Much before releasing any teaser or trailer, Rajamouli spoke at large at the press-meet held to inform about the cancellation of audio and revealed that his sole aim is to make fans meet Prabhas as they are waiting for him from a long time of 2 years. For that reason, many wondered in what way he would be releasing the trailer without making Prabhas meet his fans.

Surprising the idea of releasing the trailer in theatres has popped up and that became a stupendous show of strength by fans. But by the evening when the Hindi version trailer of “Baahubali: The Beginning” is released, some fans got upset. Because for Mumbai press-meet, the whole of film’s star-cast including Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamanna have attended, while there is nothing such for Tollywood.

“We’ve achieved enough hype for the flick already and there is no need for us to promote the movie by hosting a gigantic audio function”, said Rajamouli that day, adding that he’s holding function only for fans. Looks like Rajamouli is living every word he spoke and we wonder why such a trailer-release press meet is not held here in Hyderabad. Where is Prabhas for Telugu fans?

Any actress who gets close to talented actor Jagapathi Babu used to get labelled as his girl friend. In a recent TV interview, Jagapathi confirmed that sharing a hug with a heroine doesn’t mean he is in an affair with her, but it’s just his form of expressing a hello.

The other day when Jagapathi Babu attended a wedding in Tollywood, heroine Priyamani was all smiles to catch up with him after a long time. This couple acted in couple of hit movies like Pellaina Kothalo and others. Both spent a good time at the wedding over the food and sharing few jokes. When Jagapathi entered the venue, Priyamani went all the way to hug him and say a hello.

Looking at the way they hugged each other we could easily find the warmth and affection in their friendship. Sad thing is that earlier it was publicised that Priyamani is in a relation with Jagapathi, but all that is just a piece of scrap like rumour.

Baahubali Trailer: 15,56,723 And Counting

This is nothing sort of a craze that has caught the whole of India at the moment. Within just 24 hours of its release on popular video sharing website YouTube, this trailer lodged at official channels of Baahubali movie started pulling immense hits.

As we’re talking about the craze around Baahubali trailer, the views clicked at the moment so far are 14 lakhs 39 thousand and 504, and still they are counting. That’s a record of sorts because a trailer of Telugu language crossing 14 lakhs in 24 hours time is never seen earlier.

For big stars like Pawan and Mahesh it takes nearly 2-3 days to amass around 10 lakh hits for trailer, while their teasers have come near 10 lakh mark in a day. In that case, we have to say that Baahubali is the biggest ever movie that garnered biggest applause with just a single trailer.

Craze of Baahubali is not just limited to Telugu version. Karan Johar is presenting the hindi version of the film and it amassed nearly 9,23,617 views in 24 hours, while Tamil version accounted to 2,52,331 views.

So from all platforms, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ trailer has clocked 2.7 million hits on YouTube which is more than Hrithik’s Krish 3 that made 2 million hits in 1 day, whilst SRK’s Happy New Year tops as it pulled 4 million hits from all channels in 24 hours.

Baahubali: A Creation Bigger Than Cinema

What more any cine lover needs, when they are watching something that is larger than life, bigger than any other cinematic experience they have ever seen. Let’s not talk about YouTube hits for the now, because they will anyway engulf “Baahubali” trailer. What’s to be understood is the magnificent size that will be shown on the screen.

Visual delight offered by Rajamouli starts the moment his trailer opens to a 3D visualised kingdom of Mahismathi from a bird’s eye view. “Baahubali”, the most expensive flick ever, say 150 crore budget for the two parts, surely boasts a lot of larger than life imagery. After watching such richness in movies like Lord Of The Rings and others, every Indian cinema lover feels proud for this local product.

That lush green misty world, mighty waterfalls, ancient architecture and weapons push our senses back to some 13th century. Though there are heavy references of the movie “300” and “Troy” in battle scenes, we need to appreciate the handwork that went into indianising then. The actors, their muscles, the heroines, their glamour and what not, everything looks bigger than any normal cinema.

In fact, Hollywood’s productions like 300 costed nearly 400 crores way back in 2006 itself. If adjusted for inflation, that costs 620+ crores now. But Bahubali is 1/5 of that budget and still giving a bigger cinematic feel. With recoveries proving tough in general, language barrier major hurdle to release the flick across India, Bahubali made an exuberant effort to take the film to all the corners of the country and that should be appreciated.

Star Writer Moving Out Of Comfort Zone?

After the recent release of his comedy entertainer, Pandaga Chesko, Kona Venkat, the star writer of Tollywood, faced intense heat from critics and also film buffs who are thoroughly bored with his trademark confusing comedy plots and lack of innovative zing in his screenplays. The dissent was evident in the film reviews and on social media.

However, Kona fought back saying that he supplies what the audiences demand for and true to his defense, the film’s collections are steady even on weekdays. The star writer has now moved on to his next project, Nikhil starter Sankarabharanam, which he claims to be a crime comedy. Incidentally, Kona is also producing this film.

This is the writer’s first major stint in this new genre and it clearly explains his deviation from his safe zone of logic less comedies. This is definitely a welcoming move by the star writer, since this will encourage other popular and aspiring writers to follow suit. Apparently, Sankarabharanam will showcase real incidents of crime with a Bihar backdrop.
