Bengal Tiger’s release date has been postponed by three weeks. Now that is not a small window of time and latest buzz in the industry is that the film hasn’t come up to the expectations of the hero and the team.It is known that Sampath Nandi is directing the film. Talk is that a lot of repair work is going on and that re-shoots have been planned.

As per earlier schedule, the film should have been hit the screens for Diwali. And accordingly, the film’s trailer has also been released. But now the film’s release has been postponed for three weeks and it is said that it could release in December. It is being said the film’s shooting was more or less over and when the unit watched the film, it was clear that none of them liked parts of it. So, immediately re-shoots were planned and the team announced the delay in release date.

However, there is another version that the film has been postponed for Akhil. Akhil is now slated for release for Diwali. But that is not confirmed as yet. So some say pushing the blame on to Akhil is telling gullible stories.

Naturally, this has strengthened the rumours about re-shoot and the unit is busy say industry insiders. The film’s hero Ravi Teja who is desperate for a hit right now is said to be pretty tensed about the film as it means a lot for him at this juncture. Well, it remains to be seen when Bengal Tiger hits the screen and how!

Science buffs may turn it down but the popularity of numerology and name-ology has benefitted milky beauty Tamanna Bhatia and anchor Omkar big time. Since Tamanna added a ‘h’ to her name, making it read ‘Tamannah’, she’s isn’t dried up of offers which many believe.

Mumbai, Oct 30: Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan’s on-screen pairing has been a hit since “Baazigar”, and their charm has been hard to match. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have come close to sharing a similar chemistry in films, but Kajol says it’s unfair to draw such comparisons.

At an event here, Kajol was asked if Ranbir and Deepika could be the next SRK-Kajol.

To that, she said: “Honestly, I don’t think you can compare anybody to anybody. I cannot be like Deepika or she can’t be like me…or we (SRK and I) cannot be like Deepika and Ranbir or vice-versa”.

Together, SRK and Kajol have featured in films like “Karan Arjun”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” and “My Name Is Khan”. The on-screen romantic couple is set to sweep audiences off their feet again with their upcoming movie “Dilwale” this Christmas.

On the other hand, Deepika and Ranbir have done two films together and are gearing up for “Tamasha”, directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is slated to release on November 27.

Mumbai, Oct 30: Superstar Kamal Haasan called on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray at his Krishnakunj residence here on Friday morning.

The Thackeray family – Raj, his wife Sharmila and daughter Urvashi – warmly received Haasan and two relatives.

They were accorded a traditional Maharashtrian reception with shawls and flowers — Thackeray draped a golden shawl around the 61-year-old actor’s shoulders.

Sharmila greeted Haasan with a ‘Namaste’ while Urvashi touched his feet respectfully as he blessed her.

The reason behind the meeting is not known though MNS officials described it as “a courtesy call” and dismissed speculation the actor was planning to join the party.

Kagaznagar (Adilabad), Oct 30: Folk singer Madhu Priya has courted a controversy by leaving her home without informing parents. It is said that Madhu Priya left the home as parents opposed her decision to marry her lover. The singer fell in love with Srikanth, who stays near her house at Nallakunta in Hyderabad.

Madhu Priya went to Srikanth’s native place at Kagaznagar in Adilabad. Some persons made a vain bid to kidnap the singer yesterday. The singer’s marriage would be held at Vasavi Gardens in the town today. The couple will invite Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the reception party to be hosted in Hyderabad on November 2.

Madhu Priya shot into fame with the folk song ‘Adapillanamma’ during Telangana statehood movement. She even lodged a police complaint against her parents stating that they were opposing her marriage. She turned 18 a month ago. Her parents are reluctant to perform marriage at a younger age. Though she is in love with Srikanth for the past two years, she revealed the matter after becoming a major.

Sources said that Srikanth works in a real estate company.

Featuring Nikhil and Nandita in the leads, Kona Venkat is now producing “Shankarabaranam”, a crime thriller set in Bihar backdrop. Buzz says from a long time that this film is actually a free-make of Hindi movie ‘Phas Gaya Re Obama’.

However there is never any confirmation about it, until Kona spilled the beans today. “The original idea of Shankarabharanam is taken from “Phas gaya re obama” & woven our story around it. We have taken rights for entire south!!”, said Kona.

It takes guts for any writer, director or producer to announce before the release that they have purchased remake rights and took central plot from that movie to make their new film. In that context, we have to admire Kona for his guts and belief in the content they have re-designed.
