If donating a cow (Go Daanam) or marrying off a girl (Kanya Daanam) is considered the greatest virtues in religious beliefs, the science and rationalist perspective is that Blood donation (Rakta Daanam) is the most precious and supreme. True to that, few film biggies of Tollywood keep doing their bit. 

One such entity is the NTR Trust which has a blood bank and recently they came up with an ad that touched the hearts of many. Depicting two pairs of eyes of a woman and marking one pair with a drop of blood, the caption reads ‘Makes all the Difference’. It goes to show how even a single drop can change the lives of others. 

The blood bank has been operating 24 X 7 and the ad has conveyed the essence in a very deep manner. The health experts have also reiterated that doing blood donation once in six months is very good for the body. This initiative from NTR Trust has created an impact for sure. Donate blood folks and experience the difference and happiness.

Actor-director Prakash Raj is on cloud nine not because of the stupendous success of his recent film Govindudu Andarivadele but his daughter Pooja proved her singing prowess. Ms Pooja Prakash Raj has enthralled one and all with one of the most popular singles of American rock band ‘Death Cab for Cutie’ – “I Will Follow You into the Dark”.

Actress Shweta Basu Prasad has been sent to state rehabilitation home for a three-month term after she was caught in a prostitution racket last month from a top five star hotel in Hyderabad. But now unknown influential elements are putting tremendous pressure on authorities demanding her release from the rehabilitation centre to make sure that she does not leak their names.

Many big guns in Tollywood, politics and business are afraid that if Shweta continues for a longer period in the centre, their names will be revealed and they are trying their level best to release her as early as possible. Section 17 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, directs such ‘victims’ to be rehabilitated for a period of not less than one year but Court ordered Shweta to be in state home for three months which is fuelling controversy that some influential people want her out at the earliest. 

Shweta as a child artist has won national award and has won accolades for her performance in her first Telugu movie.Shweta for now is spending time teaching music and English to young children in the state home.

Before the release of “Karthikeya” he has thrown a surprise by pasting posters at movie theaters that will supposedly play this movie. And now, he is seen selling tickets at box office. Visiting many theaters which are playing Karthikeya in and around Hyderabad city, Nikhil took it to counters to sell tickets of his movie. At Sriramulu theatre, he is seen issuing tickets against money. That’s the spirit folks!

Fans of Trisha are wondering whether their dream girl lacks the basic intelligence of hot anchor Anasuya? It is known that Anasuya some time back shocked everyone by rejecting offers from Gunasekhar, Trivikram Srinivas and even Power Star Pawan Kalyan. She refused to sizzle in a special song in Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster film Attarintiki Daaredi.

Success given by ‘Legend’ is still unforgettable for Nandamuri Balakrishna as he has extended that streak into politics too by winning MLA seat from Hindupur on Telugudesam ticket. However fans are waiting for this mass-action hero to return to silver screen as soon as possible with his next flick. Here goes a tidbit about it. 

Numerous titles are being heard when it comes this action flick where Balakrishna plays the role of a honest CBI cop. ‘Lion’ is the title under consideration if we have to believe the unit members. Earlier this flick was supposedly titled as ‘Godse’ but later Balayya pulled it out due to the negativity surrounding that name. Already ‘Simha’ and ‘Legend’ are two big hits for Balayya and both of them have this lion connection somewhere either in logo design or a weapon used. 

Seems like newcomer director Satyadeva is keen to repeat that sentiment for his debut too. Already this flick completed two big schedules of shoot despite the fact that our Hindupur MLA was injured half way through the shoot. Latest Vizag schedule got supposedly delayed due to ongoing Hudhud relief works. For the first time, dusky beauty Trisha is paired opposite Balayya in this movie.

Sparking a fresh controversy against the much controversial “Kathhi” that is facing troubles since its inception, leading political party DMK has now filed a defamation suit against hero Vijay, director AR Murugadoss and production house Lyca Productions. 

A petitioner on behalf of the party claimed that Vijay and his men insulted DMK’s leading leaders by making references to the yet to be settled ‘2G Scam’. It is known that a couple of top brass from DMK including former ministers Karunandhi’s Kanimozhi and ex-minister A Raja’s names are heard in the infamous 2G scam that took place during UPA regime.

As Vijay utters a dialogue in the movie “If 2G scam is proved it court..”, the petitioner felt that it insults Indian Judiciary too and demanded strict action against the three. Released as Diwali treat on 22 October, Kaththi is breaking records in Tamilnadu by amassing nearly 23.45 crores on first day itself across the globe. 

Approximately 36 crores was raked in at first weekend in Kollywood alone, while overseas market might contribute 10+crores easily. Before release, it was accused that Kaththi producers have links with SriLanka president and now this fresh trouble erupted.
