Kamal Announces Next With Amala!
For all those Telugu movie lovers wishing to see Kamal Hasan doing direct Tollywood films very often, he is here to give the answer. After those golden times of ‘Sagara Sangamam, Swathi Muthyam, Indrudu Chandrudu, Subha Sankalpam’ kind of films, we have seen very few direct Telugu movies from Kamal like ‘Eenadu’ and now ‘Cheekati Rajyam.’ In contrast, all those hit Tamil flicks from Kamal were dubbed and released in Telugu.
From then on, Telugu audience continued to wait for a pure Telugu project to be undertaken by Kamal. ‘I know the interest Telugu people show towards me. ‘Cheekati Rajyam’ is shot half in Telangana and half in Tamil Nadu. This is a direct Telugu film. For your information, I also have one more project queued up for Telugu with Amala as heroine. It will be a bi-lingual to be directed by TK Rajeev,’ as said by Kamal at today’s interview.
Presence of Amala is a sweet surprise and her pairing with Kamal is surely to make this untitled venture, the most awaited one. Major shooting is likely to be commenced in the USA by this year-end or early next year.

“I will be seen as lead girl in a rnscience fiction thriller being directed by CV Kumar. It’s a bilingual”, rnshe revealed. This film has Sundeep Kishan playing the lead. Anyway, rncritics do say that Taapsee has to improvise her acting a lot in order rnto sizzle in author backed roles.
Shoaib Malik announces retirement from Test cricket
Sharjah: Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik announced his retirement from Test cricket after he failed in the second innings of the third Test against England in Sharjah on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old only made a comeback in the longer format of the game after five years in the first Test against England in Abu Dhabi, smashing a career-best 245.But since then he has made nought, two, seven, 38 and nought in the remaining five innings of the series, prompting him to call it a day.
Vijay and Ritu in Pelli Choopulu
Actor Vijay Devarakonda, who was appreciated for his role in Yevade Subramanyam, has got another good offer. The actor is playing the lead in Pelli Choopulu. The film was launched on Sunday morning at a private studio in Hyderabad. Ritu Varma is playing the female lead and Tarun Bhaskar is the director.
“This is a simple love story, but the treatment is fresh. I know Tarun for a long time and we are good friends. He liked my role in the movie Yevade Subramanyam and came up with this subject,” said Vijay. He added that many young technicians are working in this film. Raj Kandukuri is producing the film along with an NRI, S. Rangineni, from UK.
“KCR Scared Of Seemandhra Voters”
The GHMC elections have taken yet another interesting turn with the former Congress minister Marri Sashidhar Reddy approaching the Election Commission requesting its intervention in KCR’s decision to conduct the polls during the Sankranthi holidays.
The TRS government submitted an affidavit to the High Court stating that all the election process would be completed by 31st January. This move is being seen as KCR’s ploy to check the opposition Congress and the TDP-BJP alliance in the polls.
The senior leader stated that KCR is scared of Seemandhra people in the Greater Hyderabad region who constitute 35% of the voters. KCR is planning to conduct the polls when most of the Seemandhra people will leave for their native places during the Sankranthi holidays.
Sashidhar Reddy further said that KCR carried out the division of wards in the Greater Hyderabad region at his will and that the CM should stop the wards division until EC’s directives in the deletion of voters names in the electoral. He even demanded to increase the wards as per the population.
‘What is the hurry for Akhil?’
Nagarjuna says that they were aiming for quality over speed to ensure that his son Akhil’s debut film is worth the wait Nagarjuna has finally announced that his son Akhil’s debut film, Akhil, will release on Diwali, November 11. The film was supposed to release on Dasara, October 22, but was postponed due to technical problems.
Talking about the reason behind the late release of his son Akhil’s much-awaited debut film, Nagarjuna says, “Akhil’s film got postponed only because the special effects were not ready. We didn’t want to rush it. Why should we? What’s the hurry? If a postponement by a few weeks can enhance the VFX in Akhil we were all for it.”
The superstar adds that it’s quality and not speed that’s essential for his son’s debut. “Akhil is young. He has all the time in the world. We want his debut to be special.” “Rajamouli’s Baahubali and Eega were delayed by more than a year. They worked hard on making the special effects really special. Akhil’s film should be a polished product. Fans who are waiting to see him should not be disappointed.”
