This is surely a shocking news to the Tollywood film industry from the Central government. As the income tax payments are being under check and all citizens are being motivated to pay it before date, a leading daily reported that the Centre questioned about the IT payments of the Tollywood heroes and directors.

It seems the Union Ministry of finance has asked the Telangana IT Ministry  to submit a report of the Tollywood heroes and directors IT payments who are paying to Chennai when they are residing in Hyderabad. According to the news report, the Centre asked “What are the remunerations to the heroes, directors? How much are they paying to IT? Who are those Tollywood big shots who are trying to escape to pay IT in Hyderabad instead paying to Chennai?”

So, this implies that the IT department of Hyderabad should be sending a report over the issue. It seems the Tollywood biggies are paying IT to Chennai to avoid high rates in Hyderabad. So, don’t you think this is a big jolt to the Tollywood biggies?

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan is back at the box office after a long gap. His Uttama Villain is releasing in Telugu and Tamil this Friday. The movie was censored recently with Clean U certificate and here is how the movie from a person who watched the film in the censor screening.

The report will certainly disappoint Kamal Hassan fans as it is carrying poor reports. They say the movie is more like a documentary of theater arts. The director and Kamal got every thing wrong in terms of Story, Screenplay etc.

Even there is nothing great about the performances in the movie. Adding to this, the movie is painfully three hours long which will test the patience of audience. On the other side, Uttama Villain will take on Ganga at the box office tomorrow.

However there is so much of craze for Ganga while Uttama Villain has no takers. Even the advance booking is also not that great. Lets see how far the Universal hero will satisfy his fans from tomorrow.

Comedian Sudhakar, TV serial artist late Hari Prasad and another noted character artist Narayana are close friends of K Siva Shankar Varaprasad since their film institute days in Madras. Later, that Varaprasad became “Supreme Hero” Chiranjeevi and Madras became Chennai, while their friendship remained same. What is the biggest gift given by Chiru as token of love for this bonding?

As their first project, this team has made “Yamudiki Mogudu” movie with Megastar in 1988. Back then, a big film has budget in lakhs, but this film shot upto 1 crore 20 lakhs nearly. Amazing set-designs, fantastic costumes and risky fight sequences costed a bomb. There’s no reason to panic anyway. Upon its release, the film went on to become a smashing hit at box office, and became an industry hit for Chiranjeevi.

Later, these three friends failed to make any other flick on that banner and they didn’t push for a new project with Chiranjeevi too. But the film remains forever in golden history of Tollywood, as Narayana now says, “This is amazing gift of friendship, especially by Chiru, as he’s the one who asked us to start a banner and produce a film such that we will settle down financially”.

Today (April 29th) marks 27 years of release for Chiranjeevi’s “Yamudiki Mogudu”.

A senior Malayalam actress was caught speaking rubbish after getting drunk at a Kerala Legislative event. The video was leaked by one of the journos and has become viral on Youtube now. This award winning actress is renowned for acting in all the south Indian languages and known for dubbing on her own in all the languages. She is currently waiting for the release of a big film in which she got a meaty role!

However, it is being said that star producer Allu Arvind has given strict instructions to Boyapati Srinu who is directing Bunny’s next film to stick to tight budget.

Apparently, made it clear that he did not want to jack up production costs for his son’s film and told the crew not to go overboard and target a high figure like Rs 40 crores.

It is said that Arvind had suggested that they must consider getting a new heroine as that would cut the costs by Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crores. Boyapati was also told to be tight-fisted when it came to casting of other actors and overall production costs.

Well, a good producer has to have such clarity. Instead many producers go overboard while making the film and then act miserly when it comes to promoting the film. We hope producers like BVSN Prasad learn a thing or two from Allu Arvind.

As Salman attended a Jodhpur court in connection with an arms case, he pleaded guilty. Before recording his statement, court asked him his name, father’s name, profession and caste. When court asked him ‘caste’, he got stumped, but someone from crowd asked him to say “muslim”. However, Salman said, “Hindu and Muslim, I’m both”.

As per the buzz from film circles, Nithin is trying to rope in Rakul Preeth Singh for his next project. Rakul will have to squeeze in dates between the biggies to adjust dates for this one.

Nithin is aware of Rakul’s demand in Tollywood and is offering 1 crore for her. This is more than double to what Rakul is charging at the moment say sources.

Interestingly Rakul was supposed to do a film with Nithin earlier. Nithin replaced Rakul with another heroine after that movie was shelved. Now he is willing to pay eight figured salary if she agrees to team up with him.

After her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor, it took some time for Deepika Padukone to get back to normal. Though she did date Siddharth Mallya for a brief while, nothing came out of it.

Rumors then surfaced that Deepika was dating her ‘Ram Leela’ co-star, Ranvir Singh. But many felt that this was just a gimmick to promote the movie. Apparently, Deepika and Ranvir really are in love.
