Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna first came together on screen in the blockbuster Geetha Govindam, instantly winning hearts and earning the title of a “hit pair.” They later reunited for Dear Comrade. Though the film didn’t fare well at the box office, their chemistry received wide appreciation from fans and critics alike.
Since then, the rumor mills haven’t stopped buzzing about a possible real-life romance between the two. But more than that, fans have been loudly hoping for a third film featuring the beloved pair.
Now, it seems that dream might soon turn into reality.
Vijay has signed his next film with Shyam Singha Roy director Rahul Sankrityan. The project will be backed by Mythri Movie Makers, who were previously in talks with Rashmika for Robinhood, though that didn’t materialize. This time, however, the production house appears keen on casting her opposite Vijay once again.
Adding to the buzz, Mythri tweeted a teasing “HmmLetsSee” tagging Rashmika—who responded with her own “Hmmmm Guys…” The playful online exchange has left fans speculating that an official announcement could drop any day now.
Meanwhile, Vijay is currently busy with Kingdom, directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, which is scheduled for release on May 30. Rashmika was most recently seen in Sikandar opposite Salman Khan.
If confirmed, this will mark the third collaboration between Vijay and Rashmika—something fans have been waiting years to see.
