Chandrababu Naidu has called on his Karnataka counterpart Siddaramaiah on Monday in Bangalore. The Chief Ministers of neighbouring states not just confined to exchange of smiles, but they also exchanged special gifts to one another. While, Chandrababu presented Siddaramaiah with an image of an idol from Tirupati, Siddaramaiah placed a traditional Mysore turban on Naidu’s head.
Meanwhile, both Naidu and Siddaramaiha said to have discussed over the modernisation of the irrigation canals of the Tungabhadra reportedly to put an end to the loss of 30 tmcs of water. AP has already completed modernisation of the 80-km stretch of the canal that runs in its area, whereas Karnataka is yet to upgrade the remaining 115- km long stretch in its territory, causing silting of the dam and canals and loss of around 30 tmc ft water through leaks.
Although both Naidu and Siddaramaiah said to have ‘decided’ to knock the doors of Tunghabadra Water Board, Siddaramiah wants to take it up with technical sub-committee prior to approaching Tungabhadra board.

Major Hurdle for Expansion of Gannavaram Aiport

Share
Setting the record straight, Union Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has made it clear that the expansion of Gannavaram airport “can’t move” further unless required land is gathered. Stressing the need for land acquisition, Ashok Gajapathi Raju said, “The terminal at Gannavaram is so small that it can only accommodate maximum 3 air flights. Usually, a medium airport would accommodate at least 12 air flights in its terminal. Also, the parking lot in Gannavaram is small which would create greater discomfort for the passengers in years to come.
Keeping all this mind, we’re mulling over to have land acquisition in order to expand the airport.” Talking about the privatization of Air India, Gajapathi Raju said, “As of now, there are no plans to privatize the Air India. In future, it may be privatized.” Meanwhile Gajapathi Raju said that Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Pawan Hans is listed on stock exchange. He said that the move is aimed at improvising transparency and efficiency. Raju has unveiled a new draft policy on civil aviation and it is expected to come into force by early January after approved by Union Cabinet.

Anushka’s BF Blows Kiss to Her

Anushka Sharma is on cloud nine as her rumoured boyfriend Virat Kohli not just broken ODI records and scored fastest 6000 runs, he in fact blew kiss to her who is witnessing the match from the pavilion. Virat achieved this rare feat by beating former West Indian legend Vivian Richards’s record. Kohli achieved the feat against Sri Lanka on Sunday, after he struck a well made 53 runs.
While Richards took 156 matches and 141 innings to reach the milestone in 1989, Virat achieved it in his 144th match and 136th innings. Kohli, who needed just 50 runs to broke Richards record, made it happen against Sri Lanka on Sunday. Soon after reaching 50, Kohli sent a flying kiss gesture with the bat to his ‘lady love’ Anushka Sharma who was there in stands. Virat was out for 53 and thus scored 6003 runs in his cricket career so far.
The 26-yr-old Virat also happens to be the captain of the team. Interestingly, Kohli’s first ODI match was against Sri Lanka ( Aug 2008) and now he achieved this feat also against Sri Lanka. It took six years for Virat to reach 6000 milestone at an impressive ODI average of 51.29 with the help of 20 centuries and 32 half centuries. He’s the 8th Indian to reach the milestone and 47th worldwide. Great going Kohli. Anushka seems to be Kohli’s lucky mascot.

The one name that is ringing in the minds of many cine buffs is ‘Interstellar’. This flick from Hollywood has stirred the Indian audience as well and those who haven’t seen are asking what is there in it. Well, here is the general pulse of the movie. Though it is a sci-fi flick, the underlying strong emotion is love which transcends time and space.
Some are tagging it as director Christopher Nolan’s most sentimental film. While a lot has focused on Quantum Physics and Theory of Relativity, it is the emotional and sentiment quotient which is blended with science and technology that creates a whole new experience.
Some of the most rational concepts of science have been converted into something entertaining. Above all, ‘Interstellar’ point out the strength of survival instinct of humans. And more so because they are bounded by their love for near and dear. All in all, a masterpiece of sci-fi with the right feel and soul.

