The trailer, nearly three minutes long, begins with Shiva’s son standing at the very spot where his father mysteriously vanished into the forest. It introduces the classic battle of good versus evil, bringing in several characters from the past while highlighting the central theme of greed. The story also touches upon tyranny, showing how a king oppresses his people and the conditions that lead them to revolt.
Fans of the original Kantara will notice a rich blend of nature, folklore, and ritualistic elements, although the trailer keeps the divine aspects minimal, possibly as a deliberate choice to build anticipation.
Produced by Hombale Films, the movie explores the ancient origins of the Bhoota Kola ritual. The screenplay is co-written by Rishab Shetty, Anirudh Mahesh, and Shanil Guru, while the cast includes Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Deviah.
