Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi described the Presidential order of 1950 limiting Scheduled Caste status to Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists as ‘communal’. He demanded SC Status to Minorities but Government rejected the proposal straight away. 

Owaisi questioned how could SC Status could be limited to just three religions. He dubbed it as violation of right to equality and discrimination against Muslims & Christians. The Majlis Head pointed out Rangnath Misra Commission recommending SC Status to be made religion-neutral.

Social Justice Minister Thavar Chand Gehlot made it clear Owaisi’s proposal can’t be accepted because dalits could only be Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists as per constitutional provisions. He also informed SC Status to Muslims and Christians would encurage religious coversions.

Congress MLA N Uttam Kumar Reddy has strongly condemned the criticism of ruling TRS against the Congress party. Participating in the debate on Appropriation Bill in the State Legislative Assembly on Friday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that it was wrong to blame Congress for everything. “It was the Congress party which gave 54 per cent share in power to Telangana and also sanctioned 4,000 MW power plant to the new State,” he said adding that other power plants which are nearing completion were started by the then Congress party. 

He claimed that the Congress party gave a major sacrifice by granting statehood to Telangana. He said that the Congress party gave a strong legislation in the shape of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act which empowered the Telangana State to protect its rights and fight against injustices with neighbouring States. Uttam Kumar Reddy blamed the TRS Government for suicide of farmers and said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should have alerted the farmers about the power situation in advance so as to minimise their losses during Khariff. 

He demanded that the Chief Minister should made advance announcement on the number of hours for which power could be supplied to farmers during Rabi season. Describing the budget figures are unrealistic, the Congress MLA said that the budget should have been of about Rs 75,000 crore and not over Rs 1 lakh crore. He said there was no clarity how the government would mobilise revenues to implement its schemes.

After a long time, the wife of late N T Rama Rao and one of the controversial politicians, Smt. Lakshmi Parvathy has written an emotional letter to the Telangana CM and TRS boss KCR. In the letter, she has reportedly asked KCR to investigate the elements, which were behind the death of NTR in 1995-96. She has also asked him to book the culprits. 

Sources reveal she urged KCR not to oppose the renaming of Shamshabad’s domestic terminal with NTR’s name and said that she hopes the CM of Telangana respects the sentiments associated with the former CM. It is interesting to see Lakshmi Parvathy suddenly hog limelight after becoming a behind the scenes leader after merging her so-called political party into Jagan’s YSRCP. 

It is more interesting that she had written a letter to KCR. The political observers say this is a great opportunity for her to gain some mileage out of it if she takes a strong stand. But what has to be seen is if KCR is going to really lend an ear to her plea. The coming days will reveal the answer to that.

Telangana TDP senior leader and Palakurthi MLA Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao made a strange yet filmy 

style comment today speaking in the Assembly. The TRS members did not allowed TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy to speak in the State Legislative Assembly even on Friday. Revanth Reddy wanted to raise some issue during Zero Hour. 

However, the members of treasury benches raised objection and created furor. Devastated with behavior of TRS leaders on his counterpart Errabelli slammed the TRS leaders including speaker.He went on comparing TRS leaders with Kauravas and said that TDP leaders are Pandavas. He took down on the KCR led TRS government, and said that for no mistake of theirs (TDP) they had to face ‘Aranyavaas’ for the last 10 years. 

Errabelli also said that their party will serve ‘Agnathvaasam’ for the coming five years. Not stopping with that he went on comparing Revanth as Arjuna and said that Kauravas are fearing with Arjuna in Assembly. He said that the TRS MLAs are fearing with allegations of Revant whenever an opportunity comes to Revanth to address in the assembly. 

Errabelli also slammed speaker for not giving an opportunity to express TDP view on discussion in hall. May be Errabelli himself feeling like Dharmaraju and he should also tell who is Sakuni and who is Dronacharya.
