Sreesanth threatened police
Fast bowler S. Sreesanth began shouting and claimed he had close connections with the Kerala and Maharashtra chief ministers after he was accosted by police for alleged spot fixing.
Sources told IANS that Sreesanth was with a woman companion in an SUV outside a five-star hotel on Carter Road, Mumbai, when a team of Delhi Police intercepted them.
“When a police officer showed him his identity card, initially he kept silent. But suddenly he started shouting and said that he knew the chief ministers of Maharashtra ad Kerala. How can they arrest him, he demanded,” a source said.
He also handed over his mobile phone to the police officers asking them to call the chief ministers. Police sources said Sreesanth was drunk at the time of his arrest and he mistakenly thought he was being detained for drunkenness.
Sreesanth, 30, is in the custody of Delhi Police Special cell in connection with the spot fixing scandal busted with his arrest early Thursday morning. His two Rajasthan Royals teammates Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila and 12 bookies have also been arrested.
KKR Govt. is ‘Tuglak government’
YSR Congress honorary president Y S Vijayamma has described the Kiran Kumar Reddy government in the state as ‘Tuglak government’.
Talking to the media after visiting the families of those who had committed suicides in Siricilla, Vijayamma has said she came only to instill confidence in the handloom weavers. Stating that everyone was benefited during the rule of her late husband Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, she said people used to get food, employment, pension and shelter in those days, and lamented that all these were now being denied.
She said while the government of Chandrababu Naidu raised electricity charges eight times, the present government hiked it four times. She reminded that YSR had not hiked the power tariff, RTC charges and taxes. She said YSR had come to the aid of the handloom weavers with special schemes. She has lamented that the textile parks her late husband had set up were now rendered redundant. She said YSR was a leader who understood the heartthrob of every one. She recalled how he gave whatever people wanted, even before they asked for it. She urged the handloom weavers not to end their lives and assured that they would have a better deal. She promised that Jagan would bring back the golden days of YSR.
She expressed anguish that though YSR had included waiving of Rs. 312 crore debts of handloom weavers in the budget, Kiran government had not implemented it. She said she would speak about handloom weavers’ problems in the Assembly.

The homely heroine sneha is all set to debut into films as a producer. She married actor Prasanna last year and is spending happy marital time. Unlike other heroines, sneha did not stop acting in films post marriage and also had the last release of ‘Rajakota Rahasyam’ in Telugu. In fact, sneha even rubbed off rumors on her attaining pregnancy and cleared that she wanted some more time before planning for children.
On professional front, sneha had two to three films on hand and in parallel had a rough sketch to start their own production house very soon. ‘Taking inspiration from Prakashraj, the wonderful actress is listening to storylines as a part of preparation towards beginning the own banner. Her concentration is on low and medium budget films. May be sneha will produce a film with Prasanna as hero, if everything goes right,’ a Kollywood source said.

Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabita Indra Reddy resign!
Ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabita Indra Reddy submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Dharmana rushed to Hyderabad from Srikakulam on urgent summons by the Chief Minister. Kiran also called the home minister Sabita Indra Reddy, who is locally available. The two met the Chief Minister on Sunday night. It is learnt that Kiran has explained that the Congress High Command want them to resign, in view of the image of the party, as their names were mentioned in the charge-sheet of the CBI against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Indicating that she would be resigning, Sabita did not use the official vehicle, when she came to the Chief Minister’s camp office. She came by her personal vehicle and left in the same vehicle. The two ministers were with the Chief Minister for about 45 minutes.
Media reports said that the two ministers expressed their anguish that Congress party leaders themselves made unnecessary noise about them.
Dharmana and Sabita left the Chief Minister’s residence, without speaking to the media. It is learnt that Dharmana expressed grief that he was made scapegoat and added that it would have been good if the Chief Minister accepted his resignation when he gave it earlier. The Chief Minister reportedly explained that he tried his best to save them. He told them that he took the files to Delhi and tried to convince the High Command that the two ministers had done no wrong.
He said though the High Command was convinced with the argument, still it felt that they should resign on moral grounds, as two central ministers resigned on the same grounds.

Reshoots pushed back Iddarammayilatho!
Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Iddarammayilatho’ release has been postponed. The makers have planned to release the movie on May 24th but now the movie will be hitting screens on 31st May. We come to know that the makers of the movie are not pleased with some parts of the movie and are going for the reshoot. We came to know that they are even reshooting the climax sequence of the movie.

Maruti holidaying in China!
You may hate him or love him, but Maruti is the most successful director in Telugu with two back to back hits in his kitty. As he entered the film industry, he got too busy in making back to back films. So the director decided to take a break.
