Over the past few years, Dallas, Texas has emerged as a major hub for the Indian community in the United States. Attracted by relatively lower taxes and favourable living conditions, the region has seen a steady rise in Indian migration. However, this rapid growth has also raised concerns over irregularities linked to visa-related employment practices.

In this context, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has initiated a large-scale investigation into approximately 30 alleged H-1B visa fraud cases in North Texas.

According to recent reports, Civil Investigative Demands have been issued to nearly 30 businesses as part of the ongoing probe into suspected misuse of the H-1B visa program. The list of companies under scrutiny includes Tekpro IT LLC, Fame PBX LLC, 1st Ranking Technologies LLC, Qubitz Tech Systems LLC, Blooming Clouds LLC, Virat Solutions Inc., Oak Technologies Inc., Techpath Inc., and Techquency LLC, among others.

Authorities suspect these firms may have engaged in fraudulent activities to exploit the visa system. Investigators allege that some companies operated “ghost offices,” falsely projecting active business operations in order to sponsor foreign workers under the H-1B category.

“I will not allow the H-1B program to be abused by bad actors seeking to exploit loopholes. My office will continue to uncover and stop fraud within the system,” Attorney General Paxton stated.

As part of the investigation, authorities have sought detailed records from the companies, including employee data, financial statements, service or product documentation, and internal communications related to their operations.

The probe is part of a broader crackdown aimed at addressing alleged visa fraud and ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration and employment laws.
