This was about the political agitations and the threats from Seemandhra and Telangana groups that they would stop the screening of the film. But luckily no one stopped Pawan Kalyan.

The reasons for that are many but with ‘AD’ getting a smooth release, producer Dil Raju got confident and announced the release of ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ on October 10th. But sources say ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ may not have the same reception when it comes to the Telangana region.

Junior NTR’s father Nandamuri Harikrishna has openly pledged his support for united Andhra Pradesh and immediately OU JAC had pledged they would stop the screening of his son’s film. Anyway, Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy condemned all these rumours clarifying that they met only to discuss about situation in state. ‘Change of CM is just a rumour and we haven’t convened this meet against CM Kiran. We invited Chiru to appeal to him for creating pressure on high command as he stays in Delhi being an union minister’, he said.

It’s going to be a platform to thank audience for their humongous support, unprecedented response to film despite facing through a lot of hurdles and including a very bad experience of piracy of the film ahead of its release.

And at home, as per trade pundits, Attarintiki Daredi grossed around 1.08 crores for three days crossing all the earlier box office records of a Telugu film in Tamil Nadu. Karnataka also was pulled by Pawan mania as Attarintiki Daredi sets the box office banging the success with gush of collections. Trade analysts say that the film approximately collected around Rs 2.5 crores – an all time record for a Telugu film here. And it is needless to say how it is rocking in AP.

Finally, Kamal dropped his plans to ensure a smooth theatrical release.

To everyone’s surprise, Kamal wants to revive his DTH plans for ‘Viswaroopam 2’. Claiming that DTH is the future and the idea of one-time screening of the film at premium price on TV would benefit the producer. “DTH will give the opportunity to the people to watch the film at home on Day 1 and also makes them throng theatres as the impact would be more while watching on big screen. Few people are opposing this idea citing dip in theatrical revenue. Everyone have a kitchen at home, then how so many restaurants are surviving? I want to implement DTH plan for ‘Viswaroopam 2’. If it’s not possible in India, then I would try it in abroad”.
