With just two very moderate hits, actor Sumanth Ashwin is reportedly demanding more than 75 laksh for his next film, leaving producers in a tizzy. The son of lavish producer M S Raju, seems to have miscalculated his ‘success’ and believing that he has pulled off hits average grossers like “Anthaka Mundu…” and “Lovers” but it was stronger story in the former and comedy of Sapthagiri in the later, that saved the day for the young actor. 

But Tuniga actor wrongly believes that it was his name that spelt box office magic, so its better for him, to be a charging moderate pay cheque, instead of jumping the gun. 

After working with superstars like Pawan Kalyan and NTR and now Ram Charan Tej, many were shocked when leading producer Bandla Ganesh lent his name for a flop actor Sachiin. But industry source reveals the secret behind it, and adds ‘Telugu produer has reportedly stuck a 30-crore deal and invested that money in “Govindudu¦” and his other big film with NTR-Puri Jagannath, so he is helping Sachin to get good scripts and has his team to scout for interesting script” source adds. 

As a sign of gratitude for his investments, Ganesh has instructed his team to discover ‘unique scripts’ to give a much-needed break for the beleaguered actor. Rich guys, do get support, what you say guys? 

Legendary Director Mani Ratnam tried his best to rope in Mahesh Babu in his next film. Despite making multiple attempts Mani Ratnam couldn’t get the dates of Mahesh Babu. Even though Nagarjuna readily accepted to be a part of that film, Mahesh didn’t approve the subject for reasons best known to him.  

Later Mani Ratnam tried for the dates of other heroes too. Rumor has it that Mani Ratnam tried to rope in Charan and Arjun, but that too didn’t materialize. Mani Ratnam has finally given up on that multi starrer and is planning to do a romantic drama as his next. If the sources are to be believed, Mani Ratnam’s next would be a remake of his classic Mouna Ragam.

Mani Ratnam roped in Dulquar Rahman (Mammootty’s son) and Nithya Menen for this film. Dulquar is making waves in Malayalam film industry and Nithya is a well known actress in all South Indian languages. Mani Ratnam is planning to make this film in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam as per the buzz. 

Colossal disaster ‘Rabhasa’ is giving rise to a new rumor each day. Dismal performance of this flick at box office will be exerting huge pressure on hero NTR for sure, but that doesn’t mean he will divert that towards his other directors. Here goes the rumour and the clarity.
 
Yesterday few media houses have started promoting that NTR’s latest ‘Nenorakm’ (tentative title) under Puri Jagan’s direction has come to a staggering halt. Citing creative differences between the two, a report stated that until producer Bandla Ganesh returns from his foreign trip, there is no way this flick could take off. Ganesh is busy in London at the moment where Charan’s Govindudu is being filmed.
 
Quashing all these rumours, Ganesh released a press note that fresh schedule of NTR-Puri’s film will be kick-started from September 10th. Unit members confirmed that first schedule was done, and the output just stunned everyone. So, say bye to all rumours folks! 

Leaving Tollywood in a saddened state, artistic filmmaker Bapu’s sudden demise invigorated the ‘magic’ of Trivikram as this happening director shares his thoughts about the former. As our Julayi director got some time to spent with Bapu during his Athadu days, he shared a good rapport with the legend from that time.
 
When Trivikram was busy filming Athadu, Bapu-Ramana are staying in Hyderabad in a rented flat in the very same apartment complex of Trivikram to direct their TV serial ‘Sri Bhagavatham’. ‘Bapu is a great thinker. He is a genius. Never wasted his energy in words and used it progressively and extensively in his art-works and movies’, says Trivikram, after spending many evenings with Bapu at that time.
 
‘Bapu has drawn lakhs of cartoons in his lifetime, apart from his work as creative head in ad agencies and drawing story boards for films and serials. Hard work and discipline ensured this success. Also Bapu and Ramana are close to each other for 66 years without any issues. They lived simple and never complicated it’, he adds. Coming to treatment meted to Bapu, Trivikram has come down heavily on Government.
 
‘Bapu revived everything from publishing, printing, colors, cartoons and filmmaking. Decades back he exposed a negative for 27 times with drawings made out of chalk-piece. In that way he created a flowing Ganga river scene for ‘Seeta Kalyanam’. But government treated him badly. At least they should have conferred Padma Vibhushan for the services Bapu rendered to film industry. Even that Padmasri was awarded very late, just last year’, an emotionally angered Trivikram shared. ‘That’s the biggest joke, a cartoon drawn by government on the master of cartoons’. 

Leakage of personal pictures stored on mobile phones and online cloud storage servers has created panic in Hollywood circles. Even noted Telugu heroines are also upset with his happening, as they fear about getting hacked and falling prey is just steps away.

What if all those pictures get leaked? I can’t imagine’, a ‘charming’ heroine shared. All the villains in the film are going to dance for a song. Mukesh Rishi, Sampath Raj, Posani will be seen shaking their legs along with Brahmi in this song which the movie unit says will be a major highlight of the film. Power has completed its Censor formalities on Wednesday and received ‘A’ certificate.

The movie is all set to release worldwide on September 12th. Ravi Teja will be seen in a dual role in the film and one of which is a Police officer. Sensational Tamil director Shankar may be directing Superstar Mahesh Babu very soon. The sensational director recently attended the audio release of Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu as Chief Guest. Producers at 14 Reels Entertainments have brought Shankar on a special chartered flight to the audio function. It is said that there is a big plan behind all this. It is said that 14 Reels Entertainments Production house have initiated things for a project in the combination of Mahesh Babu and Shankar.

