Cool As Cucumber, Angry As Kaali

Share
Women are usually soft-natured and don’t lose their cool as easily as men. And this holds true to actress-turned-politician Roja. She was the leading lady for almost a decade and once she got married, she got into active politics.
Right now, she is a MLA and a judge on a popular television show. Usually, she is pretty chilled and has an easy-going nature. She thoroughly enjoys the show and makes sure that her comments don’t hurt the participants.
But when she is rubbed the wrong side, then she reminds one of the adage, hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. In fact, when she is angry and agitated, even seasoned politicians stay off her as she is known to give a complete show down during such times.
She says no matter how tough the going gets, she never sheds tears and keeps her self respect in tact. No wonder that she has been successful as a wife, actor and politician.

Hero Takes To Promoting Himself

Share
When you are in the top league, you don’t see the need to make any extra effort to promote yourself. But once you come a few steps down, you tend to be more media friendly and you are suddenly all over the place. Venkatesh has now reached this point in his career.
For many years, he was among the top five heroes in Telugu industry. At that time, he would maintain basic communication with media and would mostly talk about spiritualism. Then, he had a slew of flops and he was at the brink of being written off as a ‘has been’ hero.
Then, Drushyam happened and he bounced back to give one of the biggest hits of 2014. And this year, he opened his account with the multi-starrer Gopala Gopala. In fact, he is one actor who has stuck to his word and he has started working in multi-starrers.
Earlier, he acted with Mahesh and now he has worked with Pawan Kalyan. Of late, Venkatesh is also appearing on TV pretty often. Some time back, during the show held for Hud Hud relief, he stood out as the star participant. So, looks like Venkatesh is creating a new image to ensure he still has a long way to go.

Ex-MLA turns Fashion Designer!

Yesteryear Actress Jayasudha began her fourth innings now. She is a very successful actress during her prime and later turned in to character artist and scored brownie points there too. Up on the encouragement of former Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, she forayed in to politics and became MLA twice for Secunderabad.
She recently lost the election in 2014 and now settled with acting itself which she is doing very selectively. Also she totally distanced herself from politics after the loss. Jayasudha began a new innings by becoming a fashion designer.
She designed costumes for 30 Plus aged women and displayed her collection ‘J8 by Jayasudha’ in Hotel Taj Banjara. The expo which began on Monday will be completed today. Speaking on the occasion, Jayasudha told, “I have not done any fashion designing courses.
My experience as a woman and experience in films helped me in this collections”. It is said that there is good response for her collection. The response may prompt Jayasudha to open a boutique by herself. We will wind up by wishing her all the best.

What If ‘I’ & ‘GG’ got Hit talk?

Share
In just 9 days after its release, Pawan Kalyan and Venky’s latest movie “Gopala Gopala” directed by Kishore Pardsasany has amassed nearly 38 crores. Blasted by critics for its slow screenplay, Shankar and Vikram science fiction kind of revenge story “I” amassed nearly 71 crores share from all languages.
These happenings made the predictions of all critics and trade experts go for a toss. For Gopala Gopala and I, movie reviewers have vehemently confirmed that these two flicks are below-average content treats that will struggle at box office. Rather tumbling with these verdicts, both the movies have went on registering some record breaking collections.
We have to thank both audiences and holiday season for this amazing feat. Imagine, what would have happened if these two films got an instant hit talk? Trade experts feel that both Gopala Gopala and I would have become industry hits had they got such blockbuster response.
“Gopala Gopala would have easily amassed 50 crore share if it has got unanimous hit talk. Similarly I would have touched 120 crores share by now across the globe”, an analyst said. Probably, Jr NTR’s “Temper” missed this wonderful full-potential season. Otherwise he would have scored a career-best hit.

Why Mega Camp Is Revisiting Jagan?

