A court here on Friday granted bail to former union minister of state for coal Dasari Narayan Rao, former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda and eight others in a case relating to the allocation of coal blocks.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge Bharat Parashar granted bail to the accused and asked them to each furnish a personal bond of Rs.1 lakh and surety of the like amount.

The court directed them not to leave the country without prior permission.

Among others who got bail are industrialist Naveen Jindal and former coal secretary H.C. Gupta.

The CBI on April 29 filed a chargesheet against Jindal, Koda, Rao, Gupta and six others – Gyan Swaroop Garg, Suresh Singhal, Rajeev Jain, Girish Kumar Juneja, R.K. Saraf and K. Ramakrishna.

Five private companies – four based in Delhi and one in Hyderabad – have also been named in the chargesheet.

The companies are Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, Gagan Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd, Jindal Reality Pvt Ltd, New Delhi Exim Pvt Ltd and Sowbhagya Media Ltd.

The CBI has formally charged them with criminal conspiracy, cheating and various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The case relates to the allocation of Jharkhand’s Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block to Jindal Steel and Gagan Sponge.

The agency said the Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block allocation was recommended by the 35th screening committee.

“It was alleged that two steel and iron companies based in Delhi misrepresented facts to get coal blocks. Also, there was alleged investment in a Hyderabad-based firm from the group of companies based at Delhi,” said a CBI official.

Rao was the union minister of state for coal between 2006 and 2009 when the irregularities allegedly took place.

According to the official, searches were conducted on June 11, 2013 at 19 locations in Delhi and Hyderabad in connection with the case.

Pawan Kalyan, Enjoying Power Minus Responsibility?

Share

pawan1

There was a usual refrain of the UPA government by prominent people in India and media. They used to say that while Sonia Gandhi enjoyed power without responsibility, Manmohan Singh had to share responsibility without having real power. Some of Pawan Kalyan’s critics say, he now matches Sonia.

His much hyped entry into politics apart; there has never been an organizational build up of Jana Sena so far. Pawan communicates through Twitter and in the last one year, he was only seen once in the ground level, at the proposed capital region of AP. He assured farmers that he would stand by them.

But rather than taking part in any agitations including the growing movement demanding special status, Pawan has already started bargaining for important positions for his followers. Dr. Hari Prasad, from Tirupathi was Pawan’s man who was included in TTD board by Chandrababu.

Now it is the turn of Somu Veeraju, who has been accommodated as MLC from BJP due to TDP alliance. He was also chosen based on his closeness with Pawan Kalyan as he was instrumental in Jana Sena- BJP tie up. Now, even before his entry into politics completely, Pawan is being blamed for starting bargaining game and his critics feel this is enough to show what is his future agenda!

KCR receives SSC shock

Telangana CM KCR according to sources is shocked with the results of SSC in the newly formed state. Huge drop in the pass percentage in the state’s first SSC exams came as a rude shock to KCR.

It is coming out that he was upset with the flawed policies followed by Secondary Education department and SSC board. The two boards hastened to introduce reforms in examinations coining the word “continuous and comprehensive evaluation “(CCE) without taking either parents, students or teachers into confidence.

Pressure is mounting on Telangana Govt after AP SSC results showed 11% higher pass percentage to add more marks for Telangana students in Maths and Physics. Ironically many students failed in these two subjects and many are demanding addition of 10 grace marks to all students.

Many parents and other organisations started protesting against the state government and even KCR’s swachch Hyderabad faced severe protests from parents. Kadiyam Srihari, deputy CM and who holds education portfolio went on record that there will not be any addition of grace marks.

Will Prabhas Leave Alia To Junior?

Share

praba2

Many heroes in Tollywood want to be paired opposite Alia Bhatt who has national fame and a huge fan following among the youth. Even Alia once expressed her willingness to act opposite Junior NTR.

Now young director Sujeeth who made a successful debut with ‘Run Raja Run’ will be directing Prabhas after ‘Baahubali’.

Sujeeth is believed to be keen on roping in Alia Bhatt for the project. If that really is true, then even Alia might not say no to acting opposite a top star like Prabhas.

But it is doubtful whether Alia would be a suitable heroine opposite Prabhas given the latter’s height and physique. That can be the only impediment to Alia acting opposite Prabhas or she might well be making her Tollywood debut opposite NTR Junior sometime in the near future.

Many north Indians usually dislike south Indian food and stick by their diet. But Hansika who has been acting in Telugu for quite some time has acquired a taste for local sweets.

Of course, of late she has been busy with Tamil projects, Hansika says she loves to eat ariselu and boorelu when she is shooting in Telugu states.

