Since the 2024 elections, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been spending most of his time at his luxurious residence in Bengaluru, making brief visits to Andhra Pradesh once a week for just two to three days before returning.
Following the same pattern, Jagan arrived in Andhra Pradesh three days ago, met with party leaders and supporters, and held a press meet where he reiterated his promise to enforce Jagan 2.0 in the next term. However, his visit comes at a time when his party is facing multiple challenges, including the recent arrest of Gannavaram YCP candidate Vallabhaneni Vamsi by the Andhra Pradesh police—an issue that has sparked widespread discussions.
Adding to the political heat, there is growing pressure from party cadres urging Jagan to embark on a statewide tour. While he had previously announced plans to meet struggling YSRCP workers post-Sankranthi, he recently downplayed the urgency, stating there was “plenty of time left.”
Amid these developments, Jagan is once again set to leave for Bengaluru today, with arrangements already in place. Reports suggest he will first attend the wedding of YCP MLA Ramachandra Reddy’s son before departing.
Jagan’s repeated departures, even during politically sensitive times, have led to speculation that he is maintaining a relaxed approach to the current challenges, choosing to stay away from the evolving political landscape in Andhra Pradesh.
