No NTR, then No Rajiv Gandhi!

Share
The decision by the Union civil aviation ministry for naming the domestic terminal at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad after the late N T Rama Rao has already triggered a fight in the Telangana assembly on Friday which finally passed a resolution that urged the Centre to maintain status quo.
Some members have reportedly slammed this decision as cultural invasion by the Seemandhra leaders and a resolution was passed since it was done without consulting the Telangana state government. KCR stated Telangana had suffered immensely due to cultural invasion from Seemandhra and added how unfortunately even after the bifurcation, the Centre wants to name the domestic terminal of the airport, ignoring late PM P V Narasimha Rao, Komaram Bheem and others.
However, the TDP’s floor leader E Dayakar Rao said that if NTR is not from Telangana and his name cannot be not given the airport, then the same principle should also apply to Rajiv Gandhi, who is definitely not from Telangana. The leader said that if there should be no name of NTR, then even Rajiv’s name shouldn’t be there!

CBN “Akarsh Mantra” creates political disturbances in both YSRCP and TDP camps in Kurnool district. TDP plans to implement “Akarsh” programme against YSRCP 6 months after the general elections. YSRCP Nandhyala SPY Reddy and Kurnool MP Renuka’s husband Neelakantam have already joined in TDP. It seems that other YSRCP MLAs might follow them within few days.
Some of the former leaders of TDP who joined in Congress and YSRCP have interested to join in TDP in the district. YSRCP has won 11 Assembly out of 14 in the district. KE Krishna Murthy won Pattikonda Assembly and became Deputy Chief Minister of the state. TDP leader’s domination continued after KE’s victory in the district. CBN ordered the officials for immediate respond to solve the issues raised by TDP in charges than YSRCP MLAs.
Knowing this inconvenience, YSRCP MLAs thought to join in TDP. Reportedly, Nandikotkur YSRCP MLA is looking towards TDP. 5 YSRCP MLAs from Kurnool and Nandhyala Parliament Segments are in touch with NTR Trust Bhavan. TDP leaders are trying to convince existing TDP in charges before YSRCP MLAs enter into the party.

Share
Well, yes Modi has got a plan for everything he does for the country. The United States of America, President Barak Obama is invited to preside over the Republic Day ceremony for the very first time. It seems he will be the chief guest on the ceremony. This kind of relationship between the USA and India is truly a positive sign of development and safety during any kind of emergency in the country.
In the past, Modi being Gujarat CM has been rejected with visas but after Modi became the PM, Obama himself invited him to the USA. Well, Modi seems to be believing about the power that USA is got and seems banking on it with good terms. However the news was tweeted by Modi : “This Republic Day, we hope to have a friend over…invited President Obama to be the 1st US President to grace the occasion as Chief Guest.”
However, Obama’s acceptance of invitation has been confirmed on twitter:”President Obama will meet w/ @narendramodi and Indian officials to strengthen and expand the U.S.-#India strategic partnership”. Surprisingly, Obama is the first president of USA to attend the Republic Day celebrations.

Late Recognition for Rajinikanth?

Share
Reacting on Rajinikanth being conferred with Centenary Award for 2014 at the 45th International Film Festival of India in Goa, Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee lamented that it’s a “very late recognition” for Rajini. “Rajinikanth is such a big star, and the contribution that he has made to Indian cinema is also huge.
I think the award has come really late,” Manoj said mincing no words on the dais of IFFI setting tongues wagging. Although such reactions are common, usually they’re made off the dais and shared with media on different occasion but speaking on the dais of the same occasion, certainly Manoj embarrassed many.
Also, Manoj broke another myth that North-stars usually don’t encourage South-stars. With a statement saying that “it’s very late recognition” for Rajini, Manoj also won the hearts of Rajini’s fans.
