A new song from the film, Yedho Ye Janmalodo, has been released, captivating audiences with its soulful rendition by Ananya Bhat. What makes this song truly special is the collaboration between two legendary maestros—Ilaiyaraaja as the composer and MM Keeravani as the lyricist. This marks the first time Keeravani has penned lyrics for a song composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The song beautifully expresses a woman’s perspective of her beloved.
Director Pavan Prabha shared his experience of recording the song in Chennai with Ilaiyaraaja. He wanted lyrics that were both meaningful and melodious, which led him to approach Keeravani. After listening to the tune, Keeravani immediately agreed and crafted extraordinary lyrics in a quick writing session.
The film spans multiple time periods, including a nostalgic retro episode shot in Tathapudi near Yanam, where Rajendra Prasad and Archana appear unchanged from 30 years ago. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Godavari region, Shashtipoorthi captures the essence of life across different generations.
