Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, produced by Hombale Films, has turned into a nationwide sensation with a record-breaking box office run. Within just one week of release, the film collected a staggering ₹509 crore worldwide, setting a new benchmark for regional cinema with its blend of myth, folklore, and raw emotion.
Rishab Shetty, who both directed and starred in the movie, expressed heartfelt gratitude toward the Telugu audience for their overwhelming support. “Just like they embraced Kantara, they have showered the same immense love on Kantara Chapter 1,” he said.
The filmmaker also shared his happiness about bringing folklore-based storytelling back into the limelight. “We wanted to tell this story with complete honesty, and that sincerity connected with people.
