Of late, this profession is turning to be quite challenging as no channel management is worried about camera angles, footage quality these days, but they are bothering only about content.
Getting a video of a celebrity caught during drunk and drive case is one big task for many camera people. For this they have to wait at the point where Traffic police are conducting drunk-drive searches and always stay focused with their cameras, such that they may get couple of frames of a celeb.
And other TRP bagging videos like couple kissing in parks, girls coming out of pubs in skimpy clothes, politicians slamming someone with cuss words, popular biggies puffing a smoke and the list goes on. Bring hot footage and take an increment seems to be the USP of some media houses when it comes to their cameramen.
Coming to camera people, they generally wish to film something so stunning that it showcases the society about what is really going on. Winning awards for their video-journalism and getting accolades for filming some tough stuff like cyclones, floods and curfews are their agenda. But this TRP loving media bosses never allow these talented camera guys to focus on such.
When Kajal Was Jealous Of Tamannaah & Anushka
Kajal Aggarwal is one of the top league actresses down south also with a decent fan following among Bollywood audiences. After a string of medium budget films, Kajal shot to fame with SS Rajamouli’s Magadheera, in which she was seen in the roles of a graceful princess and also a naughty college going student.
Speaking about her Magadheera director Rajamouli’s Baahubali, Kajal revealed a few interesting facts in a recent interview. Talking about the film’s lead actresses Anushka and Tamannaah, Kajal said that she was initially little envious of Anushka and Tamannaah for grabbing a memorable chance to act in the country’s biggest motion picture ever, Baahubali.
Kajal further said that Tamannaah is a good friend of her and that she is quite happy for her being a part of Baahubali. The ravishing beauty also said that Rajamouli rightly knows whom to cast in his films. Kajal also refuted the rumours surrounding her 2 crore remuneration and said that she only demands what she deserves.
Telugu Fans Fighting For Tamil Stars!
Fans of one hero can’t accept the awards given to other hero or his films or heroines. Sounds too funny but that is grim situation prevailing over Tollywood at the moment. Filfmare awards that are concluded last night have given raise to one such discussion on social circuits.
Few people have objected the “Best Actress” award given to Shruti Haasan for “Race Gurram” movie. They feel that Samantha’s performance in Manam deservers a pat on the back while Shruti’s role is just like any other heroine who does commercial roles, those song and dance routines.
As Sam’s fans are busy making these comments, Shruti’s fans started reverse attack. “Samantha’s expressions are no less the same in Dookudu, Seethamma Vaakitlo and Manam. Did she deserves an award for her consistent ‘same’ performance in every movie?” some asked.
While this discussion is going on, Mahesh Babu fans joined another such silly fight where they are battling for cameraman Ratnavelu. Actually Manam cinematographer PS Vinod has walked away with honours for Best Cinematography but Mahesh fans feel that Ratnavelu deserves it for 1-Nenokkadine. Wonder if these guys ever know what they are fighting for.
An onlooker commented: “Telugu fans are fighting for these awards for not given to their favourite stars and their movies. But none of them is a Telugu star; all hail from neighbouring Tamil state. Hope we fight for Telugu technicians one day in Telugu industry“.
Pic Talk: Vikram’s Hard Work Goes Vain
Here are a few pictures of Tamil star and national award winning actor Chiyaan Vikram getting his makeup done by the prosthetic makeup experts from the New Zealand’s WETA workshop for the hunchback role in Shankar’s I. For this makeup, Vikram spent nearly 5 hours each day in the greenroom to get the perfect look of a disgusting hunchback.
When this Shankar’s most awaited visual effects spectacle was released for Pongal, all eyes were on Vikram to see what this 48 year old star did in altering his body to dangerous proportions just to get the look right on screen.
If he beefed up with a 6-pack for the bodybuilder’s role, Vikram then lost all weight and brought it down to 40 kilos for the hunchback’s role. Shankar himself revealed that even Vikram’s wife was terribly scared about the extremes the star went to mould his body for the film.
KTR Became Political Powerstar On Twitter
No matter what, no question what, no query what, TRS MLA and IT Minister KTR is having an answer. That’s what makes him the political powerstar on twitter as he answers nearly a question every 30 seconds for 80 minutes. The #AskKTR event on twitter is a huge success and the way KTR answered some questions is amazing.
Like everyplace, we have many critics who bounce unwanted questions at unwanted times, and one such guy asked, “Sir, no proper masala is added in biryani these days. Pls take it up with hyd restaurants“, for which KTR replied, “Yeah, that’s my job man. Cmon“. Which Minister would answer such a stupid query? KTR deserves a pat for his sense of humour.
Another person asked KTR to tell few words about Balayya. He replied, “Hindupur MLA I think?”

Apart from these funny questions and answers, KTR gave some serious answers regarding welfare of Andhra people in Hyderabad, developments in Telangana, government policies and the seriousness with which he wants to make Hyderabad a startup capital in India. He wished AP people the best for their future capital. On taxing AP vehicles in Telangana, he snapped that it is like any other two states in India.
On one question, where a guy posed him if Telugu states are looking like India and Pakistan, he gave a befitting counter. “Only to those who will wear Yellow glasses“.
For another snap where he is asked to respond why he abused a police officer with cuss words, KCR gave a quick reply. “I did lose my temper. Not something I am proud of. My apologies to the officer“.
Guinness Record for Baahubali On The way
After the record highest budget being invested in the making of the film which is never seen before in Indian cinema history, Baahubali is all set to create yet another record and this time on a global level. This evening, the film’s Malayalam version’s audio will be launched in a grand affair in Kochi, Kerala, with the film’s cast and crew gracing the event along with several Malayali celebs.
On this occasion, Baahubali’s Malayalam distributors and the event organizers will be displaying the world’s largest film poster ever. Apparently, this huge poster will also be inspected by the Guinness Book of World Records officials and if everything goes well, we can expect a Guinness Record for Baahubali as well.
So far in Tollywood, legendary stars like Ramanaidu, Dasari, Vijaya Nirmala, SP Balasubramanyam, Brahmanandam have been adjudged with the Guinness Book Record. Also, Ramoji Film City too holds a Guinness record for beingthe world’s largest film studio. Let’s wait until the film’s release to witness Baahubali shattering more records in the country.
