Actor asks CM to make him a cop. Babu refuses
We already reported that senior actor Sai Kumar has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the Vijayawada City Police’s ‘4th Lion’ mobile app. The app was launched today by the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada. Speaking on the occasion, Sai Kumar expressed his happiness over being made the brand ambassador and vowed to strive for a wide reach of the app.
The actor, who is known for his powerful police officer roles and explosive dialogue delivery, expressed his respect for policemen revealed that he wants to become a cop and wear the uniform in real life. Not stopping here, Sai Kumar requested the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to make him an honorary police officer so that he can work towards increasing a healthy police-citizens rapport.
Reacting on Sai Kumar’s peculiar desire in his usual funny manner, Chandrababu said that one needs a degree to become a policeman and that those fake policemen who wear the uniform without proper eligibility will be jailed by the real police. To this, Sai Kumar and all the attendees broke into a loud laughter. Well, after enacting so many powerful police officers roles on screen, it isn’t a surprise that Sai Kumar wished to become one for real, isn’t it?
When Rajamouli’s Wife Warned Him
Whenever Rajamouli immerses himself into making films, he thinks of nothing else but making them to the best of his abilities. He has been following the same principle since the beginning of his career and always challenges himself to make one big film after the other, as he thinks nothing less than making an epic each time. In the process, Rajamouli faces several testing times and his wife and stylist in his films, Rama Rajamouli, comes in as his support system.
Yesterday, Rajamouli and Rama met the media and revealed several unheard snippets of their professional and personal lives. Speaking about the making of Baahubali, Rama said that she had warned Rajamouli before he commenced the film and asked him why he dreams such a costly and risky dream of making a huge epic like Baahubali.
Rama Rajamouli said that she was apprehensive that the film’s budget will overshoot during the making and that Rajamouli was undeterred and was so committed towards making this film, that he didn’t show an ounce of nervousness and thoroughly enjoyed every day of making the film for the past three years. Talk about conviction, folks!
Jayasudha to face suspension
It’s an undeniable fact that Jayasudha isn’t a true politician and never put in any efforts to become one in the past six-and-a-half years. After entering politics with an open offer from former CM late YSR, She represented Secunderabad Constituency as an MLA but couldn’t retain the post in the next election due to various reasons. If the sources are to be believed, She is now on verge of getting suspended from Congress party.
Telangana PCC called for a meeting at the residence of Senior Leader Jana Reddy to take action against party’s Secunderabad in-charge Jayasudha. Since few months, Jayasudha has been giving a miss to party activities and fallout with few party seniors have only widened the gap.
In addition, T-Congress is reportedly miffed with reports of Jayasudha planning to join TRS. The actress personally inviting KCR for ‘Basthi’ music launch and the TRS supremo showering praises on the debutante (Jayasudha’s Son Shreayan) has only added fuel to fire. As if she wasn’t bothered about being suspended from Congress, Jayasudha took to Twitter a short while ago to thank KCR for his kind words and blessing her son at Sunday’s event.
The ploy of KCR is to use Jayasudha as a trump-card in the upcoming GHMC polls for pocketing Women and Christian Minority vote bank apart from trying to influence the voters with Cine Glamour.
Nani’s Next: Fresh Romantic Entertainer
After a lot of dilly dallying, finally, actor Nani’s new movie to be directed by Hanu Raghavpudi was formally launched. The film’s muhurat was held on Monday and the yet-to-be titled film is being produced by 14 Reels Entertainment. Initially, Rana was supposed to team up with Hanu for this project, but since he’s stuck with two big films – Rudhramadevi and Baahubali, he opted out of the project. With this, Hanu roped in Nani for this fresh romantic entertainer.
Hanu Raghavapudi made a decent debut in 2012 with romantic drama Andala Rakshasi. The movie was critically acclaimed and it fared decently at the ticket windows. Starring newcomers then, it turned out to be a good film and the film’s music became instant hit. Now that Hanu joined his forces with Nani, expectations are high. In addition big production house like 14 Reels Entertainment joining the team, it boosted the film’s prospects in trade circles.

Mahesh Babu Inspired by Veers
Superstar Mahesh Babu managed to meet few physically challenged people who proved their mettle in their respective fields and stood out as champions notwithstanding their disabilities. Known as “Veers”, Mahesh met them and spend quality time with them as part of an interaction arranged by a soft drink firm.
” Five Veer’s who have excelled in their fields in spite of their disabilities inspired the film star and the interaction was an emotional and enlightening experience for both the Veer’s and for Mahesh Babu,” said a leading soft drink in a statement.
Speaking at the event, Mahesh said, “The Veer’s displayed a true spirit and have done exceptionally well for themselves in their respective areas of interest. This initiative is a great opportunity for people with disabilities to move forward and strive towards realizing their full potential.

Campaign Veer aims to address challenges such as inclusive education and employment, skill training and development, and advocating for disabled-friendly technology. The campaign is working at imparting vocational training to these individuals and ascertains their requirements so that they can be made job-ready.
