Energetic Star ram’s new movie is being canned in the exotic locales of Pollachi. According to the latest reports, ram is currently participating in an action sequence which is being composed by stunt Siva. This schedule will be continued till 30th of this month.

However, here comes interesting update on audio release of ‘ai.’

As per the reports, makers are planning the grand audio launch function either in Hyderabad or in Chennai amidst the presence of world’s top action stars Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yes, both of them are to attend the audio function as Chief Guests and the tentative date is September 15. Like every movie of Shankar, even this one has mind blowing technical crew with lots of visual effects. The upcoming Indian spy thriller written, directed and co-produced by Kamal Hasan is ‘Vishwaroopam.’ As we all know, the first installment of movie is a super hit despite many controversies marring the actual credits. Overcoming many troubles in the due process to release, Kamal has made decent profits along with winning of critical applause. Editing many portions in a lengthy first part, Kamal came out with the idea of adding all these edited portions together to make a second part titled as ‘vishwaroopam 2.’

The most awaited audio release of the year is mahesh babu’s new movie ‘Aagadu,’ directed by Srinu Vytla and music composed by SS Thaman. Apparently news is doing rounds that arrested Censor Board CEO Rakesh Kumar has taken bribes regarding ‘Anjaan’. CBI officials revealed that Rakesh took bribes for allowing special screening of ‘Anjaan’ at Infinity Mall in Chennai much before Censor Certificate was issued. Examining members saw Anjaan on July 30 and Certificate was issued on August 5th, but a special screening happened on August 1st. To allow this, Rakesh demanded a Lenovo laptop, iPad and 50,000 rupees cash, say reports.

Contrary to this news, it is also being heard that Rakesh took bribe to certify Anjaan. And this rumor looks believable as none of the glamour splashing scenes of Samantha were neither chopped nor blurred. We have to see what makers of Anjaan has to say about this.

Anushka Sharma has denied the rumors that she would be marrying her cricketer Virat Kohli. As per the unit sources, Balayya plays CBI officer in the film which has scope to showcase varied emotions in this socio-political drama. We hear that the ‘trademark’ dialogues of Balayya in the film will be the highlight.

Makes non-star films, Geethanjali has garnered more than 5 crore till date and turning out to be a profitable prppostion for producer Kona Venkat, whose confidence on ‘hilarious comedy’, could made him cover his 7 crore investment in in two more weeks, if the collections sustain.

Sikandar:

Producer Lagadapati Sridhar has already returned 1 crore back to a distributor in Nizam and expected to refund few more crore, since his gamble went awry and even Surya presence couldn’t save the film from sinking.

Gaalipatam:

Director Sampath Nandi maiden production, has turned out to be a disappointing fare and producer would lose nearly 2 Crore of his 3.5 crore investment and distributors are in red.

Only Run Raja run and Drushyam were genuine hits as they registered profits over and above their investment, while Allu Srinu, despite being a hit, left producer 8 crore poorer since collections stuck around 25 crore out of the 33 crore investment.

Its a rarity in t-town and even more on a star-studded films in recent times. But seasoned star Venkatesh proved his stardom by drawing 20 crores on the budget of 5 crores and showed that novel films, made within a budget, would be safer proposition, than investing crores of rupees which increase the risk of the producer.

Kudos to producer Suresh Babu who made sure that it didn’t cross the specified budget and spent lavishly on promotion and showed a path, to all other star filmmakers, to learn a lesson or two, than blaming stars and audience, for their losses.

Being a producer-friendly star Venkatesh, he also completed his work in time and put in commendable performance, to pull of a very risky plot, sans cliched song and dance sequences and showed that Telugu audience are matured to accept novel themes, these days. No doubt, both celebrity brothers proved a point to one and all.
