The biggest discussion going on in trade circles at the moment is about Baahubali and the film that follows it to box office. If “Baahubali” is fixed for July 10th release, as confirmed in Bollywood circles, will Mahesh dare to release his “Srimanthudu” on July 17th, just a week after this magnum opus hits screens?

Already both Baahubali and Srimanthudu got delayed by miles as they are originally scheduled to enthral audiences in summer. Finally Mahesh Babu declared July 17th as the festival day for Srimanthudu. However Rajamouli hasn’t confirmed Baahubali release date but the unofficial date is July 10th as Bollywood is already making arrangements for that. One wonders what makes Baahubali and Srimanthudu clash with each other in just 1 week time. The only reason that one should back off is to not eat each other’s revenues.

Generally Telugu biggies are maintaining a week or couple to avoid unnecessary eating of other’s revenues. But for the kind of massiveness involved around Baahubali it is needless to say that family audiences will rush to theatres to  catch a glimpse of that visual marvel. Irrespective of the talk, maybe a mere two weeks should be left from Baahubali release date for biggies such that their revenues don’t get affected by Baahubali, say trade pundits.

Amidst these speculations, will Mahesh continues with his plan of hitting on July 17th? Reports have that Srimanthudu will be pushed by 3-4 weeks if Baahubali arrives on time, on July 10th, but in case of a miss, Mahesh will not look back for a new date. Otherwise this July 10th vs July 17th date war is impossible.

According to bollywood sources Mahesh Babu’s Nenokkadine heroine Kriti Sanon is in a relationship with model Gaurav Arora.

The actress was a model before stepping into Bollywood and is said to have met Gaurav during her initial catwalking days.

Says a source from the fashion industry, “Everyone knows about Gaurav and Kriti being a couple. Since Kriti has made it big in Bollywood now, their relationship is being spoken about only in whispers.”

Kriti, however, denies the buzz, saying: “I am not dating anyone right now. I am very much single. I have very few friends in Mumbai and Gaurav is one of them. I have known him since my modelling days, but there nothing more than that.”

She is a Telugu woman who had a good stint in the film industry not only down South but also in Bollywood. She also made her mark in politics having been elected as a people’s representative.

Hot beauty Tamanna Bhatia has taken time to take part in a special chat to enthral fans before the trailer of “Baahubali” is released officially into media. When quizzed about the first person she want Bahubali movie to be seen, her answer is stunning. Here it goes.

As she is asked the question, whom do you want to show Bahubali first, hero Prabhas stated that he wants to show it to Superstar Rajnikanth. Even his co-stars Rana and Anushka opined the same. But milky siren Tamanna has a different answer. She says candidly “First I want to see Bahubali myself and then I’ll show it to anyone. I’ve not seen the movie yet”. That explains how secretive Rajamouli is when it comes to making his movies.

Other than the lead roles, Prabhas and Rana, we hear that no other character knows the detailed story of the film. Though everyone has a script outline with them, totally-carved out script is something only a few persons know. Along with milky siren, millions of Telugu audiences are also waiting to watch the flick.

Tamil actor Sathyaraj, who has worked in Telugu films “Mirchi” and “Sankham”, has been roped in to play superstar Mahesh Babu’s father in upcoming family drama “Brahmotsavam”.

“Sathyaraj will be playing Mahesh’s father. Since the makers are promoting the film as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, they felt Sathyaraj’s presence in a major role will appeal to Tamil audiences,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

To be directed by Srikanth Addala, the film will go on floors from June. It features Rakul Preet Singh and Praneetha Subhash in lead roles.

Said to be a clean family entertainer, “Brahmotsavam” is scheduled for release next year during Sankranti festival.

PVP Cinema is producing the film, which has music by Mickey J. Meyer.

Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli says he sought inspiration for his forthcoming mega project “Baahubali: The Beginning” from the epic “Mahabharata”.

“‘Baahubali’ is inspired by ‘Mahabharata’, and the upcoming second part is also inspired by ‘Mahabharata’,” Rajamouli said here during the trailer launch of the movie.

“All my movies are inspired by ‘Mahabharata’ and ‘Ramayana’ because those are two epics that have been fed to me right from my childhood. I get my emotional connect from those epics,” he added.

Rajamouli was present here with Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, and the film’s cast, including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Karan is presenting “Baahubali”, which is said to have been made on a magnificent scale and has a pan-India appeal.

His Dharma Productions has bought the theatrical rights of the Hindi version of the film. It will release on July 10.
