Suddenly there are no ‘A’ rated movies in Telugu Film Industry. We mean, regular commercial films are not getting ‘A’ certificate these days, but are being conferred ‘U/A’ certificate only. Why this sudden change from the Censor Board?

Big producer who doesn’t wish to be named, says, “After Dhanalakshmi’s exit as Censor Officer, almost all the big films are getting U and U/A certificates only. Earlier she used to give ‘A’, if a heroine’s navel and waist is shown from a long shot. If a knife with blood is shown, we will get A. If a harsh dialogue highlighting heroism is said, then its A. But now that ‘peeda’ has gone”.

If we look at Ram Charan’s previous film “Naayak” and present film “Bruce Lee”, the dose of glamour given by Rakul Preet is too high than what Kajal and Amala Paul have done in that past flick. Coming to action sequences, both would have equally similar blood shed scenes. But Naayak was given ‘A’ certificate and Bruce Lee got ‘U/A’, which highlights the role of Censor Board and its officers.

Well, an A certificates would eat away revenue in the form of tax, while U/A will give some relief. Otherwise, audiences and fans don’t care for these certificates. Are they?

ISL (Indian Super League) superstars such as Lisa Ray, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mary Kom, Bhaichung Bhutia etc will take on a bigger opposition, smoking to bring out a healthy change.

Star music director Devi Sri Prasad also joins the ‘Quit Squad’ to motivate and encourage his followers to quit smoking. While you do so, he promises to quit a bad habit too – untimely sleeping!

This morning, director giant SS Rajamouli along with this technical team comprising art director Sabu Cyril and Makuta VFX chief Pete Draper visited Ramoji Film City to discuss the sets. And that technically has begun the work of upcoming “Baahubali: The Conclusion”.

Reports have arrived that the lead cast of the film will join shooting from November, while in the meantime Rajamouli will shoot some crucial scenes on the supporting cast. Also he is planning to bring couple of new characters, thereby new actors on the board.

Meanwhile Sabu Cyril will be erecting some new sets for the film at Ramoji Film City only. Already the creative art-work development and casting process have started. So, in no time principal shooting of the mighty second part will also start.

As Rajamouli has shot 50% of the film nearly already, it’s another 6 month shoot pending. But we have to see how far the visual effects production will take its time to complete. Like we said earlier, maybe the film will release in late-2016 or mid-2017.

Akhil Akkineni has reconfirmed that his “Akhil” is arriving in no time. On 22nd October, we’re going to see him on silver screen for the first time as a hero. And here is an interesting titbit shared by the debuting hero.

In the whole film, there are two action episodes that are going to blow the minds. One happens to be a chase episode shot in Spain where Akhil has done somersaults and jumps very fluidly. That fight lasts for more than 5 minutes and its’ going to give goosebumps. “There is another fight sequence apart from this Spain one. That’s an underwater action scene. It’s as amazing as it could be”, says Akhil.

A little birdie shared with us, ‘Akhil is seen scuba diving into a big trench and a fight takes place inside the water. VV Vinayak has shot it so brilliantly while visual effects teams made some seamless integrations giving the whole sequence an innovative feel’. Already we could see glimpses of that scuba diving action episode in the trailer too.

All these action episodes are little over the top for a debuting hero and considering his age. Though Akhil is doing too much, everything is for the love of cinema. Good luck young man.

A controversial model and TV actress has hit the headlines for creating nuisance at a leading shopping store in New Delhi. She attacked staff of the store, which was recorded in a CCTV camera. The model, former Bigg Boss contestant, not only manhandled the staff but took out a pistol and threatened to shoot them.

The model was in drunken condition and lost her temper after a heated argument with a customer. When the staff and other customers tried to stop her, she assaulted them physically and verbally. Police are probing into the matter, but no case has been filed yet. Apparently, this controversial model has done the entire ruckus for exposure.

This is not the first time the model has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons. Earlier this year, she accused Bollywood top stars on various reasons.