ABCD 2 Is The Highest Opener Of 2015
Remo D’Souza’s dance drama Any Body Can Dance 2 (ABCD 2) has exploded off the starting block to record this year’s highest opening weekend collections.
Critics were mostly left cold by the dance film but cine-goers flocked to buy tickets and business has currently been totaled up at over Rs 45 crores, almost halfway to the magic number of 100 crores and higher than the takings of Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Piku in their first weekends.
ABCD 2 is the sequel to 2013 film ABCD: Anybody Can dance, which had some small time dancers and Prabhudheva in pivotal roles. This time, D’Souza put his money on the rising star-quotient of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, and the results are amazing.
Though the film opened to mixed reviews, the audience seems to have showered it with a lot of love and praise. The story of the film revolves around a bunch of Nalasopara dancers who aspire to win the World Hip Hop Dance Competition.
Meanwhile, the Mohit Suri-directed Hamari Adhuri Kahani, starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi, has found little love from audiences with the film earning a dismal Rs 30 crores in two weeks.
Tollywood Hero Wants Only Tamanna!
Right now, Naga Chaitanya is busy with Gautam Menon’s film and the film’s shooting is progressing steadily. Once he finishes that, he will get started with Chandoo Mondeti’s film which is being produced by Harika Hassine banner.
But the big question is about who the heroine was. At the time of Oka Laila Kosam, he chose Pooja Hegde. So there was speculation about who Chaitu would choose this time around.
He decided to opt for Tamanna who has two hits in her kitty. In fact, Tamanna had acted in 100% Love and Tadakha opposite him and both the films were hits.
Though Tamanna was not lucky for other big heroes, her pairing with Chaitu has been a hit always. So, Chaitu hopes to pair up with Tamanna once again.
Kalyan Keeps Charmee Away From Puri!
Producer C Kalyan produced ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ with Charmee recently on CK Entertainments banner. Charmee was the presenter of the movie.
During the promotional activities, C Kalyan happily told the media that CK Entertainments means Charmee and Kalyan entertainments. He further said in future he would be producing films on this banner only in association with Charmee.
After the release of the film the scene has changed. C Kalyan has announced a new film ‘Loafer’ with Varun Teja as hero in the direction of Puri Jagannadh in another banner ‘Sree Subha Swetha Films’. In the credit names announced at the press release, Charmee’s name was nowhere to be seen.
There have been rumors that after the release of ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’, Charmee was asked to leave the Cave, Puri Jagannadh’s office. Clearly, C Kalyan is continuing his association with Puri Jagannadh but not with the Charmee.
Disappointed KCR doesn’t do Yoga for Modi?
Yoga is a wonderful science which is considered as a great solution to several physical and mental problems and for overall health. Marking international Yoga Day on Sunday, millions all over the world, especially in India performed Yoga which was a much welcome initiative.
As expected, Modi was the charmer who performed Yogasanas along with thousands of people at Rajpath in Delhi. This was also a moment for Modi’s men to sow their loyalty as well as to allies like Chandrababu who was all praises for Modi and compared him to Swami Vivekananda.
Naturally Babu was busy doing all asanas at Vijayawada in AP while Modi; friend-in-waiting KCR simply ignored these calls and went about his business. Sources say that had Centre given full support in Operation Revanth and booking cases against Naidu, KCR would have done asana in public.
But apparently peeved at lack of response from BJP leadership over TRS joining NDA and other expected natural benefits, KCR reportedly skipped this ‘impress Modi’ event and this was visible across all sections of TRS government. Even Kavitha would have done Yoga but now the threat of section 8 from Centre also hurt their egos.
Telecom Operators take KCR’s side in Phone Tapping!
Andhra Pradesh Police had instructed Telecom Operators to attend the investigation at Bhavanipuram Police Station, Vijayawada today to clarify about the Phone tapping issues. However reports are emerging that the Telecom Operators are not at all cooperative to AP Police in this issue. Not even half of the operators came there and those who attended refused to give majority of the information citing confidentality.
It is said that Telangana government had arranged a meeting well in advance with the Telecom Operators and clarified that it will not spare giving any sensitive information. The Operators were assured of all possible help in case some thing goes wrong legally. Also it is said that the Telecom Operators had floated rules in accepting some of the ‘previous’ requests of the Telangana government.
And now they realize cornering Telangana government in this case, will also put them in trouble. Some of the operators have helped Telangana government in the cash for vote scam with out any written instructions and that put them in a spot of bother now. However this non-cooperation will not be taken lightly by Chandrababu Naidu.
Ram’s Shivam gears up for September Release!
Energetic Hero Ram’s upcoming offering, Shivam shooting is going on at brisk pace. The movie unit so far had completed 70% of the talkie part and the climax. They just finished a major schedule in Ooty and plans are on to release the movie in September.
Touted to be an out and out mass action entertainer, the movie is directed by a debutante Srinivas Reddy. The project was supposed to be for Nithin. But it was put off after the movie was launched due to some creative differences.
Ram’s uncle, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, is producing the film under his Sravanthi Movies banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Raashi Khanna has been paired up with Ram. Besides Shivam, Ram also has another film Hari Katha in production.
