Finally here is some good news to Pawan Kalyan fans who are waiting for Gabbar Singh-2 for a long time. The movie which is in air for a long time with out going on to sets, is registering some progress now. Director Bobby reportedly started the music sitting of the film along with Devi Sri Prasad. The music director also composed music for Gabbar Singh and delivered a remarkable album.

On the other side, the sources with in the movie unit tells us that the movie will start in this month itself. As of now the plan is too shoot the film nonstop till completion. Gabbar Singh-2 is set in the backdrop of Chambal Valley. Power fame KS Ravindra (Bobby) is brought in to the project after sending Sampath Nandi out.

Anisha Ambrose will be romancing Pawan Kalyan in this film. Jaynan Vincent will be cranking the camera. There are rumours that Puli heroine Nikesha Patel was roped in for a crucial role. The makers are planning to complete the film under 20 Crores except for the remuneration of Pawan Kalyan.

Since Gabbar Singh is a brand, this project is expected to create excellent hype in Trade and Audience as well. They are planning to sell the movie for at least 60 Crore before the release which means outright profit of 40 Crore.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan drew a comparison between his childhood image and that of his youngest son AbRam. But according to his sister Shehnaz, SRK was “more handsome” as a baby.

“Sisters r so sweet. I asked mine if she remembers if I looked like lil AbRam. She said “NOO!!U were very handsome” haha,” the 49-year-old tweeted on Friday.

Shah Rukh introduced AbRam to Kolkata when the star father was in the city earlier this month to cheer for his cricket team, the Kolkata Knight Riders.

The “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” actor also has two more children – son Aryan and daughter Suhana – with wife Gauri.

On the big screen, SRK was last seen in Farah Khan’s “Happy New Year” and will be seen in Maneesh Sharma’s “Fan” and Rahul Dholakia’s “Raees”.

In the past few years, there have been a lot of controversies involving Padma awardees.

Considered to be prestigious awards conferred by the Government of India on distinguished personalities from various fields, the partisan attitude of the awards has given rise to one too many controversies.

So, the government has decided to raise the bar for the awards and the awardees too must put in some extra effort to impress the government.

For starters, they will have to submit a 800 word citation as to why they deserve the award.

The government also wants them to cite not just their distinctions and achievements, but also wants them to include specific works published in indexed reputed journals, welfare work done for society and details of any other national or state awards.

Well, surely, the government is trying to do its bit to counter the allegations and future Padma awardees will have to prove why they deserve the coveted awards.

It is quite common in the industry for heroes to turn producers. Recently a comedy hero also turned producer and entrusted the direction to quite a notable director.

The movie prior to release attracted a lot of attention and hype among both the class audiences and the mass audience where the hero has a strong following.

However, belying all expectations, the movie turned out to be a disaster at the box-office and the young hero lost his investment.

Since, it was his own film; there was no question of remuneration. But even then, the total losses for the hero came to around Rs 5 crore.

The hero himself is telling this fact to his well-wishers and expressing his disappointment.

If one looks at neighbouring Tamil Nadu, the films there have titles which are Tamil words.

On the other hand, in Telugu, the film-makers don’t go that extra mile to find a suitable Telugu title. If they can get away with it, they go for English titles and they don’t have any qualms about doing that too.

But slowly and steadily, film-makers are realizing the beauty of naming a Telugu film with a Telugu title and one can already see the difference clearly.

Following the success of Attarintiki Daaredi, many heroes have been opting for proper Telugu titles.

For example, Mahesh’s forthcoming films will be called Sreemanthudu and Brahmotsavam.

Earlier, Ram Charan had acted in Govindudu Andari Vaadele and Venkatesh-Mahesh film was called Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

Recently, Nagarjuna and family acted in Manam while Venkatesh-Pawan Kalyan’s film was called Gopala Gopala.

Not to be left behind, we have had small films called Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki, etc. Though the titles are catching on, English titles do pop up once in while, but by and large, the trend is towards having proper Telugu titles. Surely, it is a change for good.

Sensational is a very small word for the opening of Lawerence’s Ganga. The movie shattered all the records of dubbing films left right and centers and ended up as third biggest first day figure after Shankar’s I and Rajinikanth’s Linga.

The numbers were close to Linga in many areas. The bigger thing is that the figures were almost double than the best Suriya starer in Telugu.

Normally when the careers of heroines go on a downward slope after a successful innings, they tend to settle down into marital bliss.

It was the same with Trisha Krishnan. After no big projects coming her way, she got engaged to business tycoon, Varun Manian. There are rumors now that all is not well between them and that the pair has decided to call it quits.

What lends credence to the speculation is Trisha refusing to give dates for a film to be produced by Varun and then not showing up for an important function in Varun’s house. There is one reason being postulated for the bad blood between them.

When Trisha got engaged, she had hardly any projects on hand. But after her engagement, she was flooded with offers.

Her career graph once again peaked and the change in fortunes might have contributed to the deterioration in their relationship.

If a talented young director scores a hit, immediately he gets a phone call from Annapurna Studios.

Paid an advance amount and locked into a contractual obligation with the studio, they are then asked to prepare scripts that suit either Nag or Naga Chaitanya.

Once the script is prepared, Nag then entrusts the project to a producer.

The disadvantage of this process is that other producers are finding it difficult to work with new directors as they are committed to Annapurna Studios.

And producers preferred by Nag agree to produce his movies as they would get huge benefits from Annapurna Studios in terms of production costs.

The downside of course is that they can cast only Nag or his son. Thus, Nagarjuna is proving himself to be a smart project manager with good co-ordination skills.

Apparently, poor Sushant and Sumanth  have no such privileges and have to fend for themselves.

Their combination is probably best described as ‘interesting’. Given Boyapati’s style of film-making and Bunny’s image, it is hard to imagine a film with both of them.

And Bunny hasn’t done very many mass films in his career barring Badrinath which is probably the only full-length mass film that he has done. Of course, there was Desamuduru too.

So when one thinks of a Boyapati film, one can think of actors like NTR or Ram Charan. Bunny on the other hand looks a little out of place in Boyapati’s scheme of things.

So will Boyapati change his style? Never says Boyapati. He insists that all his stories are meant for mass audiences and confirms that Bunny’s film will be an out and out mass film.

Meanwhile, talk in tinsel ville is that Ratham is being considered as the title for their combination. But Boyapati says that he would never give such a soft title to his film and adds that his film would have a powerful title.

Of course, many in Film Nagar are wondering as to why Bunny is taking such a risk and why Allu Arvind is pumping in money for the film. Well, the only answer to that would be to wait and watch.
