During Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, several films critical of the TDP and actor-politician Pawan Kalyan were released, some even sparking legal battles. Now, with the alliance government in power and Pawan Kalyan himself part of the cabinet, discussions have resurfaced about producing films that target Jagan’s administration.
Insiders reveal that certain individuals are urging government leaders to greenlight such projects, emphasizing that the next four years are a pivotal window to produce multiple films exposing alleged flaws in Jagan’s governance. Alongside the political motive, there is a strong financial incentive—once approvals are granted, funding is expected to be readily available, encouraging rapid productions aimed at maximizing returns.
Scripts are reportedly in development, drawing on controversial episodes from Jagan’s rule, such as the button-press launches, “Siddham” meetings, and the covered stage shows during his tours. These films aim to spotlight these incidents through compelling storytelling. Compared to earlier films targeting Chandrababu, Lokesh, or Pawan, the volume of planned anti-Jagan productions seems notably higher.
