Filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss, who is busy shooting for his next film “Akira” starring Sonakshi Sinha, has named the actress as “Lady Rajini of Mumbai”.

Murugadoss shared a Dubsmash video of the “Tevar” actress on micro-blogging website Twitter, where she was seen mouthing a dialogue of southern superstar Rajnikanth.

“Lady Rajini of Mumbai,” the “Kaththi” director tweeted.

Being produced by Fox Star Studios, “Akira”, a thriller movie, is the Hindi remake of 2011 Tamil hit “Mounaguru” and it features Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha as well.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has called S.S. Rajamouli’s upcoming Telugu film “Baahubali – The Beginning” as the “largest motion picture made in India”.

The “My Name Is Khan” director took to micro-blogging website Twitter to share his views about the film on Thursday.

“The largest motion picture made in india..Baahubali!! Bhallaladeva is revealed today…@ssrajamouli LiveTheEpic,” Karan tweeted along with a poster featuring Rana Daggubati.

Slated for release on July 10 worldwide, the film features Prabhas Varma, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nasser in important roles.

Karan has bagged the release rights of the Hindi theatrical version of “Baahubali – The Beginning”. Johar will release the film in partnership with Anil Thadani.

Here’s the sneak peek of actor Emraan Hashmi’s look in the forthcoming film “Azhar” in which he’s reprising the role of controversial cricketer and former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin. Touted to be the biopic of cricketer-turned-politician, the film features about Azhar’s personal and professional life. Although it’s a human drama, makers said to have made it as a commercial entertainer and hence Emraan has been cast in the film to add more glamour to the role.

Well-known filmmaker Anthony D’Souza, who happens to be the close friend of Azharuddin, is wielding the mantle for this crazy project. Considerin tha Anthony has good rapprot with Azhar for many years, producers roped in Anthony as his proximity with ex cricketer helps the film more.

Azharuddin’s story is nothing sort of Bollywood potboiler. He is probably the one cricketer who has had the most colourful life — from being one of the most successful captains of his time and then being implicated in the match fixing scandal in 2000, to his link-ups and marriage to actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Azhar is closely involved with the project and Emraan underwent rigorous training in cricket.

The youngest of Manchus, Manchu Manoj, got married to his lady love Pranathi Reddy in a star studded celebration this morning. While many celebrities from the film industry attended the wedding and wished Manoj on his wedding, here’s one actor and Manoj’s close friend Nani who brought in few smiles on his fans’ faces.

Megastar Chiranjeevi had come forward to control the ever growing budgets of the Telugu films. He reportedly gave a ceiling target of a modest 37 Crore for Ram Charan’s next. If the film completes in this budget, it will be the least costly star film in the recent times.

Chiranjeevi managed to achieve it by slashing down the remunerations and keeping the working days to very less. Even if the team managed to achieve the target with some 10% deviation, it is still a good job.

But Kajal Agarwal whose career is not going great guns says she will never do any character that has grey shades in it.

Apparently, she was recently asked to do a role that is on the lines of the character played by Ramyakrishna in Narasimha. But Kajal is said to have taken a full day to think it over and is said to have had talks with her close friends and aides and then refused the offer.

For now, Kajal is looked upon as a Barbie doll so it is best for her career to keep the image for now and then change it when the times comes.

Of course, she still retains her position as the highest paid actress and it is best if she sticks to glam roles for now. Like all actors, she can think of author-backed roles once she gets no offers as a heroine.

She will be playing the female lead in this film produced by Anand L. Rai. Director RS Prasanna who directed the Tamil version will be wielding megaphone for this one too.