Share
Apparently Mega Camp was not interested in handling the mantle of launching Varun Tej to director Puri Jagan even after listening to his narrations for a couple of times. Visibly upset Jagan immediately made that story as “Heart Attack” with Nitin and scored moderate success. And now that Varun Tej made his debut with the not so successful “Mukunda”, seems like Mega camp wants to do the damage control.
Puri Jagan is known for changing the body languages of heroes like Mahesh Babu, Raviteja, Prabhas and most recently Nitin too. He has already launched Megastar’s heir-apparent Ram Charan in style and successfully, as “Chirutha” made all those commercial aspects work at box office. Varun Tej however missed such a stylish launch as his “Mukunda” lacked pep though there are some philosophical dialogues taking over.
He is proved as a hero material but the film hasn’t had that commercial stamina to click at box office. Srikanth Addala’s lackluster story failed to evince any interest though Varun Tej fetched huge attention for the movie. After “Mukunda”, even Varun Tej felt like working with director Krish in yet another creative flick. But Mega camp biggies are quick to delay this project and bring back Puri Jagan again.
The main reason for this revisiting is to get Varun’s position cemented in Telugu industry as a commercial hero rather just pushing him as another hero from mega camp. Biggies want Varun to stand with the likes of Charan and Bunny and the only is to depend on top-shot directors like Puri Jagan. That’s the story folks.

Give Birth To More Kids: Naidu to Married Couples

Share
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, who had been supporting for family planning, made a huge turnabout as he has given an open calling for married couples to have “more” children. Taking everyone by surprise, Naidu made the above comments while speaking at a public gathering in West Godavari district.
Launching an 18-km padayatra from Velivennu of West Godavari to bring awareness on “Smart Village” and “Smart Ward”, CM said that AP would soon have “more aged” people than youngsters. Cautioning the people, he said, “Youngsters are not getting married early like before.
Even if they do, they do not have children as they want to buy time and enjoy their earnings before children are born. I appeal to them to have one or two kids more if possible.” Explaining further, Naidu said, “Although I vouched for family planning earlier and I myself confined my family to a son, I find that there is not much benefit to it now.
I see many aged people in our villages. I want our state to have more young people to develop it.” Mr Naidu has recently visited Japan and fearing that it’d take over AP and India in its youth power. Thus, Naidu alerted the couples to give birth to more children.

Nagarjuna Becomes Patient?

Share
What?? Nagarjuna became sick? Impossible! Yes, we know these are the reactions you would be getting after reading the headline. But there is some truth in it. Well, Nag is all set to become a patient albeit in reel life.
He would be seen essaying the role of a quadriplegic in a bilingual to be made in Telugu and Tamil. The film happens to be the remake of the famous French cinema ‘The Intouchables’ which revolves around the relationship between this patient and his caretaker.
So, you must be wondering who that caretaker is. He is none other than the Tamil star Karthi and the film is being produced by PVP Pictures. The man to wield the megaphone for this is Vamsi Paidipally, as per sources. Buzz is that major part of the shooting will take place in Dubai.
Over the years, Nag has shown his versatility through films like ‘Annamayya’ ‘Ramadasu’ ‘Shirdi Sai’ and this one is going to get further interesting.

R Narayana Murthy Said No to Jr NTR

Share
Seasoned hero R Narayana Murthy reportedly declined the plum role opposite Jr NTR in his upcoming film Temper. Considering his great rapport with director Puri Jagannadh, Puri said to have offered a significant role for Narayana Murthy to which the latter showed interest initially liking the role.
However, later Narayana Murthy gently turned down the offer citing that he’s more “comfortable” with off-beat cinema rather than “commercial” cinema. In fact, producer Bandla Ganesh apparently offered a fat pay cheque for Murthy but it has hardly any affect on him and the “Red Star” decided to go ahead with his decision to opt out of Temper.
Known for his work in films like Erra Sainyam, Cheemala Dandu, Errodu, Telugodu, Veera Telangana, Poru Telangana etc, Murthy has been inclined towards “rebellious” and “revolutionary” films which question the flaws in the system. At a time many actors after roles in commercial films, it’s surprising to see an actor turning down big offer for his commitment and principles. Kudos to Red Star.
