Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently immersed in the preparations for his highly anticipated film Varanasi, directed by visionary filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli, who is known for delivering large-scale, visually spectacular cinema.
Recently, Mahesh Babu took a brief break from the shoot and traveled abroad alone, which surprised many fans as he is usually seen vacationing with his family. This led to several speculations on social media, but the actor himself put all rumors to rest by sharing updates online.

He revealed that he is currently in Germany’s famous Black Forest region, a scenic destination known for its dense forests, mountains, lakes, and serene natural beauty. While it is a popular tourist spot, Mahesh Babu clarified that this visit is not a vacation. Instead, he is undergoing intense trekking sessions and physical training to prepare for his role in Varanasi. He also shared photos with his trainer and doctor Harry, which quickly went viral, showcasing his strong commitment and dedication to the project.

Interestingly, this is not his first visit to the Black Forest. Earlier in 2024, after the release of Guntur Kaaram, he had visited the same location for trekking and fitness training. His return now indicates that the forest environment plays a significant role in shaping his character for the upcoming film.

Reports also suggest that the next schedule of Varanasi may be shot in extreme locations such as Antarctica, hinting at high-intensity action sequences and a grand adventure scale.

Adding to the excitement, the film is expected to have a global reach, as it will be released not only in Indian languages but also in Spanish. Producer S. S. Karthikeya reportedly confirmed this international expansion during a recent visit to Mexico, highlighting the team’s aim for a worldwide audience.

Varanasi is currently slated for a global theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
