These days, the most obvious destination for a comeback actress is either television or playing character roles on big screen. After a sabbatical of 15 years, Jeevitha Rajasekhar is returning to glamour world and donning the grease paint again.

This time it’s for television not for big screen. The veteran actress would be seen anchoring a show on popular channel Zee TV. One wouldn’t expect her to do a regular daily soap. We would like to see her in something meaningful, don’t we? True to our expectations, the senior actress is going to anchor a show which is related to a social cause.

She says she is also open to roles on big screens, but only those that excite her. Baahubali-1 is gearing up for release on July 10th in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages. The second part of the movie will see light in the second half of 2016. Prabhas is unlikely to get married at least before then.

Our readers are aware that SS Rajamouli is making Baahubali in two parts and the first part, Baahubali – the Beginning is releasing on 10th of this month. The second part of the movie is also canned along with the first half.

In fact, 40% of the second part shooting is complete. The remaining shooting will begin from September 15th and the movie probably will see the light in the second half of 2016. If the first part becomes a blockbuster, we can not imagine the expectations and hype on the second part.

One of Telugu cinema’s most respected directors of all time, K Viswanath made several interesting and straightforward comments on the sad state of the directors of today’s generation. Speaking at a cultural event last night, the legendary director said that today’s directors are facing numerous hardships from all corners of the film industry.

In a lighter vein, the director said, ‘Draupadi had only five husbands. But the present-day directors have 100 husbands’. The director also said that directors need to be given more creative freedom. ‘I will not change. I will work the way I have been used to,’ said the legendary master when asked about his approach to filmmaking if he wields the megaphone soon again.

K Viswanath also said that he is game to direct NTR if the right proposal comes to him and that he wants to make a Sagara Sangamam kind of film with NTR. Saying that there are no mathematical formale to make a hit film, Viswanath said that all the actors he had worked in the past were brilliant enough to act differently, giving the films a successful result at the box-office.

This is bold statement. The tallest ever any director has said. Probably in the era where star-actors are ruling the roost, directors will feel little shy and scared to deliver certain statements. But ace director Rajamouli emphasises the need for story in any films and makes a daring claim.

“The USP of stars is bringing crowds to audiences. But what makes the audiences sit in theatres and watch the film? It’s the content. Both actors and visual effects are the same kind of stars for Baahubali, but what will stun movie lovers in theatres is the content“, says Rajamouli, citing his movie as an example to explain the need for ‘content’ and ‘stars’ at the same time. “Stars can bring people, but can’t run show. My way of storytelling is clicking with audiences, as I dramatize a lot. But I agree,’m not that great filmmaker“, he adds.

As Rajamouli says this, he points out once again that the story of a movie should be based on human emotions and that will have universal connect. Well, rather taking these comments with egos, maybe fans should understand the real meaning Rajamouli is trying to say.

Hero Daggubati Venkatesh gave an enlightening speech to audiences as he spoke at the TANA convention the other day. Like always, he has come unprepared to deliver a speech, and laid focus on the importance of self discovery. As he spoke about the need for spiritual sciences, NRI Telugu crowds gave him a tremendous applause.

“Don’t compare yourself with others. There is nothing to bother about things on the outside. Everything is inside. Try to discover the God within yourself. Learn righteous path and adhere to honesty and positivity”, said Venkatesh. Before he kick-started his speech, he confirmed to the listeners that his guru K Raghavendra Rao has taught him acting but didn’t trained him in giving speeches on dais. “I’ve found that many people here in USA are so successful yet to discover the happiness in their lives. You’ve to go for our great spiritual sciences like yoga to find our humans could turn into Gods”, he added.

“We all came from same source, so let’s have same godly qualities. If only we think god and humans are same, then our problems get solved. Kill ego and find God within inside you”, concluded Venaktesh, asking everyone to not complicate lives and lead is simply. “Live in the present moment. Don’t panic about past and future. Grab the mysterious energy from universe”, says Venky, signing off.

The hype and craze around the film is phenomenal and the film, due to its release in record number of theaters in the Telugu states, ROI and in the US, is expected to shatter all the existing box-office records. The first ever benefit show will be held in a Hyderabad based theater and the tickets are being sold at unbelievable prices.
