With the summer season officially underway, theatres are seeing a steady flow of small to mid-budget releases aiming to make the most of the long holiday window. Gaayapadda Simham, starring Tharun Bhascker and Kasyap

Sreenivas, is one such film attempting to capture audience attention.
Backed by presenter Pavan Sadineni and strong distribution support from Dil Raju, the film generated decent pre-release buzz. However, it is Sree Vishnu who has unexpectedly stolen the spotlight, emerging as the major highlight with his extended cameo.

In many ways, Gaayapadda Simham turns into Sree Vishnu’s show, especially in the second half where his presence drives much of the entertainment. His spoof sequences referencing popular films like Salaar, Pokiri, Bommarillu, Arjun Reddy, and KGF are receiving strong applause and adding solid entertainment value inside theatres.

The film opened on a relatively slow note with moderate occupancy for morning and matinee shows. However, positive word of mouth from early screenings is gradually picking up momentum. Second-day bookings are also showing an encouraging trend, hinting at improving audience interest.

If this upward trend continues, Gaayapadda Simham could well turn out to be one of the surprise successes of the season.
