After suggesting the AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi to quit India and go to Pakistan if he questions Yakub’s death sentence recently, controversial VHP leader and BJP MP Sadhvi Prachi once again shocked the country by saying that “there are one or two terrorists in the parliament”. Speaking to a national TV channel, the Sadhvi said, “Nothing more unfortunate than knowing that there are 1-2 terrorists present in the Parliament.”
The Sadhvi stoked a controversy when she says that those who are against Yakub’s death sentence are terrorists. The Sadhvi made these comments in the wake of comments by senior Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and Shashi Tharoor, who were against Yakub’s death penalty and described the execution as state sponsored murder s and that the country must shun terror and follow Gandhi.
Not leaving the recently captured Pak terrorist Mohammad Naved, the Sadhvi said, “the authorities should hand him to organizations like the VHP so that he can be ‘taught a good lesson’.” Sadhvi’s comments irked the Congress and other political parties’ leaders and they all demanded an explanation from Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
