Share

bus

Here’s the brand new state of the art Mercedes Benz bulletproof vanity bus that’s worth 5 crore and custom designed for the Telangana Chief Minister KCR. The bus has been made in Chandigarh and it was brought to Hyderabad yesterday. Special prayers were offered to the bus today morning.

KCR will tour across the state in the bus during his ambitious Haritha Haram program. The bus features high end technology and can sustain any kind of terror attack. The vanity bus also boasts of 12 chairs for official meetings, Wi-Fi internet and a staircase to the rooftop, from where KCR can interact with the people.

However, contrary to the allegations of several opposition leaders, the bus does not feature a bedroom as KCR himself was against such luxuries in the bus and strictly wanted it to be used only for official purposes in which he can greet and move along with the people.

It took 36 takes for actor-composer G.V. Prakash Kumar and co-star Manisha Yadav to film a lip-lock scene from the upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy “Trisha Illana Nayanthara”.

“Prakash was initially hesitant about the lip-lock scene. He wasn’t comfortable with the idea. However, Manisha didn’t have any qualms about it and instantly gave her a nod when she was narrated the scene. It took Prakash some motivation, but he eventually gave in,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

It took 36 takes because the scene was shot from different angles.

“The director wanted to capture the scene from the most appropriate angle in order to not make it look dirty. Hence, it took so many takes to lock the shot,” the source said.

Directed by debutant Adhik Ravichandran, the film features Anandhi as one of the leading ladies, while veteran actor Simran Bagga has essayed a cameo.

Prakash’s other films as actor includes “Ketta Payada Indha Karthi” and “Basha Engira Anthony”. He has also signed a yet-untitled film with “Darling” director Sam Anton, and this project will be produced by Studio Green.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR took serious on release of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy on bail. KCR and TRS leaders got irritated on the way of speech that Revanth did after release from the prison.

Revanth lashed out KCR and TDP leaders who joined in TRS in his speech. TDP cadre attended in huge in the rally without any invitation from the party. TG lawyers were decided to go to Supreme Court on cancellation of Revanth’s bail.

KCR called TG ACB Chief AK Khan yesterday in the morning and discussed on moving the issue to Supreme Court. This will come to hearing in Apex Court today. All these developments are happened quickly within few hours. Telangana Police filed three more cases against Revanth after taking his speech as evidence.

TG lawyers did their arguments that Revanth threatened Chief Minister in his speech as evidence. It’s not difficult to destroy the evidences during the bail period.

TRS has field very senior advocates in Supreme Court to nullify Revanth’s bail. Telangana Government selected Kapil Sibal, Dushyant Dawe and Haren Ravel from its end. As per the sources, Kapil Sibal took minimum 50 lacs per day to take any case.

Is it necessary for Telangana Chief Minister to spent huge public money to take revenge on his political enemies? Of Course! Telangana is rich state. What happened if SC really cancels Revanth’s bail? It is nothing but helps to increase Revanth’s image in the state.

KCR government and Telangana ACB was dealt with a severe blow in the Supreme Court. The apex court had dismissed the Special Leave Petition filed by Telangana ACB to cancel the bail of Revanth Reddy and the other accused in the case. Telangana government had roped in senior most and costliest lawyers — Kapil Sibal, Harish Salve and Dushyanth Dave to take up Revanth’s case.

Telangana ACB also pressed Chief Justice bench to take up the petition as they fear Andhra judges in SC. Kapil Sibal explained the court that the bail given by the Hyderabad high court is totally flawed and also Revanth Reddy violated the bail conditions as soon as he is released. He said that court he is in a postion to alter the evidences and blackmail the witnesses.

However Supreme Court did not agree with their arguments and opined that there is no need to cancel the bail as Revanth Reddy and other accused were jailed for 30 days and 4 days in the ACB custody. Also they have given their statements and the FSL Report is also ready. So Supreme struck down the ACB’s petition. This is a huge blow for ACB and now all the doors are closed now the highest court of the country rejecting the petition.

Wisest move of Naga Chaitanya career so far

Naga Chaitanya had entered in to film industry in 2009 with Josh movie. His debut happened amid huge fan fare as he is the heir of Nagarjuna. However the movie bombed miserably at the box office. Naga Chaitanya’s career is always patchy except for a handful of commercial hits here and there. But he never got the stardom required.

Akkineni family’s poor planning is also the reason for Chaitanya’s poor form. They never really tried him with a star director and so he never crossed the line. This is the biggest complaint by Akkineni fans too. They are worried if Chaitanya will be totally out, if Akhil clicks with his debut movie. Finally Nagarjuna seem to have understood their problem.

It is told that he had roped in the most successful director of recent times, Trivikram Srinivas to direct Naga Chaitanya. Trivikram had recently created a new record by delivering three continuous 40 Crore share films — Julayi, Attarintiki Daredi and S/O Satyamurthy, in which one of them is an industry hit.

Trivikram is preparing a suitable script for Chaitanya. He is likely to opt for a low budget film and is planning to wrap it up in 45 working days. More details of this project are awaited. Akkineni fans will be longing to hear the project announcement.

Basthi Movie Review – 2/5

Story :

Ammiraju (Mukesh Rishi) kidnaps Sravanthi (Pragathi), sister of a deadly goon Bhavani (Abhimanyu Singh). Ammiraju’s brother Vijay (Shreyan) returns from US and comes to know about the kidnap. He realizes that his brother has kidnapped Sravanthi for a strong reason. Vijay and Sravanthi becomes friends after a while and later they fall in love. Bhavani doesn’t agree to accept his foe’s brother as his brother-in-law.

