Telangana Student Shoots Selfie Before Suicide
In a tragic incident, a Class 10th student named Santhosh Reddy from Abbapur village in Dharmaram Mandal, Karimnagar district, ended his life by jumping in front of a running train in a nearby village. In a heartbreaking move, Santhosh even shot his selfie video expressing the reason behind his extreme step. Santosh was a student at a private school in Julapally, a neighboring village.
Recently, the school authorities asked Santhosh to pay his fee of 15,000, out of which, Santhosh’s father, a farmer by profession, gave him 5,000 and told him that he will pay the next term fees when the crop is sold. Few days ago, one of the school teachers beat up Santhosh and even made him stand in the school premises, along with other students, for failing to pay the examination fees.
Deeply upset with this humiliation, Santhosh said in his selfie video that he does not feel like going to school anymore or trouble his parents by asking them to pay the fees. Saying that he had ‘thought about everything’ and said that ‘he is leaving everyone’ and asked his parents ‘not to search for him’.
Santhosh even wrote a letter about the video and upon discovering the video, worried parents quickly approached the local police, who later found Santhosh’s body on Railway tracks. A case has been registered against the school authorities.
Open Offer: Record Price For Brahmotsavam
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is in initial stages of production, although the film is getting fancy offers from distributors. Since Mahesh is biggest Telugu star in overseas, much better price is expected in the region. It is learnt that, Rs 13 crore has been offered for overseas rights of the film; however the filmmakers are yet to make a decision on it.
But, the deal may close soon as the price is big for a Telugu cinema. Mahesh Babu has four ‘million’ dollar films in overseas- Dookudu, 1 Nenokkadine, Aagadu and Srimanthudu. His last outing Srimanthudu helmed by Koratala Siva has made remarkable business in overseas territory collecting over Rs 19 Crores gross.
Brahmotsavam is likely to make much bigger theatrical business in overseas since the film is billed to be a feel good family entertainer and has ensemble cast such as Samantha, Kajal Agarwal, Pranitha Subhash, Sathyaraj, Jayasudha, Revathi, Naresh etc.
Although director Srikanth Addala delivered dud with his last movie Mukunda, nothing influenced Mahesh but the script, hence the superstar accepted Brahmotsavam. The film’s shooting is progressing at brisk pace as it is scheduled for release during Sankranthi, 2016.
Pawan Kalyan Rejected The Mega Invitation
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s upcoming action entertainer Bruce Lee-The Fighter audio launch event will kick start shortly with many Tollywood bigwigs gracing it. Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to be core attraction at the event and what more; he will probably make an official announcement of doing Kaththi remake with VV Vinayak.
If a speculation is to be believed, Power Star Pawan Kalyan was also invited for the function; nonetheless he rejected the ‘mega invitation’. In fact, Pawan won’t show much interest in coming out for public events. He skipped Chiranjeevi’s 60th birthday function held for mega fans, although he made it for private bash at a hotel on the very next day.
Nagababu made strong remarks on Pawan Kalyan fans for their shouting for the Power Star at Chiranjeevi 60th birthday celebrations. The mega brother then asserted that they will invite Pawan for every event, but his brother doesn’t like attending such public functions.
As per the buzz, when Pawan Kalyan was again formally invited for Bruce Lee audio release ceremony, for which he simply said no. No big surprise indeed!
Good News: No More Additional $2,000 Fee For H-1B Visa
In what can be called a huge relief to Indian IT and consultancy firms, the mandatory additional $2,000 fee towards outsourcing charges on the H-1B visa has expired by 30th September, 2015.
Until now, the Indian firms paid several million dollars for their H-1B visa employees outsourced to the US. The US Congress in 2010 imposed the law of ‘discriminatory’ $2,000 fee on IT firms with more than 50% of its IT professionals in the US.
The law lets the visa authorities to hike H-1B and L-1 Visa fee by $2,000 and $2,250 respectively on each application. According to a recent NASSCOM report, the Indian tech industry contributed an approximate $375 million since 2010 to the US Treasury including helping America secure its US-Mexico border.
Terming the fee unjustified, NASSCOM said “It had nothing to do with the IT industry.” However, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE-USA) criticised the US Congress for the lapse of the H-1B fee, and in a latest statement, the Congressional authorities said that the Congress can still reinstall the discriminatory H-1B fee.
Shivam Makers Should Immediately Do That
Young and energetic hero Ram and his ‘Shivam’ movie makers have tested audience patience with lengthy runtime (162 mins). In fact, we feel like watching two or more films. Shivam is already getting negative reports. Keeping other negative aspects aside, the makers should immediately cut down the film’s length to stop further damage.
Of late, in this fast culture, people are not keen watching a film with length more than 130-140 mins, even though it is a mass and commercial entertainer, although it is exception for masterpieces like Baahubali. Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu makers also trimmed few scenes after censor show in order for engaging narration.
Audiences are not in a mood to bear even small lags, wherein Shivam there are plenty of boring scenes throughout the film. Debutante Srinivas Reddy failed in all the departments- writing and direction.
Only positives of the film is Ram’s energetic performance and Devi Sri Prasad’s background score. Heroine Raashi Khanna appeared heavy beside Ram due to plump figure. Brahmanandam, Posani, Sapthagiri and others were wasted completely.