Apparently, she started liking them after her fans bought them to the sets when she was shooting around Rajamundry, Vizag in the past.

She says even now she eats them whenever she can get them, giggles Hansika. She also reveals that while shooting with Mohan Babu, he makes sure that they are part of lunch or dinner just for her. While many would swear by jalebis, Hansika says she finds boorelu more appetizing.

Now, one is left wondering if she had ever tasted Guntur gongura pachchadi or Rajamundry panasa pottu koora? Well, now whoever said be a Roman in Rome?

Chandrababu anger on Panchumarthi Anuradha

Share

mla

Yesterday, there are many changes happened in TDP after Jupudi Prabhakar withdraw his nomination as MLC because of not having vote in AP. CBN looked into another alternative to replace Jupudi Prabhakar. He called Panchumarthi Anuradha who worked as Mayor for Vijayawada Corporation in place of Jupudi Prabhakar. Here the tenure for MLC is just 2 years for Anuradha’s fear.

Anuradha expressed her concern to CBN on 2 year tenure. As per buzz, CBN assured her 2 + 6 year tenure in second chance as MLC and asked her to file nomination in MLA quota. Worried Anuradha said that she had no nomination papers to file. She said all related papers in Vijayawada. Her answer made CBN very much angry on Anuradha. “Why you are coming here without required nomination papers?”

CBN called immediately former speaker Prathibha Bharathi as replacement for Jupudi Prabhakar. Anuradha was already selected in Governor’s quota. It is now question that CBN retain Anuradha in Governor’s quota or not. As per TDP sources, it’s not possible to control CBN’s emotions on anyone once he got angry. CBN is sure to change Anuradha name with another one in Governor’s list. Anuradha’s political future is in dilemma due to her negligence.

Invaders inspiration, Indians insult?

freedom

History of any nation highlights its rich traditions and culture. People of that country pride themselves to be off springs of such rich culture which their ancestors presented them.

While any country fall in the above category, Indian history baffles everyone. All the so called ‘pseudo secular’ historians worship invaders like Moghuls,Britishers,Portugese,French etc and belittle Indians who fought for freedom.

Many historians hail Lodhi,Gahzini,Babur, Akbar as Great forgetting the fact he murdered many Hindus and also those who came in his way. They belittle Rana Pratap,Shivaji, Prithvi Raj Chauhan,Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, who laid their lives to save the motherland.
Many places in India are named after Akbar,Ibrahim Lodhi, British queen Victoria etc showing out slave mentality. The moment any patriotic person watch those names, they will be hanging their heads in shame.
Historians brand first war of Indian independence as sepoy mutiny and freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh,Chandrasekhar Azad,Subhash Chandra Bose,Veer Savarkar as militants. This slave mentality instilled in the brain washed kids make them detest whatever is Indian and that is the reason why India despite its rich traditions and culture is lagging behind the world.

Special Status Not A Priority

Share

The drama regarding special status continues to haunt the people of AP just like how Telangana state hood dilemma used to trouble people of Telangana. As if the current confusion is not enough, some leaders add fuel to the fire with their own statements and assessments time and again.

We are now speaking about Daggubati Purandareshwari, D/O Late NTR who is with BJP and has become quite active now just like how she was in Congress party. She is BJP’s tool to keep Chandrababu and team in check over the reality of TDP-BJP alliance in AP, which may break if not managed properly.

She was already in news regarding her cold stance and nil reaction over special status to AP and now she has come out in open saying that special status is not that important. She has added that there are other priorities which AP is facing now that needs solutions to tackle problems.

All said and done, BJP’s leaders from AP seems to be giving an impression that they are here to manage things on behalf of their own high command. These leaders need to understand that with Modi’s image, they managed in 2014 but managing in future will be tough and they may be disregarded and swept aside like what happened with Congress leaders.

Puri brings Nithiin between Charmme and Chiru?

Share

puri

As he is on the verge of completing the low budget quickie, Jyothi Lakshmi, Puri Jagannadh is now rumoured to be working on his once in discussion Maa Amma Seethamahalakshmi starring Nithiin with Jyothi Lakshmi’s technical crew. Sources say that Puri is planning to commence the shoot in June and wrap it up before he launches Megastar’s 150th film.

While it is no big deal for Puri to begin and finish a film in less than a couple of months, many are wondering if Puri is not tiring himself creatively, before he gets into the biggest ever film in his career, Megastar’s film. On the other hand, Nithiin is also waiting to shoot for a film in his home banner but not much info is available on that front.

