Heroine Nayantara has this habit of not attending the promotions of her movies as she revealed umpteen times that only acting is her job but not marketing. Quite a foolish conclusion that is, but surely she has stuck to her commitment even if it’s the case of a star like Surya.

There are almost a dozen of flicks in Nayan’s kitty at the moment, and they will be releasing in the coming few days. But it seems like our heroine is not even concerned about the publicity of those films. The other day Telugu version audio launch of hero Surya’s “Rakshasudu” took place in Hyderabad and recently Tamil version music was also unveiled.

Heroine Nayantara is playing lead in the flick and at both audio events she is missing. That means once again she has lived up to the reputation of not attending any film’s promotional events and not even spared a big star like Surya.

Even in Bollywood arena, top starlets like Kareena, Katrina and Deepika promote each film by attending the publicity events and even reach small towns sometimes to take film into people. On a serious note, Nayan has to think about doing justice to the remuneration she is paid.

In the name of “Sri Vidya Niketan”, actor-producer Mohan Babu is running a school near Tirupathi where education meets excellence. Of course, being a teacher early in his career, our dialogue king has his own reasons to start the education academy to serve the needy.

Talented comedy hero Allari Naresh has a different reason to explain, a funny one indeed, regarding Mohan Babu’s school. “During childhood Manoj changed so many schools. Frustrated with his behaviour, Mohan Babu started his own school”, quipped Naresh, while introducing Manoj to the world at the latter’s Sangeeth ceremony that took place couple of nights back.

A 26 year old Indian-American aspiring filmmaker named B Vijay Mohan died after his bike was hit by a car in his hometown in Philadelphia on 10th May. Vijay Mohan was born in a suburban Chicago town and completed his education in India. He then graduated from the Temple University with a specialization in Film and Media Arts.

After the midnight of 10th May, Vijay was riding his bike when a car crashed him, leaving him with severe head injuries and multiple fractures. He was immediately rushed to the local hospital where he died after battling for more than a week. Vijay was a promising filmmaker who will be remembered for his student films at Temple University and his association with the Philadelphia Asian Film
Festival.

The Philadelphia Film and Television Community has expressed its grief over Vijay’s death. The “We will greatly miss his gentle, funny and creative spirit. He was truly committed to our work and demonstrated it daily through his interactions with PhillyCAM producers,” said PhilyCAM, city’s public-access television station”, said the city’s public-access television station.

Even the hardcore Rajini fans are also kicked about Rajini’s move by choosing a mafia backdrop and that too without a female lead. We will have to wait until the year end to see if Rajini will manage to create yet another Tsunami.

Nagarjuna handed over the responsibility of launching his doting son Akhil to Vinayak when he has numerous other options.

He chose him over many other directors and see how Vinayak is taking care of Akhil. The film’s shoot is currently going on Spain and Vinayak is in Hyderabad attending the audio launch of Tripura.

Few songs and action episodes are being shot in Spain for this movie and Vinayak decided to take a break. Few directors don’t be on the sets for songs as the choreographers call the shots. Vinayak is one of them. Now he is leaving the fight scenes to the fight masters and staying away from the spot.

How can a director who is known for action films stay away from the shooting while action episodes are being canned?

So Vinayak will only be on the sets for the talkie part and rest of the work will be shared by choreographers and fight masters! There are directors who supervise each and every craft and don’t relax until the film is complete. Directors like Rajamouli will own the film right from the script stage to the promotional campaigns.

Vinayak used to be very passionate about his work in early days of his career. Now he has just turned out to be ‘Action, Cut’ director who leaves everything on his technicians. Sad!
