When Peddodu Danced for Chinnodu
It’s common knowledge by now that superstar Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh share rare camaraderie, good personal rapport. The two stars said to have great bonding, not only on the screen, even off the screen. The latest buzz in tinsel ville says it all.
Actor Venkatesh greeted Mahesh and visited his house to personally congratulate Mahesh Babu on the stupendous success of Srimanthudu. This was even shared by Mahesh himself. But as we dig deeper, we got to know the interesting elements in it.
“Venky reportedly entered into Mahesh house upon grooving and gave tight hug to Mahesh. He said he was spellbound with Srimanthudu and its simplicity. He heaped praises on Mahesh for his subtle action,” said a source in the know on condition of anonymity.
This yet again proved that Venky is very down-to-earth, good human being. Doing a small jig and giving hug to Mahesh keeping egos aside is definitely laudable, welcome change. It seems, Venky doesn’t even has an iota of pride or ego despite being son of legendary producer, studio owner and being one of the four pillars of 3rd generation stars.
Venky certainly set a new precedent. Venkatesh (Peddodu) and Mahesh Babu (Chinnodu) shared screen space in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. The duo get along well on the sets of SVSC which cemented their relationship further. It’s no surprise if the duo is seen together in films to come.
Mahesh Grandma Already developed Burripalem
Burripalem is just 5 km away from Tenali, so there is no question of any under-development there, opines critics and a look at the village proves that. However, most of the high profile school, temple, function-hall and even a B.Ed college were setup by none other than Superstar Krishna and his mother Nagaratnamma in the village. In that case, Krishna family has adopted their native place long back.
Though Mahesh Babu has revealed that he will looking into various aspects along with his brother in law Galla Jayadev to adopt Burripalem, already the family has done much to the village. Krishna’s mother Nagaratnamma actively took decision on every aspect of village’s development and contributed rather heavily. She’s also involved in village-level politics also and her son Krishna used to frequent the village regularly.
Surprisingly Krishna family hasn’t been visiting the village after the demise of Nagaratnamma nearly 10 years back. While the village is not backward or lacking of any facilities and infrastructure, the villagers are expecting that bonding from the Ghattamaneni family. Wish the Srimanthudu would connect to his ‘roots’ soon as preached in his film.

Srimanthudu is only the third Telugu movie in the 70 Crore club after Attarintiki Daredi and Baahubali. The movie will most probably cross Attarintiki Daredi and stands in the number two position by the end of the third weekend.
Telugu market seem to have grown big after Baahubali success. Midnight shows and hiked rates in some areas had improved the market to some extent. We will have to see if Kick-2 stops Srimanthudu’s run the next weekend.
Court Orders Baahubali To Cut Scenes
That’s nearly 40 days after Baahubali release. The film stormed into 500 crores club in no time and became the highest grosser in India from Indian box office. And now, a Court has ordered to chop scenes from Baahubali movie, failing which an action would be taken against the theatre management across Tamilnadu state.
Last month, a petrol bomb was hurled at a theatre in Tamilnadu by members belonging to a local outfit called “Puratchi Puligal” is a known thing. The group is angry over the way a Dalit community, Arundhadiyar, has been portrayed in the film.
Though writer Madhan Karky apologised for the misunderstood dialogues of the movie, the issue was sought to Court and Madurai bench of Madras HC has now ordered district collectors to look into the chopping of scenes. Already Censor Board is heard imposing a cut on those scenes and Court asked officials to check if the cuts are implemented or not. Otherwise, theatre owners will be fined and then scenes will be chopped.
Directed by Rajamouli, Baahubali features an ensemble star cast including Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Ramya Krishna, Tamanna, Satyaraj and Nasser who have delivered a stellar performance. Baahubai 2 is likely to release in 2016.
