Dad’s lover boy image and profound stardom hasn’t helped this hot siren much. Bollywood’s former hero Anil Kapoor’s elder daughter Sonam Kapoor is popular as a fashionista but has to pan out continuously to cement her position as a star heroine.

Sizzling in two piece bikini, slurping the lips of a hero and dazzling skin shows in revealing costumes hasn’t helped Sonam to garner stardom. On a regular note she gets praised for her acting abilities, but with films falling off like paper-rockets, an actress becomes a flop siren. Sonam is however set to shake box-office with her upcoming ‘Khoobhsurat’ that features Pakistani actor Fawad Ali as male lead.

The whole film revolves around a middle class physiotherapist played by Sonam, and her stints with a high profile client, a Royal family. Teasers of this flick are catchy and our hottie’s crazy acts are simply mind blowing. A couple of songs like ‘Engine Ki Seeti’ and ‘Ab To Party’ are raising mercury levels for her hot moves on dance floor. Hope all this craziness will bless her with a hit.

Ram Charan’s Expensive Gift To Chiranjeevi

Mega Power Star Ram Charan has gifted an expensive Land Cruiser V8 worth of nearly 1.25 crores to his father Megastar Chiranjeevi. Earlier, Charan gifted an expensive Rolls Royce car to Chiranjeevi some years back. Megastar is working hard for his 150th film and a formal announcement will be made very soon.

Both Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are looking for a good script and they are yet to find one. Chiranjeevi is giving hints indirectly that he might distance himself from the politics and take up his full time career in films.

Names of Boyapati Seenu, VV Vinayak and Krishna Vamsi are under consideration but Chiranjeevi want to select the director only after finalising the script. Ram Charan is likely to produce this landmark film of Chiranjeevi and more details will be out soon.

The alleged spat between Samantha and die-hard fans of Mahesh Babu seems to have not ended yet as the latter are leaving no stone unturned to take dig at former. Her recent ‘Bikini’ act in Sikandar has become talking point and fans of Mahesh are now taking potshots at her act in social networking platforms. Although she appears to have patched up with Mahesh, as she was seen sharing laughs with the superstar at Film Fare Awards show, the fans of Mahesh seems to have not in a mood to forgive her and criticizing her to the hilt.

The Tamil actress is originally named Mrudula Bhasker and is acting in couple of films there. RGV identified her talent and gave her a chance in Ice Cream-2. While audience have already voted up for this sexy beauty, it is now the turn of Puri Jagannadh.

It is said that Puri recently visited the sets of Ice Cream-2 and was very impressed with the oomph and performance of Naveena there. Puri had decided to cast her as one of the heroines in his upcoming film starring NTR. Already Kajal Agarwal and Madhurima are part of that project and now Naveeena will be the third glamour addition to the movie. The movie is tentatively titled ‘Neno Rakam’.

The regular shooting of the film began a week ago and Puri shot few scenes not involving NTR first. The actor joined the sets on Thursday. Few vital scenes of the film are being canned at Aluminum factory. The movie shooting will go non stop till completion and the makers are aiming Sankranthi 2015 release.

Bandla Ganesh is producing the film under his Parameswara Arts banner. Kajal Agarwal is a lucky charm for NTR. She paired up with the actor twice previously in Brindavanam and Baadshah. Success of ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ has made Nikhil and Swathi a hot couple in the circuits. The duo wants to repeat similar magic with their forthcoming flick ‘Karthikeya’ too. Taking this ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ as an opportunity, this lead pair has now drenched themselves wet, while prattling about the arrival of their flick in theatres. So, what is the use of making a video and calling it as some ‘challenge’? This challenge is about donating money, which both winners and losers are doing worldwide, and there is no mentioning about any donation from Nikhil or Swathi’s side.

Ram Charan’s Statement On 150th Film

Cat is out of the bag already. Megastar Chiranjeevi is not rushing to start his 150th film without any proper script on the table. Speaking with media the other day on the occasion of his birthday, Chiru clarified that script is yet to be finalized. However, everyone is eagerly waiting for Ram Charan’s statement on this 150th flick, as he happens to be donning producer’s hat for the colossal project.

‘There is lot of enthusiasm around this 150th flick. Every hour or the other, inquiries are happening about it. As a producer, I will promise clarity about the prestigious flick in a month’s time’, said Charan, after attending Chiru’s birthday celebrations held at blood bank. Already Megastar made it clear that his 150th is not going to be a message oriented one as speculated by all.

‘Paruchuri brothers are insisting me to do Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy biopic. But I’ve more inclination towards stories like Shankar Dada, Annayya and Rowdy Alludu’, Chiru asserted, giving clue about the outlook of this milestone movie. And with Charan seeking a month time to share full details about it, it’s again waiting time for Mega fans.

Nee Jathaga Nenundali Movie Review

Aashiqui 2 which was a smash hit in Bollywood has been remade in Telugu as Nee Jathaga Nenundali. Sachin Joshi who featured in films like Mounamelanoyi, Orey Pandu played the lead role in the remake.

What is it about?

Raghav (Sachin) is a very popular singer who gets addicted to alcohol and loses his fame and name. He witnesses talent in Gayatri (Naziya), a small time singer and makes her popular. They both fall in love and lives in together. Raghav couldn’t get rid of his drinking habits and that not only affects him but also Gayatri.

