According to trade rumours, yet again, Gen x actor Manchu Manoj draws a good day1 collections and establishes his drawing prowess as it reportedly clocked Rs 3.5 crore plus (Nizam 1.10, Andhra 1.15, Ceded 65 laksh and others 70 lakhs) and holds interest with his electrifying performance. Sunny’s sizzling act and Rakul charisma are added attraction to this Tamil remake. But slow-paced second half not matching up to the racy first half might be the dampener, claims trade circles. “Manchu Manoj has always drawn huge openings even for his earlier films like “Potugadu” and “Mr.Nookayya” and has done it again” says a distributor. We have to see, how it fares in coming days since Manchu has to carry the rural love story single-handedly on his well-built shoulders. 

Another surprise hit of the season is mystic entertainer “Karthikeya” and has given another hit to actor Nikhil. Even though, film release got postponed but finally director Chandoo’s gripping tale around mysterious around a temple, has worked big. Its first week collections reportedly crossed 4.5 crore mark (Nizam 1.60, Andhra 1.30 and Ceded 50 lakhs and overseas and others 1 crore plus) and now it has to withstand the competition of mass entertainer “Current Theega” in B and C centres. Nevertheless, it’s a path-breaking film in T-town. “It showed that Telugu audience love watching fresh themes” says a distributor.

Producer Sai Korapati breaks even with his latest small budget film “Dikkulu..” and recovered more than 2.85 crores of his investment of 2.75 crore but the experimental film has been lost to other big-ticket films and ejected out of theatres.

Yes, according to sources Pawan is having a serious problem with his scripts as of now. His image has tremendously change from a star to more than it. He is a good human with much original emotions and down to earth attitude. The problem is that he has been doing entertainers so far and nothing related to some social issue.

The teaser of this year’s most-awaited film Lingaa is finally out to a thunderous response from Superstar’s fans all over across the globe. The 30-second-odd teaser lived up to the film’s hype. Of course, Rajinikanth’s arresting personality as Lingaa is one of the big assets for the teaser, film.

Amid rumours that Allu Sirish’s next film would be “based” on a Hollywood film, sources close to Kotha Janta star came out in open and denied them as “baseless” rumours. Responding to rumours, sources clarified that neither director Maruthi nor writer Sreedhar Seepana are related to project. 

“Sirish’s next film has been confirmed. We have locked the script. An official statement with more details will be revealed within a week,” said a source. After tasting mixed success with romantic comedy Kotha Janta, Sirish seems to have become more “choosy” while picking up projects this is said to be have caused delay.

Director Sampath has literally waited for 3 years to director Powerstar Pawan Kalyan but things never worked in his favor. Time and again, the director kept updating media that in a couple of weeks “Gabbar Singh 2” will go on floors. However, he has finally accepted that Pawan’s movie is just a dream and he is moving onto next. 

Updating about his upcoming movie, Samapth confirmed today that he is going to direct Mass Raja Raviteja once the star-hero wraps up his ‘Kick 2’ under Surender Reddy’s direction. After delivering a hit like ‘Racha’ in 2011, this will be the next film for this mega director who rose to huge fame when he was roped as director by Pawan for the second edition of his cop saga. 

Sampath hasn’t explained the reasons behind his dropping out from Gabbar Singh 2 or the complete shelving of GS2, but expressed confidence that he will score blockbuster with Raviteja. We hear that other cast including heroines, technicians and also producer needs to be finalized for Raviteja-Sampath project.

Young Hero Sundeep Kishan is on a roll with back to back hits Venkatadri Express and Rara Krishnayya. He is hoping to continue the successful streak with Joru, which is all set to hit the marquee on November 7th. The film has been cleared by the Censor Board with an A certificate. Joru is carrying very good reports among the film circles. 

The buzz around the film has gone up after completing the Censor Formalities. Joru is a wholesome entertainer with loads of commercial elements. Three beautiful heroines Rashi Khanna, Priya Banarjee and Sushma Raj are surely grabbing eyeballs. Brahmanandam played a pivotal role in this movie and is said to be the biggest asset of the film.
