Varanasi: Rajamouli Surprises Fans with Early Updates
December 1, 2025

Rajamouli is usually the kind of director who remains silent until his film is close to release, revealing updates only when the theatrical debut is near. But this time, he has taken a completely different approach with Varanasi. The film has completed only three schedules so far, yet Rajamouli has already released multiple promotional materials, including a grand event in Hyderabad.
Mahesh Babu fans, who expected Rajamouli to maintain his usual secrecy until the final phase, are thrilled that they now have plenty of early content. Normally, fans keep pressuring Rajamouli and their hero for updates. But this time, Rajamouli surprised everyone by giving them what they wanted much earlier than expected.
However, the natural expectation now is that Rajamouli may not release any new updates for quite some time. This could very well be his strategy going forward. Since he has already given fans enough content at this early stage, they cannot question him later if there is a long gap in promotions.
From here on, fans will have to stay patient and allow Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu to proceed at their own pace. The director has already done more than what he usually does at this stage—now it’s time for the audience to wait calmly for the next phase.