Puri and Nithiin teamed up for the first time for the romantic saga, Heart Attack. The film was an average grosser and did not help Nithiin’s career much. If at all the supertfast director decides to bring Nithiin’s project on tracks, we can surely expect three releases
from Puri Jagannadh this year. This is indeed a sensational feat by a star director in these times.

Women Centric Films Rule Bollywood: Will Tollywood Rise?

Share

stars

Even before it hit the screens this Friday, Kangana Ranaut and Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns is creating all the right noises through the special premieres. Those who have seen the film are especially raving about Kangana’s amazingly natural performance that stole everyone’s heart. Last year, Kangana amazed the critics and the audiences alike with her endearing performance in Queen.

Queen was a commercial success and the actress even got the prestigious National Award for Best Actress category. Her close competition, Priyanka Chopra was no less as she stunned film lovers with her ferocious act in Mary Kom. Early this year, even Anushka Sharma joined the league of extraordinary women with her intense performance in NH10. The film too was a commercial and critical success.

This has brought the topic of women-centric films ruling the roost in Bollywood. Meanwhile in Tollywood, films hardly feature heroines in the lead roles and even in top stars’ films, they are limited to songs and dances and few romantic scenes. Will our Tollywood heroines take inspiration from their Bollywood counterparts and give their consent to female-centric films?

All the top heroines like Samantha, Kajal, Tamannah and Shrti Haasan etc have been in the business for the last 5, 6 years. Barring Anushka, who succeeded in winning the hearts of film lovers with Arundathi, no actress managed to even feature herself in a lady oriented film. If only these actresses gave their consent, writers will surely come up with meaty roles and women-oriented films for them.

Fly Pakistani flag to get Indian Passport

Share

flag

The moment one reads the heading, prior well hurl abuses at the un patriotic tenor in the heading.Any citizen of India who wants to apply for Indian passport should owe allegiance to India’s sovereignty and integrity and testify in  the  application form that he is citizen of the country. Even then if any criminal cases are on  the person, then his passport will be rejected.

While common people are subjected to such strict certifications, parties in Jammu and Kashmir  and separatists are demanding passport to Hurriyat leader Geelani who spits venom on India, flies Pakistan flash, burns Indian flag. He left the country which he belongs to as empty and always said Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

Now parties are demanding passport to Geelani on humanitarian ground to enable him to visit his ailing daughter in Pakistan. All patriotic people are questioning why should terrorists have humanitarian grounds as they are not humans but saitans in form of humans. This is big test to Modi led Indian government which boasts of patriotism.

Is Young Hero Feeling Insecure After Third Flop In A Row?

Share

ranbir

It seems actor Ranbir Kapoor is still rattled by the failure of Bombay Velvet, his third flop in a row after Besharam and Roy.

In an interview to NDTV, Kapoor bared his heart on his state of mind post the film’s release.

“There’s a sense of insecurity that’s starting to trend inside of me. I’m feeling a sense of friction where I really don’t know what’s happening with my career. I know what’s happening with my work but I don’t know what’s going to happen with my career.”

Bombay Velvet, which was expected to hit the jackpot at the box office, failed miserably. It garnered Rs 5.20 crore on the first day of its release and recorded a meagre Rs 20.97 crore in its first week. The film’s budget was said to be in excess of Rs 100 crore.

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming films Tamasha and Jagga Jasoos are also big budget films, and thus the pressure on him to deliver a blockbuster is going to remain the same in the coming months as well.

A man, suspected to have robbed a woman software firm employee inside an ATM centre in Hyderabad on Wednesday, has been held, police sources said.

Sources, however, did not disclose his name, only stating that a firearm and three live rounds had been seized from his possession. Further details are expected to be given later.

The incident took place in Yosufguda area on Wednsday morning when Lalitha (25), who works with a software firm and stays at a hostel in Madhura Nagarand went to the ATM centre to withdraw money.

As she entered the centre, an unidentified man, face covered with handkerchief, followed her inside and asked her to hand over her jewellery, etc.

When she resisted, he fired into wall from a pistol, and took away her gold chain, earrings, mobile phone and ATM card.

The pistol was suspected to be a country-made one, said the deputy commissioner of police A Venkateshwera Rao. “He also forced her to disclose PIN number of ATM card and tried to withdraw money before fleeing but failed due to some technical problem,” the DCP said, adding “we suspect that the accused is a repeat offender…we are collecting scientific evidence.”

Fifteen minutes after the accused fled from the spot, Rs 2,500 were found to have been withdrawn from another ATM centre using the victim’s card.
