Akkineni Scion Akhil has finally started his debut project. The muhurtham of the film took place this morning in a very silent affair. We are told that the movie directed by VV Vinayak is a Fantasy Love Story. Damarukham fame Veligonda Srinivas penned the story. Even though the movie was launched today, the regular shooting of the movie will begin only in the second week of January. The makers are planning to start the film shooting amid fans.

VV Vinayak recently successfully launched Senior Producer Bellamkonda Suresh’s son, Bellamkonda Srinivas with Alludu Seenu. The film was a big hit and Nagarjuna wants Vinayak to do the same with his scion too. Nithin and his father Sudhakar Reddy will be producing this prestigious film. This is the first time ever Nithin producing a film. Akhil Akkineni is familiar to Telugu Audience with his Sisindri movie as a Child Artist and later with his fabulous performance in Star Cricket Matches. 

Akhil went on rigorous training in dances and acting in the last 2 years. He is also being trained in Taikwandoo to deliver the best of the stunts. He recently played a few minutes cameo in Akkineni Family Multistarer Manam and was greeted to thunderous response by fans and as well as normal audience.

Mahesh devoted time from his busy shooting schedules and attended his son Gautam Krishna’s school event. He was seen finding out answers from Gautam for the queries in the question paper. 

Even Gautam enjoyed interacting with his dad. Mahesh is currently busy starring in Koratala Shiva’s direction along with Shruti Hasan.

Pawan Kalyan’s political entry ahead of 2014 General elections is nothing short of filmy. Right from announcing his political party Janasena to launching an aggressive political campaign to his powerful speeches to moving dialogues and above all taking on KCR, Kavitha and YS Jagan have set political atmosphere ablaze. Be it sharing stage with Narendra Modi or rallying for Chandrababu Naidu or vouching for TDP-BJP combine, Pawan has been the news maker in 2014 although he has no releases this year after last year’s blockbuster Attarintiki Daaredi.

Soon after the elections, his Janasena has gone into hibernation mode and reports stated that he parted ways with his friend Raju Ravitej who was instrumental in formulating the ideology of Janasena and its ISM. Stuck with his films, Pawan Kalyan is taking more time to establish his party giving more scope for people to point fingers at him.  

A writer based out of Telangana, Boggula Srinivas, has now come up with a book titled “Pawan Kalyan Hatao-Politics Bachao”. He has sought protection from Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy as the book will be in display in the book exhibition in NTR Stadium from Dec 17 to Dec 26. T-Home Minister, naturally, is all out to support the writer. This news of controversial book on Pawan Kalyan has caught his fans and the star himself off guard.

Actress Pooja Hedge will be seen as traditional girl in upcoming Mukunda which marks the debut of Varun Tej, son of actor-producer Naga Babu. I’d love to play modern girl on screen and I’m pretty sure that I could pull it off with ease.” 

Giving a peep into the film, Pooja shares, “I play the role of a middle-class girl who gives utmost importance to Indian culture and tradition. Rao Ramesh is seen as my father in the film and the complete story revolves around my character.” 

Talking about her Bollywood debut where she is going to romance superstar Hrithik Roshan and acclaimed director Ashutosh Gowariker, Pooja is keeping her fingers crossed. “I’ve allotted bulk dates for the film and hasn’t signed anything in Telugu or any other language. At the moment, my complete focus is on my Bollywood debut and will think about other projects only after wrapping up this film.”

Yesteryear actress-director Vijaya Nirmala has broken down on stage on Tuesday during her felicitation organised by Telangana Stree Sakthi organisation at Ravindra Bharati. And no, they’re not “happy” tears. Vijaya Nirmala was quite upset as there were neither guests nor audiences present. The event was supposed to be attended by Telangana deputy CM Rajaiah and Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy but both gave the event a miss. 

Adding to it, the crowd present was hardly ten in number in the auditorium. Bursting into tears, Vijaya Nirmala openly expressed. “Since my childhood, I’ve been felicitated several times but I’ve never seen before such very little attendance. I started my career as an actor at the age of seven and I was felicitated then several times, and many used to come to encourage me. An award, felicitation is an encouragement to any actor/actress. 

I thank you all as at least you’re present. This is my second award from Telangana government and I’m saddened for the poor response for the Telangana Stree Sakthi Awards. I’m happy that at least you’ve come.” She added that she had spoken only not to disappoint the “little” crowd present over there. Vijaya Nirmala’s blunt speech stunned the event organisers and she walked away without receiving the award.

There’s no wonder that none other than ace director Shankar heaped praises on actor Vikram and called him as “Mr Steel” for his dedication and commitment. Vikram’s rigorous efforts in method acting where he mould himself and his body for his roles in films have been heavily acclaimed. Especially, the way he transforms his body to suit the roles has been lauded.

In the film, Vikram essays the character called ‘Lingesan’, who considers Arnold Schwarzenegger as a role model and his only aim in life is to win the Mr. Tamil Nadu title. Shankar had crafted the hair style of Vikram by taking the front curl look of the younger Arnold Schwarzenegger as a reference. 

As per director Shankar, among all get-ups in the film, the hunchbacked man character was the most difficult one to sketch. Vikram was confirmed to sport his hunchbacked get-up in most parts of the film.The bubbles observed on the character’s face were reported to be designed by Weta. Vikram also went bald for the film to change his looks in the film easier. 

The combo of Shankar and Vikram who did a Box Office wonder with Aparachitudu (Anniyan in Tamil) earlier are now planning to repeat the magic with “I” which is all set for release on Jan 9. Billed to be a romantic thriller, Amy Jackson plays a model and Vikram’s love-interest in the film. It has music by AR Rahman and the VFX of the film is said to be top-notch. Definitely, I is the film to watch out for.