Performances:

Shreyan is tall and handsome. He is okay in the romantic scenes but needs to work on his expressions. There is a deliberate attempt from the director to keep Shreyan away from action and dances. This film doesn’t give clear idea about the strengths and weaknesses of the young lad.

Pragathi has good looks and is a decent performer. Abhimanyu Singh is routine as the bad guy. Kota Srinivasa Rao’s experience adds value to the film. Satya is alright with his comedy. Saptagriri and Ali did cameo appearances. Mukesh Rishi is fine.

Technicalities:

Director Vasu Mantena should have worked on a good script. There is absolutely nothing that is worthy enough to be made into a feature film. Director tried to input action, comedy, love and sentiment into this film, but has failed miserably in getting the emotions right. A very poor job from the director and he should blame himself for this lame product.

There are five songs in the film and none of them are impressive. Background score doesn’t lift the film. Cinematography is alright and editor should be commended for putting things in a sequence despite the mediocrity and amateurish handling of scenes. Dialogues are pretty bad.

Thumbs Up:

Nothing

Thumbs Down:

Everything

Analysis:

Wonder why did Jayasudha chose this film as the debut vehicle for her son. This film neither has promising technicians nor a strong script to bank upon. Shreyan’s debut is simply wasted on a pointless film that bores you to the core. Only bright point about the film is the cute looking lead pair.

Basthi seems amateurish right from the word go and sadly it keeps going down as the story moves forward. The love story is handled poorly and one cannot expect the audience to root for them. None of the emotions worked and even the killings of some important characters doesn’t effect in anyway. There is scope for this film to be made into a romantic thriller, but the director stayed away from outdoors.

It is tiresome to sit through this film despite keeping the running time under two hours. Climax is pathetic with the dialog writer throwing in the worst possible cheesy lines towards the end. Basthi is a poorly made film that doesn’t deserve to be watched. It is unfortunate of Jayasudha’s son to choose such a bad film for making debut.

Verdict: This Basthi is not worth visiting at all.

chy

Naga Chaitanya had made his debut several years ago and despite being a star son, never really established himself and is still struggling. However it is said that Naga Chaitanya’s career is all set to get the much needed thrust.

Reports are emerging that Naga Chaitanya will be acting in a film to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas who recently delivered three 40 Crore plus films on a trot, a never before feat by any Telugu director and one of those films is an industry hit.

Trivikram did not announce any project after Son of Satyamurthy. It is said that he is working on the script and will be completing the movie in 45 days and in limited budget.

Naga Chaitanya is currently shooting for Gautam Menon’s bilingual film. If this news turns to be true, Akkineni fans can rejoice for sure!

Here Is The Proof For KCR’s Good Habit

Share

kcr

It’s common knowledge by now that Telangana Chief Minister KCR has great affinity towards planting trees and thus increasing greenery. He, in fact, owns a farm house where he cultivates lot of species of vegetables in his farm.

His government’s initiative of Haritha Haram is garnering good response from all corners. Thanks to his love for farming, nature. But what not many know is that this affinity for plantation dates back to his childhood.

Apparently KCR has his special habit since he was in high school. KCR had studied seventh, eight and ninth standards in Dubbaka government school in Medak district from 1964 to 1967.

During this time, he said to have planted various plants during then. As per reports, he planted several plants and even asked his friends to plant few. Now the Neam plants he then planted rose to big trees and standing out.

KCR’s classmates and school staff are now recalling KCR’s acts when he was in the school. And they’re expressing their confidence that he’d easily make his Haritha Haram a big success.

Superstar Kidnap Review – 2.5/5

Share

Story:

Jai (Aadarsh Balakrishna) is a rich kid and a spoiled brat who always enjoys with booze and girls which resulted in huge debts. Bhupal (Bhupal) is an aspirant director who banks on Jai to meet Superstar Mahesh Babu to narrate him a story and then there is Nandoo (Nandoo) who is disturbed by her girl friend Priya (Poonam Kaur) dumping him for Jai.

Nandoo waits for a right time to take revenge on Jai for trapping his girl friend. However situations force them to work together to kidnap none other than Superstar Maheh Babu. Obviously the plan leads them in to lot of trouble.

Performances:

Aadarsh, Bhupal and Nandoo have come up good performances and are a good fit for their roles. Vennela Kishore excelled and carried the entire second half on his shoulders. Poonam Kaur in an important role and Shradda das as Lady Gabbar Singh had taken care of the glamour quotient. Posani and Fish Venkat are good but are not utilized by the director. Rest of the cast are okay.

Technical Performances:

Director Sushanth Reddy had come up with a refreshing subject for his debut movie. However he faltered in executing it with perfection. The lead characters lack depth and are not utilized properly. The first half of the film is racy with a decent interval bang. However the director got derailed in the second half. However some engaging performances by Vennela Kishore, Posani, Fish Venkat and Shraddha Das saved the second half to some extent.

Sai Karthik had come up with cheeky songs suiting the genre. Most songs are situational. However he should have put more effort in the back ground score which is not at all effective. Cinematography is good. The animation used in the second half is refreshing but it is too long to enjoy. Editing is good while production values are adequate.

Plus Points:

  • Refreshing storyline
  • Subtle comedy
  • Good first half

Minus Points:

Derailed second half

Final Say:

Superstar Kidnap is honest and refreshing effort but let down by the narration. However the film is still a one time watch for its good comedy. But remember go with absolutely Zero competition.
