Artist Kadambari Kiran Emotional Interview – Nene
Samantha puts Money as Top Priority?
Samantha who has been ruling the Telugu Cinema industry for a long time did most of her Telugu films with top rated star heroes. Only Bellamkonda Srinivas was lucky enough to romance her among the upcoming heroes.
She charged a hefty sum for Alludu Seenu claim media reports. As per unconfirmed reports she was paid 2 crores for that film.
Everyone questioned her choice when she agreed to romance a newcomer while she was the numero uno heroine in Tollywood.
Samantha is a wise lady and knows how to cash in on her popularity. For the same reason she is willing to do a movie with Sundeep Kishan produced by ace cinematographer Chota K. Naidu.
Although Sundeep Kishan is a well known face, he is yet to break into the star league. Samantha is aware of it, but is ready to take up this project if she gets what she asked for.
Buzz says that Vinayak wield the megaphone for this film as Chota K Naidu is planning to give a big break for his darling nephew Sundeep.
‘365 Days’ Not About My Marriage: RGV
Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma says the story of upcoming Telugu romantic-drama “365 Days”, a peek at the story of a couple post nuptials, is not based on his own marriage.
“It’s the story of most couples nowadays. It’s not based on my marriage. I penned the screenplay keeping in mind the emotions of a couple by looking at marriage from very close quarters,” Varma told IANS.
“I had a failed marriage. It was not because of my wonderful wife. It was because she got a bad husband,” he said.
Starring Nandoo and Anaika Soti in the lead, the film is gearing up for release in May.
According to Varma, marriage will soon be an extinct concept.
“A man and a woman need each other, but they can’t live together by getting married. Marriage will no longer exist and people will prefer to be friends,” he added.
Learnt A Lot From Lawrence, Not Mani Ratnam!
Nithya Menon is one of the very few actresses who speak her heart out without any diplomacy. She doesn’t try to impress somebody and aim to be in the good books of a popular personality with her sweet talk.
She is very straightforward and outspoken and that is one of the greatest virtues of this wonderful actress.
When a journalist asked if she learnt anything by doing a Mani Ratnam film, Nithya said “Just because it is a Mani Ratnam film, it doesn’t mean you learn from it. I can’t force myself to learn something because it’s Mani Ratnam.”
Nithya told that she has learnt a lot from Lawrence instead! Nithya says that acting in ‘Kanchana 2’ was one of the biggest learning experiences in her career so far.
“I always believed that an actor can do anything without any guidance. But I didn’t have a clue about what to do when Lawrence narrated Ganga character to me. I asked him to show me what to do and simply followed it. I don’t want to do something easy and make quick money. I am looking for challenging roles and probably not another Kanchana 2. I am done with it. It takes a lot of your energy,” Nithya Menen said in an interview.
Varma Sets A New Trend
Well, trust those who are called Varma to try something different every single time. Probably, it has got to do with their name.
Of course, usually Ram Gopal Varma tries bizarre things to grab audiences’ attention. But this time, we are talking about Sudheer Varma who has directed Dochey that released yesterday.
Well, in his film, the heroine called Meera is a medico and is shown smoking cigarettes. In fact, the film’s hero Naga Chaitanya even pulls her leg saying, ‘don’t you watch Mukesh ad before the movie screening in theatres?’ Still, she gives a damn and goes about smoking.
In the past, if the lead actors were shown indulging in alcohol or smoking, they would mend their ways by the time the film ended. Of course times have changed and people’s lifestyle has changed.
So, in Sudheer Varma’s film the heroine is anything but apologetic. Maybe he was simply trying to reflect the lifestyle of present day women, especially in software industry.
In a way, Varma has indeed set a trend of sorts.
