Paradise Lands Record Nizam Deal, Bigger Test Ahead

Natural Star Nani’s The Paradise continues to command massive attention despite the makers postponing its release from August to September without announcing a new date. The film has emerged as one of the most anticipated Telugu releases, with trade circles expressing strong confidence in its theatrical prospects thanks to the tremendous buzz generated over the past few months.
Giving the film a significant boost, Mythri Movie Makers has reportedly acquired the Nizam distribution rights for a whopping ₹37 crore. It is the biggest single-territory theatrical deal in Nani’s career and reflects the confidence distributors have in the project. However, the road ahead remains equally challenging.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise is being mounted on an ambitious scale and has already become the most expensive film of Nani’s career. With the production budget reportedly exceeding the initial estimates, the makers now need equally strong business across the remaining territories to ensure a comfortable recovery before the film reaches theatres.
The film’s promotional campaign has played a crucial role in elevating expectations. The unconventional first-look poster generated widespread curiosity, while the recently released chartbuster Aya Sher took the hype to another level. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the mass anthem has become a sensation, significantly strengthening the film’s market value and audience anticipation.
Although the production house recently denied reports claiming a ₹110 crore worldwide theatrical business, trade insiders believe the final pre-release deals are likely to be highly impressive if the current momentum continues. Strong theatrical agreements in Andhra, Ceded, Karnataka, Overseas and other key territories will be essential for the producers to recover the film’s substantial investment before release.
To sustain the excitement, the makers will need to maintain a carefully planned promotional campaign. With Anirudh Ravichander expected to have a packed schedule in the coming months, completing the remaining songs and promotional material at the earliest would be a strategic move. Releasing another impactful asset—either a powerful second single or an explosive teaser—well ahead of the release could further boost the film’s theatrical business and keep the buzz alive.
The Paradise also marks Nani’s return to the big screen after more than a year following the success of HIT 3: The Third Case. The film reunites him with director Srikanth Odela after the blockbuster success of Dasara, making expectations even higher among fans and the trade alike.