Last month, a leaked video of this model assaulting a five-star hotel staff had gone viral. The hotel staff claimed that the TV actress was absconding without paying the hotel bills. However, she denied the claim and said that it was a publicity stunt.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti who became a penchant for delivering content worthy films, now came up with an interesting project. The movie will have Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal and Yesteryear actress Gautami playing the lead roles.

Earlier Victory Venkatesh was approached for the project and he even evinced his interest in doing it, but some how that did not well beyond that point and now Mohanlal is brought in Venky’s place.

The movie will be produced by Sai Korrapati, who produced films like Legend, Eega etc. The movie is a multilingual which will be made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan will be launching the first look teaser of Nikhil’s Shankarabharanam tomorrow morning. Kona Venkat who is very close friend of Pawan Kalyan made it happen. Previously Pawan Kalyan also launched the first look poster of Kona’s Geethanjali. The movie had recently completed its shooting part.

The audio release event of the movie will happen this month itself and the movie is planned in November as Diwali Special. The theatrical trailer of the film is being attached with the prints of Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee.

Kona Venkat has given story and screenplay to Nikhil’s next, Shankarabharanam. The movie is a crime comedy with a Bihar backdrop. The makers have shot the movie in very tough locales of Bihar and Pune. Some scenes are also canned in USA.

Many reigning music directors are known for their snail pace. They usually commit to multiple films and take up simultaneous journey delaying all the films. But that is not the case with Thaman.

Catching up with the speed of Bruce Lee team, the young music director had completed the re-recording of the film in just nine days working day and night. Already the songs and trailers have set good expectations on the re-recording work as well.

This is the first time Srinu Vaitla is directing Ram Charan. Rakul Preet Singh is romancing Ram Charan in the film. Chiranjeevi’s three minutes cameo marks his comeback to Telugu cinema after a long gap. Fans and trade are equally excited with his comeback.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Pataas which released last year is one of the most successful films in terms of return on investment. The movie is now being remade in Tamil with Raghava Lawerence in the lead role. Super Good Films, RB Choudary bagged the remake rights of the movie.

Sai Ramani will direct this film which will go on sets by this year end. Lawerence is currently shooting for his next, Motta Siva Ketta Siva.

The shooting of the movie is progressing at brisk pace in Tamil and it will be later dubbed in to Telugu after its completion. On the other side, the pre-production work of Pataas remake also began.

Our readers are aware that Megastar Chiranjeevi is planning to do the remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi as the prestigious 150th film. The project is likely to be announced on 16th of this month. On the other side, rumours are sprouting about the movie’s cast.

They say Vivek Oberoi who played Paritala Ravi in Rakta Charitra is being considered as the baddie in the movie. The confirmation is expected only after the official announcement. VV Vinayak is likely to handle this project.

The movie will start for Sankranthi-2016 and is targeting at Summer release. Ram Charan and his mother, Surekha will be producing the film on their newly launched, Konidela Productions banner.

The film industry is considered to be a haven for those who are creative and talented and it is also the hotbed for some out of the box ideas. While this may be the conventional side, there is also an unconventional side. There are many instances in the cine circuit wherein projects keep taking different twists and turns. Today, the situation is such that you are not even sure about a film till it enters the theatres.

The Tollywood circuit which was once a very orthodox and disciplined industry has also come under the influence and many cases happen here as well. Here is one such ironical example. Recently, a talented writer cum director brought a story to one producer and the producer liked it. As for the remuneration, the producer said “Let the shooting commence I will give when it is happening.”

In between, the shooting stopped due to lack of funds and after waiting for a long time, the writer decided to discuss it with someone else. But to his surprise, the producer is saying no citing “It has not worked for you or us so it won’t work for anyone.” This became an issue and the writer was in a major emotional turmoil and stress for a long time. But he didn’t give up his efforts and wanted a way out.

At that point, one of his friends advised the writer to slightly change the title and change the story and its character names a little. The writer did that and approached another producer. The result is, the producer approved this and the deal is almost getting finalized. Such type of gimmicks and unusual things keep happening and at the end of it all, you can only realize one thing, cinema is all about stroke of luck and fate.
