Aish, Sonam, Freida will walk the red carpet Cannes International Film Festival
Indian actresses Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto will walk the red carpet at the forthcoming Cannes International Film Festival on different occasions. They will sport looks inspired by Bollywood’s different eras.
The trio will walk as brand ambassadors of beauty brand L’Oreal Paris, which completes 16 years as the official make-up artist for the Cannes film fest. With the gala celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema this year, L’Oreal Paris will commemorate the occasion with L’Or Sunset, a new make-up line.
“As the festival celebrates Indian cinema this year, L’Oreal Paris will bring alive iconic make-up trends inspired by Bollywood that will be sported by both our Indian and international brand ambassadors,” Manashi Guha, marketing manager, L’Oreal Paris, said in a statement.
Aishwarya will be making her 12th consecutive appearance this year. She will also be the guest of honour at a special evening celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema at Cannes May 19, besides walking the red carpet May 20. She feels proud.
“It is great to see the Indian film industry being celebrated and honoured on the occasion of its 100th anniversary at an internationally respected platform like the Cannes film festival. This truly signifies the impact made by India on world cinema,” said Aishwarya.
This year marks Sonam’s third visit to Cannes. She will be present at the opening ceremony of Festival de Cannes May 15, and she will walk the red carpet May 16 as well. She is “absolutely delighted” as “this is the first time I will be part of the opening ceremony”.
“Cannes is celebrating Indian Cinema this year and I have never been more proud to be a part of this creative industry. I hope that the Bollywood inspired make-up looks we don this year at Cannes will make global style statements,” she said.

Crashing of Samantha’s hattrick dream.
Sizzling seductress Samanta romanced Prince Mahesh Babu in Dookudu and Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Both turned out to be sensational hits. Currently Mahesh is starring in a film titled Aagadu directed by Srinu Vytla.
Film makers in the beginning planned to repeat the hit pair and Samanta is over the moon and also started dreaming about scoring a hattrick with Prince Mahesh Babu which will be a rare record.
However now the unit members are having second thoughts about repeating the same pair as they are fearing monotony and are getting in touch with Parineeti Chopra. If Parineeti agrees then it will be like dreams crashing for Samantha.
Waiting for Jagan’s decision
YSR Congress senior leader Konatala Rama Krishna said he would support any decision taken by the party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the admission of Dadi Veerabhadra Rao who just left the TDP.
Talking to the media here on Friday, he said he came to know that Dadi would be meeting Jagan on Saturday and added that he was appealing to the party cadres to wait for Jagan’s decision and not to lose their patience. He said such incidents were common in new parties.
It may be recalled that some followers of Konatala were opposing the admission of Dadi. Dadi is reportedly asking Anakapalli seat to his son Ratnakar. Followers of Konatala who have been trying for the seat are angry that a new entrant was trying to snatch away the seat, while they have been serving the party ever since its inception.

‘After ‘Devadas’ and ‘Desamuduru;’ I haven’t seen any bigger and grand level films targeted only at youth. ‘Rey’ is a musical commercial love story made on a big scale. I can see a minimum of Rs.30 Crores business for this project after release,’ YVS was enough confident. If this number is achieved really by Sai then he will cross the first film benchmarks of Pawan and Charan because ‘Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi’ and ‘Chirutha’ were not sensational hits.
Cheating case against Celebrity Couple
IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals owners Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra has been in news for all the wrong reasons now. The celebrity couple has been accused of cheating a person to the tune of Rs 8.05 lakhs and a complaint has been lodged with polio in this regard.
Anand Singh, who runs a private cricket academy ‘Jaipur Cricket Academy’, alleged that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra has made false promises and cheated him.
According to Anand’s version. Rajasthan Royals manager Rajeev Khanna asked him to organize a talent hunt names as ‘Cricket Star Rajasthan’ in the year 2012 and Shilpa Shetty promised to pay Rs 250 per each participant. Based on the assurance, he arranged about 3,220 young players and the winner of the talent hunt Kumar Boresa was now a team member of Rajasthan Royals for IPL 6.
However, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra kept on making false promises every time the Anand brought the delay of payment to their notice, but after sometime they refused to pay him the amount. Finally, Anand approached the cops for justice.
Botsa sent a report to HC on oppose of ministers.
PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana has sent a report to the High Command on the dissent of ministers on the unilateral decisions taken by the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
The Chief Minister has launched some welfare schemes including Bangaru Thalli programme, which has drawn a flak from within the cabinet
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha,senior ministers K Jana Reddy, DL Ravindra Reddy and Vatti Vasantha Kumar had openly criticized the Chief Minister on the Bangaru Thalli scheme, which is aimed at benefitting girl child.
The dissident ministers met at Botsa Satyanrayana’s residence yesterday. The pcc chief has submitted a report on the development to the high command.
