8 Vasantalu Earns Praise for Unique Story and Passionate Performances
When a leading Pan-India production house like Mythri Movie Makers supports a small-scale film such as 8 Vasantalu, it underscores the project’s powerful storytelling and artistic merit.
At the film’s pre-release event, director Phanindra Narsetti expressed heartfelt gratitude to the production house for believing in the film. He reserved special praise for lead actress Ananthika Sanilkumar, highlighting her rare dedication and maturity.
“Ananthika never even brought up remuneration during our discussions. For a 17-year-old to make such a choice shows how deeply committed she is. That kind of passion is extraordinary,” said Phanindra.
He also offered a glimpse into the film’s unique narrative structure. “The story unfolds in reverse from the very first scene, so don’t be late to the theatre. Many asked why I didn’t opt for a commercial formula. But 8 Vasantalu goes beyond conventional love—it delivers a powerful emotional climax, especially during the fight sequence set in Varanasi.”
Ananthika Sanilkumar, who plays the character Shuddhi, shared her emotional connection with the film. “Though I’ve worked in a few films, 8 Vasantalu is on a different level. Shuddhi is a layered and strong character, and portraying her was truly a dream. I’m thankful to Phani sir and Mythri Movie Makers for this opportunity.”
The producers revealed that casting Ananthika came after a nationwide search. The role required someone adept in both classical dance and martial arts—skills she possessed in abundance.
With a blend of action, emotion, and artistry, 8 Vasantalu is shaping up to be a distinctive cinematic experience that promises to leave a lasting impact on audiences.
