get the details. “In some cases, there are no objections from both the seller and the purchaser and neighbouring farmers but the Revenue department creates litigations and sets up objections, which is very strange,” the CM said.

“A person can have as many shares as he wants and keep them in demat accounts and sell them instantly. But we cannot sell our own land without the permission of the Revenue department,” he said, adding that applicants had to bribe Revenue officials to get certificates. Mr Naidu said he would initiate stern action, including dismissal, if the staff took bribes or were lazy in their approach.

In Worry: Reshoots Affecting The Business

The industry is in worry with the rumors about various movies being reshot as the distributors are giving a hand to the producers in the last minute citing the rumors.Recently there were reports of reshooting the movie of Akhil’s debut movie Akhil as it was postponed from October 22nd to November 11th and Nagarjuna openly made statements that he was not satisfied with certain portions. This has adversely affected the movie’s pre-release business.

The producer of Akhil, Sudhakar Reddy (Nithin’s father) had made agreements with several distributors for the business and made a good table profit but when the movie postponed and rumors about reshoot have started appearing, distributors have reportedly started demanding to slash the rates.

Buzz is that they would pay far less than the agreed amount as the D-day comes.

Similarly rumors did the rounds about reshoot of Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger that was immediately quashed by the producer. Fearing the distributors would ask low price, the producer made a statement. Tollywood makers apparently are going to cautious about their shooting schedules from now onwards.

Couple of days ago, a young man named Abhinav Mahender alleged in a press meet that TRS minister of state for Cinematography and Commercial Taxes Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s son Sai Kiran manhandled him and whisked away his wife and international tennis star Kalva Bhuvana. A case was filed at the Maredpally Police Station on Talasani’s son and there was a huge hue and cry against the minister since then.

To clarify all the allegations, Talasani arranged a press meet along with Bhuvana’s family, which was a total eye-opener to his detractors. The press meet revealed the shocking and torturous nature of Abhinav Mahender.

The minister played on loudspeaker the telephonic conversations of Abhinav and Bhivana’s father which revealed startling facts. Bhuvana alleged that Abhinav tortured her ever since their marriage in May this year. Bhuvana alleged that Abhinav used to lock her up in their house from the time he goes to work and until he came back.

Bhuvana’s father revealed that Abhinav beat him up badly in front of his family and even demanded him to register 3 crore worth property on his name, which was clearly recorded in their telephonic conversation.

Speaking on the occasion, Talasani appealed to the media to be more responsible while dealing such sensitive news. Talasani further requested media to only publish facts after gathering proofs and that his and his son’s image have been damaged with irresponsible reporting. Bhuvana filed a harassment complaint on Abhinav and the cops are investigating the case.

The movie is already a breakeven venture there. According to the latest update in Rentrack, Kanche has collected a total of $501,925 till date in the US. Back home too, the movie is doing decently well and is breakeven already in some areas.

Cheekati Rajyam Censor Report

The Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad had completed the censor proceedings of Universal Hero Kamal Hassan’s Cheekati Rajyam a short while ago. The movie had received U/A certificate with no cuts suggested.

The movie is now all set for a grand release on November 12th, two days after the movie release in Tamil. The audio launch event of the movie will take place tomorrow in Hyderabad. The makers are planning to promote the film aggressively.