Allarodu is Back with Bommali

Allari Naresh, who is fondly called as “Allarodu”, is back with a bang with his recent offing ‘Brother of Bommali’. Despite mixed reviews, the movie opened to packed theatres and running successfully. Especially, the movie is being received well by the audiences of B and C centres at the ticket windows which is a breather for the Comic star.
Although Naresh worked hard, few of his films like Laddu Babu failed to meet the audiences’ expectations at Box Office. Yet it didn’t deter Naresh. With his comic-tinge, trademark style mannerisms, histrionics, witty one-liners, dialogue modulation have all worked in favour of the film and Naresh yet again tickled the funny bone of audiences.
Naresh who kick started his career with Allari, never looked-back after its success and is riding high with the back-to-back films. In a career spanning over 12 years, Naresh has successfully acted in 47 films so far (including Bommali) and is all set to reach milestone of “50” very soon. Needless to say that the latest success of Bommali acts as a boost to Naresh.

Telangana knocks on Supreme Court’s Doors

Share
The government of Telangana is swiftly making its moves against the recent order of Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to use only 3 TMC (one thousand million cubic feet) limit. T-government has knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the order of Brijesh Kumar Tribunal Award and sought fresh hearing by Tribunal to decide the legitimate share of Krishna waters for Telangana.
The Telangana government on Monday filed a petition for the same in the Apex court. However, as a bench headed by Justice Sudhansu Jyoti Mukhopadhaya and Justice N.V. Ramana gently recused itself from hearing the petition, it will now be referred to another bench to decide on the admissibility. Seeking a stay, T-govt. alleged that the undivided AP government did not argue issues related to the Telangana properly before the Tribunal.
On flip side, government of AP is retaliating the allegations and claims made by Telangana government. It instead took on T-government and said it’s ready for the legal battle. It may be recalled that KCR has lashed out at KRMB chairman SKG Pandit and went on to the extent of abusing him as “mindless nincompoop” (“Sannasi”) which received severe flak as this is seen as first-ever direct attack on the head of a Constitutional Body.

T-Assembly passes resolution against AP

Share
The Legislative Assembly of Telangana on Monday passed a resolution unanimously finding fault with the government of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana legislators alleged that the government of Andhra Pradesh is “violating” and “flouting” the AP Reorganization Act 2014. The irony is that the legislators of Telangana TDP too gave their consent to the resolution “admitting” that their own chief Chandrababu Naidu who is the incumbent Chief Minister of AP is “acting” against the “benefits” of Telangana.
Although Revanth Reddy, initially raised concerns against “inclusion” of the word “government of AP” in the resolution, KCR later clarified on the same that the movie is “not to target TDP politically but his target is the government of AP”. TRS, Congress and MIM legislators “blamed” the government of Andhra Pradesh is “behind” the “power crisis” and “woes of farmers” in Telangana. KCR alleged that Andhra Pradesh government “denied 980 MW power”. KCR clarified that he is not “fighting against” TDP but made it clear that “fighting against government of AP”. KCR claimed that “Telangana state bound to get 53.89% of power”.

The romantic love story of the both most happening celebs Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, seems to be making their public display of emotions. During the ODI between Srilanka and India held yesterday in the Uppal Stadium Hyderbad, we witnessed the kissing ceremony. This happened immediately when he hit a 50 runs and threw Anushka a kiss with his bat and she was blushing and seems to be on Cloud nine.
Well, this is surely a romantic gesture by a boy friend to his girl friend but Virat surely broke many girl fans hearts by this kiss to his girl friend. However, this was the same match when even CM KCR has overwhelmed with his kiss on Ambati Rayudu’s hand because he was playing in his home ground. This gesture surely shocked Rayudu as well and even amazed the fans. KCR also told that he wanted another Telangana born player to be in the international team soon.

‘Thank God, I Acted At Peak Time’

When the radios were in vogue, it was the golden era for cinema says character artiste Kota Srinivasa Rao. Later, when television happened, it became a bane for the industry says he. “During our time, a lot of plays would be staged frequently. Since I loved performing, I would work in a bank by day and do plays on weekends and after work. Films are like unreachable grapes for all of us. Though I was capable of doing all kinds of roles on stage and proved my talent over and over, I could never imagine that my face would suit films.
However, late T Krishna gave me the big break with Pratighatana. I made my entry at a time when the industry boasted of good writer and directors. I could do a variety of roles and thoroughly enjoyed my stint.” Said Kota. “The actors had a healthy competitive spirit back then. I still get good roles once in a while. But I am relegated to working with Bollywood villains who have meatier roles. That is indeed sad, but then there is a severe dearth of good writers today,” says Kota recollecting good old times.
