Responding to rumours that SS Rajamouli was “hurt” after the success of Magadheera as he was not given due credit for the film’s success, Ram Charan has expressed shock and said, “It didn’t come to my notice. Actually, I heard that he alone walked away with credit. That apart, the film’s success would not have been possible without Rajamouli garu. Without him, I would not have got such success and image with that film. I’ve told this in many of my previous interviews as well. He is like Shankar of Telugu cinema. At a time Tollywood was wondering whether we could have a director like Shankar, then Rajamouli garu came.” 

“Rajamouli is not a director but he is a great visionary. I’ve utmost respect for him. He always set goals. Though sometimes budget would soar, but he was always successful,” added Charan in his TV interview.