Performances:

Sachin: Despite playing a very emotional role, Sachin fails to emote throughout the film. His bad acting turns out to be the biggest weakness of the movie. You can hardly find any expression in his face. He has done a handful of films already and it is shocking to see him perform like a newcomer with nil experience.

Naziya: Naziya too disappoints with poor performance. One doesn’t get such meaty roles in the first outing itself. But Naziya’s expressions are too limited and she is only slightly better than Sachin.

Others: Rao Ramesh is alright. Sashank is fine. Posani Krishna Murali played a brief role.

Technicalities:

Soundtrack and the background score is a complete rip off from the original. Few songs have come out well in spite of bad lyrics. Cinematography is good and editing is crisp. Production values are impressive. Director Jaya Raveendra stayed loyal to the original and did his best in maintaining the soul and feel of Aashiqui 2. However the lead pair messed it up for him.

Analysis:

It is better to watch the original again if you have already seen Aashiqui 2 rather spending money on this one. Choosing the right lead pair is extremely important for such a script. Sachin and Naziya are so bad that even a good script and attractive sound track couldn’t save this film.

NJN is almost Xerox copy of the original where the director didn’t dare to make any changes. An emotional romantic tale demands for a lead pair who can make you fall in love with them and feel their pain. Aashiqui 2 was blessed with such an able lead pair and no wonder it did wonders at the box office.

Nee Jathaga Nenundali ruins the original on many levels and most of the blame should go to its lead pair. It is hard to enjoy the songs in NJN if you are a fan of Aashiqui 2 songs. All the songs have that dubbing flavor which won’t let you enjoy the soulful melodies. Nee Jathaga Nenundali is not recommended if you have seen Aashiqui 2. It is also not recommended to those who have not seen the original. Better watch the home edition of Aashiqui 2 than seeing this remake that is not even half of it.

Megastar’s Film City – It’s A Trash

It’s always in the news that Megastar Chiranjeevi and his close aides including producer Allu Arvind and AP minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao are escalating men, material and power to build a world class Mega Film City near Vizag. While everyone is tight lipped about it all these days, Chiru has simply quashed it issuing warnings to believers.

‘Just rumors and trash, there is no iota of truth in it. Many of my friends even informed me that they are purchasing lands beside the place where my supposed studio is coming up. I said to them that the rumor is a marketing gimmick being played by real estate people to sell their lands, but I’m not coming up with any studio’, said Chiru. He ruled out any interest in setting up film relating businesses in Hyderabad, Vizag or anywhere. Also he has sharply dismissed the idea of moving Tollywood to Vizag completely.

‘Massive hard work and vision helped Telugu Film Industry to migrate from Chennai to Hyderabad. We moved earth and heaven. Shifting to Vizag now is neither thought off nor essential. Probably Vizag could be developed into a second capital for TFI’, Megastar avers. Previously, King Nagarjuna too expressed similar opinion about moving Tollywood to Vizag.

Bellamkonda Mislead Chaitu?

What’s happening with the newest releases of T-town? Naga Chaitanya has first set to take on ‘Power’ on September 5th, then got advanced to August 29th due to availability of slot. Now with ‘Rabhasa’ back in the game for a release on the very same day, Chaitu is perplexed.

Highly placed sources confirmed that Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ was advanced from September 5th to August 29th only after confirming with producer Bellamkonda Suresh that Rabhasa is not hitting screens on 29th. After giving a word of confirmation about Rabhasa’s halting, Bellamkonda switched his opinions without even informing Naga Chaitanya. By the time Annapurna Studios has announced that ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ will be hitting screens on August 29th, even Bellamkonda released a press note claiming that Rabhasa is releasing as usual on the same August 29th.

Then why did he trick Chaitu on that morning to believe that Rabhasa is not releasing and why he changed tracks by the dawn? Chaitu’s camp felt that they got mislead and latest buzz has it that Oka Laila Kosam will be slated for September 5 release, not on Aug 29.

Mohan Babu’s Question to Chiru

Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu are undoubtedly the two stalwarts of Telugu film industry. Both have worked together for a number of films and share good rapport. Though earlier minor differences surface between the both, both have broken the ice and opted for truce. Now they’re good friends like old days. And their rift was a history and they’re meeting often in public, private dos.

And whenever Mohan Babu meets Chiranjeevi, he has got one constant question for him. If you’re wondering what it is about, that is about Chiru’s 150th Film. Chiranjeevi himself revealed that Mohan Babu has been prodding him for his 150th film. Chiranjeevi shared, “Many have been asking me about my 150th film. There is a lot of attention on the film within film industry and among people. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Mohan Babu and Nagarjuna have been asking about it. Especially Mohan Babu has told me strongly, ‘You’re coming, you’re doing…if story fits we both together are working’.”

Chiranjeevi added that he too excited about the project and looking forward to the film. He said that the movie will be entertainer on the lines of Shankara Dada MBBS, Annayya, Rowdy Alludu and under current there will be a message. Chiru also confirmed that Ram Charan will be producing the film. Chiru said that the adaptation of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy’s story is not happening for his 150th film and may happen later.
