At last, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja got a title for his film in Venu Sriram’s direction. Produced by Dil Raju under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film has been titled Yevado Okadu and it will feature Malayali beauty of Premam fame Anupama Parameswaran romancing Ravi Teja.

The film will be launched formally on 22nd October on the occasion of Dasara and the regular shooting will begin in November. Director Venu Sriram, who directed Oh My Friend several years ago, says that Yevado Okadu will be an inspiration to the younger generation and that fans will see an unexplored persona if Ravi Teja in the film.

Speaking about teaming up with Ravi Teja again after the super hit Bhadra, Dil Raju expressed happiness over roping in Venu Sriram and Devi Sri Prasad for the film. Dil Raju exuded confidence saying that Yevado Okadu will become a huge hit just like Bommarillu, SVSC, Brindavanam etc.

Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Kanche which was planned for Diwali release, suddenly is releasing for Vijaya Dasami, thanks to the postponement of Akhil. The movie will get a big boost due to Dussehra holidays advantage and the makers are increasing the promotions.

Some big offers are lined for the dubbing rights of this movie and the makers will complete the deals very soon. Kanche is set in the backdrop of World War-2 and Krish claims that ‘Kanche’ is a film that has never been made in Telugu Cinema and quite possibly Indian cinema before.

Bollywood model Pragya Jaiswal is romancing Varun in this film. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who is known for his critically acclaimed films like Pushpaka Vimanam, Aditya 369 etc is playing a crucial role in the movie.

Varun Tej’s debut film, Mukunda ended up as a dreadful experience and Varun wants to make amends with this film. On the other side, Krish recently tasted blockbuster success in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar is Back’.

Historic Success, Baahubali had completed its 100 days run today taking the Telugu Cinema stature to international level. The movie had grossed close to 600 Crore and its one of the India’s biggest blockbuster ever.

The movie had no major 100 days run in theaters as the makers did not care for their records and made way to other films whenever the movie had completed its run. Rajamouli himself openly said that there will not be any dragging just for the sake of records.

Currently the movie is being screened at several international film festivals and is also gearing up for release in China, Japan and other Asian countries.

On the other side, the pre-production of the film’s second part, Baahubali The Conclusion is going on. The movie is expected to release in the second half of 2016.

The regular shooting of the movie will begin from November. The shooting will go non-stop till completion. Summer release is planned for the movie. Premam fame Anupama Parameshwaran is signed opposite Raviteja in this film.

Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music for Raviteja after several years. Dil Raju will be producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Swamy Ra Ra fame Richard Prasad will be cranking the camera.

Before the shock of the release day sunk in, Bruce Lee had offered one more shock to Mega fans. The second day, even a Saturday had a dull start with noon shows registering bad occupancy every where in the Telugu states.

For an instance in Vishakapatnam, only three out of the 12 theaters were Housefull for the morning shows. Fans and trade expect the movie to improve from matinees. But this kind of performance on Saturday is alarming.

Bruce Lee had managed to collect 12.66 Crore share from both the Telugu states on its release day. Before the release, a 16 Crore opening is expected. You can estimate the effect of bad openings with that.

If reports are anything to go by, Bollywood’s versatile actor Irrfan Khan will be returning to Telugu film industry. Irrfan Khan is being considered for a significant role in upcoming Telugu film which is being helmed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti. Starring Mohanlal and Gautami in the lead roles, makers are planning to shoot the film in three languages (Tamil-Telugu and Malayalam).

Irrfan Khan is not new to Telugu film industry. In the past, he worked with Mahesh Babu in Sainikudu and now will be returning after 9 long years. Impressed with the line, Irrfan apparently given his nod for the film.

Billed to be a family entertainer, the film reportedly features four stories including a young pair.  Meanwhile, latest rumours are that actor Kamal Haasan would replace Mohanlal. Let’s wait and see. If all goes well, the yet-to-be-titled movie will go onto floors from the third week of November.

Adding to that, the expanded market after Baahubali, Chiranjeevi’s cameo and the wide release made the movie look which were advantages could not help the movie.

The movie’s opening is very week as it struggled to manage good occupancy even for the regular shows. The midnight shows and early morning benefit shows have no takers and shows have got cancelled in many places. Situation got slightly better only from the evening shows.

Just as actor Nithiin, the producer of Akhil Akkineni’s debut film Akhil, announced the postponement of Akhil from Vijaya Dasami citing delay in graphics work, social media was set on fire with angry Akkineni fans literally attacking Nithiin, Nagarjuna and even Akhil for the sudden backtracking.

The anger was so intense that several fans in Nellore even burnt effigies of Nithiin and director VV Vinayak for the film’s delay. But, things changed just within a few hours after Akhil interacted with his fans in the AskAkhil chat session on Twitter. Akhil started out with clarifying that the film was delayed only because of the graphics.

Akhil then went on to win the hearts of his angry fans as he humbly apologized to his fans for their disappointment with the sudden postponement. Akhil even sought the support of the Akkineni fans like before and promised to impress them all with a super hit film.