They reportedly offered Shankar a free hand for an unlimited budget project. According to reliable insider sources, Shankar and Mahesh Babu agreed in principal for the project and will very soon sit for the project discussion. Shankar is currently busy with post production of his next Manoharudu. He will begin the work of this project after Manoharudu release. Our readers may be aware that Mahesh Babu was supposed to star in the remake of 3 Idiots under the direction of Shankar few years ago.

Srinu Vaitla is known for using current hot topics in his film in various ways to create rib-tickling. One such comedy scene is Padma Sri SMS request in Dookudu. the immensely popular scene was a spoof of a popular TV show then anchored by Omkar. And now Srinu Vaitla has employed similar tactics in his upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, Aagadu.

It is said that there is a spoof in the movie where Nagarjuna’s hugely popular Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu TV show in the movie. In that particular scene, Mahesh Babu sits in the ‘hot seat’ and questions someone. A source in a movie unit tell us that this scene is not a satirical scene about the TV show and will be a super hit with the audience. The shooting of the film is currently in the last leg.

The makers are making all efforts to release the movie on September 19th. The recently released theatrical trailer of the film has got tremendous response and increased the expectations on the film. The movie is very special for the music director Thaman as it is his 50th movie. Srinu Vaitla had employed new writers for this movie after his regular writers Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan parted ways from him after Baadshah. So it will be a litmus test for him as well to prove that his success is solely due to his work.

Probably ‘Mary Kom’ has much more better chances because Priyanka is a bigger star than those both. September 5th is the release date, and there is no stiff opposition for his beauty even at Telugu box office. 

Trade circles are expecting Priyanka to collect at least 5 Crores from Telugu box office with its Hindi version. Also at Hindi box office, there are neither big releases nor running flicks that could hamper the chances of Mary Kom. Already the flick got tax exemption from Maharashtra government, and 100 crores club is the target of it. 

Director Lawrence who is currently busy with Muni 3 is going to make a crazy venture as his next. He is going to show two films on one ticket. He is combining two films into one and will release it as one feature film. Audience will have to pay for one film and get to see two movies.     

Both these films will have runtime of 1 hour 20 minutes and Lawrence will play lead roles in both the movies. One of the films is titled Musalodu and the other one is called The Latest. Andrea is playing female lead in Musalodu and Lakshmi Rai will do the heroine role in ‘The Latest’.

Lawrence is making this dual-film in Telugu and Tamil. Musalodu is an action film with a message and The Latest is a complete entertainer. Lawrence is literally making ‘Oke Ticket Pai Rendu Cinemalu’ concept true with this experiment. Meanwhile his Muni 3, titled Ganga will be ready for release by this December. 

As per the latest buzz from film circles, Mega Hero, Nagababu’s son Varun Tej is going to do his next film under Puri Jagannadh direction. Talks are currently going on and this combination is likely to happen with Producer C. Kalyan showing interest to make a movie with this duo.

Puri Jagannadh was one of the directors who were considered for the debut movie of Varun Tej. He narrated Heart Attack script to Nagababu and others, but the mega family was not so impressed with it. Puri went ahead making that film with Nitin and Varun Tej opted for Mukunda.

Wearing rain coats, dressing plastic covers on equipment and getting electronic devises under the make-shift tents, Rajamouli and his crew are breathing life into Baahubali in harsh weather conditions. Due to cyclone, Mahabaleshwar and surrounding areas are lashed by heavy rains, but Baahubali team doesn’t want to waste a single minute even. Attributing this work in heavy downpour to cinematographer Senthi, director Rajamouli stated that it is his ace camera man’s wonderful planning that is helping them cane scenes at Mahabaleshwar.

‘Mist makes it beautiful, rain makes it un-shootable, but, Sendhil still managed to capture some magical shots’, said Rajamouli. Including Prabhas and Tamanna, some key actors are taking part in this latest schedule of Baahubali. First part of the film is aimed at 17th April, 2015 release.

In his last blockbuster ‘Dookudu’, Mahesh Babu’s comedy sequences with Brahmanandam got terrific response in theatres. None could stop bursting into laughs after watching his MLA acts and Brahmi’s Padmasri antics. Adding more fuel to these laughs, the whole thread of MAA TV owner King Nagarjuna talking to Brahmi on phone clicked like anything. Imitating Nag’s voice, Sivareddy has done magic to make Brahmi a ‘bakara’. Taking cue from this, Sreenu Vytla and Mahesh are now banking on same ‘Nag’ for ‘Aagadu’ too.

Apparently there is a scene in Aagadu that imitates Nagarjuna’s Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu. Makers revealed that this episode is done with good spirit but not any satire on King Nag. However audiences doesn’t expect less than a satire from this sequence as it happens to be Sreenu Vytla cinema. Anyway, Nag became sentiment for Sreenu-Mahesh combo. 

The makers and organizers of ‘Desi Kattey’ music launch got a shock of their life. In a most bizarre and embarrassing moment for the cast and crew of Desi Kattey a ‘blue film’ clip got accidentally played at the audio launch venue in between the actual movie stills, music videos of the film.

Reports say that the explicit clip was played for a few seconds (for fraction of seconds) in between two music videos of the film. With this unthinkable incident, organizers were left red-faced. However, when the technician in the know was questioned, he pretended as if he was “unaware” of the oops moment. 

The cast, crew of movie who had their family and friends present at the do, went through most awful experience. Starring Sunil Shetty, Jay Bhanushali, Akhil Kapur, Sasha Agha in the stellar roles, the movie is due for Sep 12 release. Irrespective of the oops incident, the film got good publicity with it, quip PR experts.
