From financial hardships to postponement of the film’s release several times and even the stalling of the film’s shooting for several months due to lack of funds, Rudhramadevi’s director cum producer Gunasekhar faced it all and until the last minute.

The film finally released yesterday to an average response from critics and moviegoers. However, Rudhramadevi braved all these adversaries and notched up a staggering 9.14 crores share in AP and Telangana alone, becoming the 9th highest opening grosser in Tollywood’s history.

Adding to this whopping number, the US Thursday premiers collections of $126,276 and the Friday collections together ended up grossing more than $300,000, a decent show indeed considering the average talk.

Rudhramadevi now has the weekend advantage and with family audiences increasing with each show and with no major film around for competition, Gunasekhar and his distributors will have the last laugh.

Gunasekhar’s Rudhrama Devi has superb start on its release day. The movie had collected a sensational 9.17 Crore share in both the Telugu states which is all time ninth biggest first day figure in Telugu cinema.

The movie had collected 3.50 Crore share only in the Nizam region where it was greatly helped the 15% Entertainment Tax Exemption. The movie is likely to be strong till the end of this weekend and from Monday, the effect of the bad reviews may set in.

Sensuously hot Malayali beauty Nayanthara first made her acting debut with a Malayalam film titled Manassinakkare way back in 2003. She then debuted in Tamil with the blockbuster horror drama, Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi, a decade ago in 2005.

Nayan stepped in Tollywood with Venky’s Lakshmi in 2006. Just like most other heroines, even Nayanthara’s voice was dubbed by dubbing artistes all through her career.

However, upon director Krish’s insistence, Nayan dubbed her own voice in Krishnan Vande Jagadgurum, which released in 2012. Now, after 10 years of a glorious career in Tamil, Nayan dubbed her voice for the first time in her upcoming comedy film, Naanum Rowdythaan.

Today, the film’s teaser was released and Nayan’s own voice has become the main highlight and fans and critics appreciated for her new role after almost 10 years. Icing on the cake is, the news is Nayan dubbing her own voice has been revealed by her beau and the film’s director, Vignesh Shivan.

Fans are undoubtedly the most needed elements to make films succeed at box office. But this fanism sometimes irritates big stars as they continue to dictate terms.

Not all, but some fans will take this irritation part. They irritate Chiranjeevi by wishing him again and again. They irritate Mahesh to utter film dialogues at audio functions. They force Bunny to talk about a particular big hero from their family. They pressurise Nagarjuna to give them some selfies at airports. But our big stars never oblige such irritating demands.

All these things are little bearable, but Mega fans are now said to be sharpening their knives to fight with Mega Brother Nagababu. Already they have met him in a delegation only with the demand of stopping Konidela Niharika’s film entry. Though Nagababu made it very clear that their daughter will not become a regular commercial heroine, but picks only decent roles that has substances, these fans are said to be uninterested in taking their demand back.

In the past we have seen how Superstar Krishna’s fans created a huge scene when his daughter Manjula even started shooting with Balakrishna for a film. They have disrupted the shoot and threatened Krishna, after which he made Manjula drop her idea of becoming heroine.

Probably so much technology, communication pattern and society is changing, but not the ‘attitude’ of these so called fans. When Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti and Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam could pull a star-heroine act, why not Chiranjeevi’s niece, we mean Nagababu’s daughter?

Till date, these fans aren’t given an appointment to meet Chiranjeevi, and only if the mighty star appears at Niharika’s launch on 30th October, ‘mega’ doubts might get clarified. If Chiru extends his support, then what could even fans do? Let’s see.

This morning, Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee Tamil version Bruce Lee 2 had its audio launch in Chennai in a glittering starry affair. All the who’s who of Kollywood graced the event. Even the film’s team, heroine Rakul, director Sreenu Vaitla and writer Kona Venkat attended the event.

However, Ram Charan’s absence at the event was a huge disappointment for his Tamil fans. When probed further, it was learnt that Cherry was supposed to attend the event but missed his flight in the last minute as e was dubbing for Bruce Lee till 5 am.

This led to a series of amusing discussions among Cherry’s fans and his detractors. While several anti-fans were seen mocking saying that how come Charan, co-owner of Trujet Airways, miss his flight when he owns a flight company?

Couldn’t the company arrange a special flight for him so he can attend such an important event? Was yet another argument by the gossipmongers. To this, Cherry’s fans gave a fitting retort saying that Charan will soon meet Tamil fans in a separate promotional event before the film’s release on 16th October.