I relate to Size Zero: Anushka
During the audio release of Size Zero on Sunday, Anushka, who had to put on a lot of weight for the film, spoke about how she felt related to the film personally. “When I was a yoga teacher, I would see many women feel insecure when they put on weight. They saw magazines and films and would be insecure about themselves. I myself have gone through these emotions in the last 15 years as I put on weight and reduced. So the script is connected to me in real life,” said Anushka.
She adds, “You have to be comfortable in your own skin. I support the fact that everyone should exercise and be healthy, but at the same time you should not feel insecure about your size, colour etc.”
The film has a message: Don’t feel insecure about your size. “When Prakash narrated the script, I immediately said yes.” Prakash’s wife Kanika has written the story.
Mega Camp: Re-Bonding Or Parting Ways !
The recent incidents in the mega camp hint that all the stars in their family have differences with each other and finding it hard to be united together.Much is written about the rift between Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. Recently, mega fans started drifting away from Allu Arjun after the recent controversy about Bruce Lee and Rudhramadevi. Then Pawan Kalyan fans were angry with Naga Babu as he scolded them when they started raising Pawan’s name at Chiranjeevi function and they stayed away from the first day hungama for Varun Tej’s Kanche.

KCR On A Hunt For 30-Acre Site For His Chandi Yagam!
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has virtually launched a hunt to find a suitable 30-acre site to hold ‘Ayutha Chandi Yagam’ in December.It may be recalled that KCR has decided to hold the yagam in an unprecedented manner by spending crores of rupees for five days to seek divine blessing for himself, his family and people of Telangana besides thanking gods for fulfilling the wish of statehood for Telangana and for making him the first Chief Minister of Telangana State.
The yagam has been planned from December 23 to 27. During his recent trip to New Delhi, KCR met President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited them for Chandi Yagam. Sources said both have confirmed their participation.
With both President and Prime Minister confirming their participation, KCR stepped up efforts to make arrangements in a grand manner. He has been visiting various sites around his farm house in Erravelli on Hyderabad city outskirts and said to be zeroed in on a site right in front of his farm house.
However, the problem is that the said site is only 22-acres while the need is 30- acres to built helipads and make tight security arrangements for VVIPs, who are expected to arrive for the yagam. KCR has also decided to invite AP Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu for yagam in reciprocation for inviting him to Amaravathi recently. KCR accompanied by seers of Sringeri Peetham and prominent vedic scholars have been scouting for a suitable location to conduct chandi yagam since Saturday.
Biggest Hurdle For Akhil
Even Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger was pulled out of competition. Except for Rajugari Gadhi no other movie in the market is doing well at the moment. Only Tripura is the straight film that is releasing in this week. So ground is totally clear for Akhil to cash in on the hype and expectations.
However he is going to face a hurdle in the form of Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo/Prema Leela (Telugu Dubbed) that is releasing on November 12th, just a day after Akhil hits the marquee. Expectations on Salman movie are pretty high because of his recent form plus Rajshri Productions and Sooraj Barjatya factors.
Salman and Barjatya have done wonders at the Telugu box office with their Prema Pavuralu (Maine Pyar Kiya) and Premalayam (Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun) that were runaway blockbusters. Of course the third film in their combo, Hum Sath Sath Hain failed to repeat the magic. However Prema Leela cannot be written off as a mere Hindi dubbed flick.
It has the potential to take on Telugu biggies if it clicks like Prema Pavuralu and Premalayam did.
‘Will Cut CM’s Head If He Eats Beef’
The beef ban and there following protests against it have deeply rattled off the law and order in the country over the past few weeks. The situation worsened with the killings of a man in Dadri for allegedly eating beef and the following revenge attacks by the anti-social elements.
While several liberals and religious heads protested against the beef ban by organizing beef food festivals, right wing Hindu groups have been vehemently voicing support for the ban. Recently, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah of the ruling Congress party said that “no one could stop him from eating beef.”
The CM’s comments sparked off a huge protests in the state and today, a BJP leader SN Channabasappa said that the CM was behaving like a dictator. The leader then went on to say, “Let him eat beef at Gopi Circle in Shivamogga. If he does so, he will be beheaded. We won’t think twice about that. We have all grown up drinking cow’s milk,” said Channabasappa, alleging that the CM has hurt Hindu sentiments.
