Actress Pooja Hegde recently shared a quirky travel moment with her fans, calling it a “boat ride” to the airport. Taking to Instagram Stories, she posted a video showing waterlogged roads in Chennai, where she was seen sitting in the backseat of a car navigating through the rain-filled streets. Captioning the clip, Pooja wrote, “A quick boat ride to the airport… I have some interesting airport stories lately,” along with a Chennai geotag.
On the work front, Pooja was recently seen in the song “Monica” from the Tamil-language action thriller Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat. Notably, Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj share the screen again after 38 years, having last acted together in the 1986 blockbuster Mr. Bharath, where Sathyaraj played Rajinikanth’s father. Coolie, Rajinikanth’s 171st film, revolves around a gold smuggling plot and is a standalone story, according to the director.
Looking ahead, Pooja will be seen in Jana Nayagan, a political action thriller directed by H. Vinoth. The film stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, along with Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani. The project is intended to be Vijay’s final film before entering politics and marks KVN’s first Tamil-language production. Originally announced in September 2024 under the tentative title Thalapathy 69, the film’s official title was revealed in January 2025.
