Pradeep Machiraju is all set to make a strong comeback with his upcoming rural romantic drama Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, which is slated for release on the 11th of this month.
Taking his time after his debut, Pradeep shared that he was patiently waiting for the right script. “We went through several concepts, but when this story came along, we knew it had potential. We built it from scratch and took our time to ensure everything was perfect,” he said.
Describing the film as a modern-day Chandamama Katha, Pradeep explains the plot revolves around a charming village girl and a civil engineer who visits her village. “The village is steeped in traditions and has its own unique set of rules. The hero finds himself tangled in this world, and the way he navigates through it forms the crux of the story,” he adds.
Deepika Pilli plays the female lead, and Pradeep is confident that her performance will surprise the audience. “We wanted a Telugu girl who could truly bring authenticity to the role. After several rounds of auditions, look tests, and workshops, we finalized Deepika—and she has delivered beautifully,” he shared.
Directed by Nitin and Bharath and backed by Monks and Monkeys banner, the film is being distributed by the reputed Mythri Movie Distributors. With its rooted setting, heartfelt emotions, and strong performances, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi promises to be a refreshing love story with a rural charm.
