SEC warns CS that serious actions will be taken..?

The government of Andhra Pradesh and the State Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh seem to be having a never-ending series of misunderstandings, and lack of cooperation.

It is known that the SEC, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, had written a letter to the Chief Secretary of the state, Adutyanath Das, asking him to transfer CM Office member, and Jagan’s Principal Secretary, Praveen Prakash, because he was the one who was responsible for the video conference not taking place. This video conference was organised by the SEC, with all relevant officers of the state, who are supposed to be a part of the local elections. Not only did Praveen Prakash not let this conference happen, but he also very publicly agreed to that very fact.

In yet another letter, Nimmagadda questioned the CS’s lack of action, with respect to transferring Praveen Prakash – who so shamelessly agreed to not letting the conference take place, as a result of which the first phase of elections got postponed – and stated that serious action against the CS would be taken in the High Court, where every single letter and every single action of the CS’s would be filed in a petition.

Furthermore, Nimmagdda condemned the manner in which the CS also failed to send him the names of potential candidates who could be made the Collectors of Guntur and Chittoor districts, as their previous collectors were transferred due to not cooperating with the SEC. He also asked the CS to do this immediately, and in the case that he fails so, it was indicative that the SEC would consider this to be serious as well.
